I see that Wii U owners have been taking this Direct even more personally since it announced ports. . .

. . .The Wii U sold only 12 million units. Nintendo's not going to be taking a bucket to that sinking ship, they're going to be pulling the apples out of the water and putting them on the one that's still floating.

Nintendo may have failed the fandom, but the fandom failed them right back and they're taking the logical approach of going where the money is and leaving the wreckage to burn itself out.

Why would a failed system be getting special treatment and support?


Am I being a bit too harsh with this? Probably. But Nintendo is taking the logical route even if it's the unfortunate one.

Keep in mind...12 million is not an insignificant number...

It's absolutely unjustified in this scenario. Metroid fans at LEAST had the excuse of waiting for 8 years for an actual good game and 6 years for any Metroid game. Pikmin 3 is not only still recent in comparison, but Pikmin fans KNOW Pikmin 4 is coming. It's just whining. Hell, Chibi Robo fans were entitled as they wanted a 'real' Chibi Robo despite only 2 games being their 'real' definition

People take spinoffs far too personally. Would I rather devs spent the time on mainline games instead of spinoffs? Sure. But the devs that make spinoffs likely won't be the same people that would make mainline games for the series they're making a spinoff of. After all, it's not like the Yoshi's New Island people would be making Pikmin 4. A mainline game for any given series either wouldn't be made even if a spinoff didn't exist or is being made in addition to the spinoff. Spinoffs have no bearing as to the state of progress of a main game, they just prove that a series still has a pulse and Nintendo is hoping for some pocket change out of it in their spare time.

. . .Except Chibi-Robo, apparently, but I have no idea what the heck they were thinking with that one.

. . .Photo Finder would have been more fun if it didn't have the stupid inescapable fifteen second "remember to stop playing" messages that pop up every hour when it takes a huge chunk of an hour to play a single level.

Well, there's 12 million. . .and then you minus all the people who turned their Wii U's in, the people who shoved it to the back of their closet, the people that bought the system for one or two games and never got anything else. . .

And then there's the 3DS sitting over there with some four or five times as many units as the Wii U and that new system just around the corner that could top the Wii U if they throw enough into it. Relatively speaking one can see why they decided to divert resources elsewhere once they finished getting out the staples and their answer to people begging for a new IP.

I'm honestly kind of worried about the NX because it seems like a huge chunk of people who bought the Wii U are adamant that they will never buy a Nintendo system again because of it.

The no online in MM 3ds is what will prevent me from buying it. I may get it, when discounted down the road. But if they were smart, Nintendo would make it get online through an update. Also it's dumb that they removed mystery mushrooms and you can't play those courses. It shouldn't be to hard to have the game give you the mystery costumes or to make them normal mushrooms in the actually levels themselves.

Testing out this gaming mouse that arrived in the mail today. My impressions:

• Not only does it have the necessities, it does moar.
• At first I thought I was stuck with the mouse's sensitivity but then I found out I can change it with a button.
• Feels good in my hand and well built.
• Cool it has a double click button.
  
• Interesting the cord is woven instead of the basic plastic.
  
• The best part: When plugged in it turns into a RAINBOW light show.

For something only $8, this was a great purchase.

Looking at the list of axed games, here's what I see:

• One with "porn" in the title.
• One that was just a straight up emulation of SMB3.
• TONS of FNAF, Minecraft, Sonic.EXE, Flappy bird, and other meme based themed
• Most sound like shovelware and some don't sound like games at all.
• I don't see anything that was worth being saved.

Not saying Nintendo did the right thing but they didn't kill anything noteworthy either.

I just figured out what bugs me about Pikmin 3DS and it's not the YNI style graphics.

It's... the gameplay being on the bottom screen. It was such a big thing back in the DS days when the screens were equal in graphic fidelity but ever since the top got fat usually all the gameplay is up there. Not sure what this changes but it's good to know what's bugging me.

So I just had my playthrough with the new Hyrule Warriors DLC and I think I noticed something a little interesting. One of Toon Zelda's combo's (The Kokiri Sword I one) seems to share a similar animation as Zelda's Phantom Slash in Smash 4. (At least it seems to have the same attack and end lag animation as the one in Smash) Although looking back at the likes of Ganondorf and Toon Link, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised with that. Still a neat potential reference though.

Toon Link's sand wand might need to take a bit of getting used to though, although wrecking my enemies with the Spirit Train is always such a delight. Overall, I enjoyed this new DLC quite a lot. ^^

And yeah, that probably won't happen for some time. Wish Paper Mario was actually in Smash as well. A skin wouldn't be to bad, but they were never able to make Paper Mario original moves in Brawl. Wish they could have though.

UBW is the route where Rider gets the least amount of screen time, hence why she dies pretty early. The reason for her appearing weak and her true identity that puts her in the Rider class is explained in Heaven's Feel, and she is the "main" servant for that route (not to mention she gets some amazing moments there and shows what she's really capable of).
