I just thought of an interesting theory....

Pokemon Sun and Moon...with it comes the introduction of Alolan forms...and while there's plenty of speculation and theories as to which possible Pokemon may get Alolan forms, there's another possibility that I find rather interesting...

Which two pokemon are expected to play some sort of role within Sun and Moon? Given their ties to the Sun and Moon respectively as well as some possible hints found on Alola's region map...
:249::250:

Imagine Alolan Lugia and Alolan Ho-oh...XY and ORAS introduced two kinds of form changes respectively in Mega Evolution and Primal Reversionm, both of which involved legendaries...And while Alolan forms aren't necessarily a form change...it's an adaptation...

Perhaps being in Alola allowed Lugia and Ho-oh to take on different forms due to perhasp the presence of Solgaleo and Lunala or some spiritual energy or some other magic pancakes...
I don't think it's too :083: to think of them taking on other forms especially since one of them already has in the past...

While I don't think Lugia will become Shadow Lugia specifically, It may gain a Dark typing as a possibility, perhaps Dark/Dragon? Dark/Water? Dark/Fairy?...as for Ho-oh it's a bit more difficult to pinpoint what typing it may receive if it were to become an Alolan pokemon...The sun does produce solar energy/power which through human technology is converted into electricity so, Fire/Electric? or perhaps it holds a more natural means to converting solar energy...photosynthesis...Fire/Grass? Maybe it would gain a new ability that acts like a powered up Chloryphyll, Fire and Grass types benefit the most from Sunny Day afterall...

I feel like Alola forms may affect any sort of Pokemon, including Legends, of course not all of them will be affected but I feel some will and Lugia and Ho-oh are distinct possibilities...and while so far only Gen 1 pokemon have been revealed to get Alolan forms I doubt it's only going to be reserved for just the one generation...
I would like if the Gen 2 box legends and starters got the Alolan form rub, lord knows they deserve it.

For the starters I'd go with the obvious...
Dark :155:
Psychic:152:
Fighting:158:

And by the time they evolve to their final forms I'd give them a second type each because why not.
Dark/Poison :157:
Psychic/Fairy :154:
Fighting/Dragon :160:

Yeah it's just a pipedream, but hey, who said dreaming was a bad thing. :p

Tfw you defeated Mihawk with the Weakling Trio (Usopp, Nami, and Chopper) in Unlimited Adventure.

This really says a lot about the island replicas being weaker than the real deal. Because we all know a Shichibukai like him would annihilate the entire Strawhat Crew if he wanted to.

I just watched "Book of Life"

I love the unique style it has. The puppet characters, although them being puppets isn't explored very often other than a couple joked and the way the villain fights

I liked it

The ONLY part I dislike is the whole "Moulin Rouge" effect. Using modern pop songs in a setting where they don't really fit. And the whole using the pop song instead of making new music

I've honestly never understood the whole appeal of Smash Flash. It looks cool and all but in the end it's a fan game. And it feels just like that. A fan game. Rivals of Aether is the same way but that game has its own appeal with its own original characters. SSF2 just kinda makes me think they were like 'Hey, you guys wanna make a Smash game?' and then it went off the rails with crazy ideas. Notably, Sandbag, Goku, Ichigo, and Naruto. Why are they in the game exactly? Compared to the other characters they stick out like a sore thumb.

Let's not even talk about SSF1 and Mr. Incredible, 'Blade', 'Blue', and... InuYasha? OK, you know what, I'm totally fine with Smash Flash 2.

SSF2's original planned roster was even worse: it had Renji, Vegeta, Sasuke and four fan characters (including Blade and Blue).

I think the only reason Goku, Naruto and Ichigo were kept in the new roster was because they were already completed and added to the demo.

Problem with SSF2's anime characters is that it's missing Monkey D. Luffy, protagonist of the most popular manga in their home Japan.

Hey, don't talk **** about Sandbag, who DOESN'T want to play as Sandbag?
And the devs realized the OCs and anime characters were a bad idea... after they added those three
They can't just be taken out, y'know? It's like of they removed a Smash 4 character through an update: there's no point and you get the character's fans mad

On this note, I kinda wish someone would try to make a "anime Smash", fangame or official, because J-Stars sucks. I don't think there's a good anime crossover out there tbh

2: Later, in 2 hours, but I will have more time to fight.
And it will be on Wii U, of course.:4corrinf:

I've heard good about J-Stars' predecessor, Jump Ultimate Stars. It had tons of characters, both playable and support. You chose characters with the DS' bottom screen. You could decide to use multiple playable characters, or one playable with lots of support characters.

Japan only.

It's a fan game, so crazy ideas are not a problem. People like those mostly.

People are invested in it because it has a few characters who may never see the light of Smash.

Be prepared to wait a little more, I don't know when my parent want to go. So maybe we take more time.
But for now, enjoy your party! ;)

Predicting K. Rool for SSF2 today as a Hail Mary pick. Maybe Inkling as the other.

I REALLY don't think we're getting Luffy. Yeah, he'd "complete the set," but considering they stopped adding anime dudes and IIRC the newcomers were described as something like well-regarded fan favorite requests (considering how many detractors the anime crew have...), I don't think he's happening.

I'm predicting King K. Rool and Simon Belmont. Both can be considered fan favorites, and apparently at the end of yesterday's stream, Cleod said "if you have any friends who as wanted a character in Smash Bros, make sure they stay tuned", which could hint to K. Rool.

Isn't Luffy a "well-regard fan favorite request" upon the SSF2 community? At least in the fan favorite part?

I understand the stigma of anime characters, but I personally don't think detractors would ever discourage devs from at least adding Luffy. There is just too many principles to account for, to simply say that just detractors will get the devs to stop adding anime characters.

Combined with his unique moveset SSF2 devs look for with the Gum Gum Fruit ability, I very much think he's in.

I thought the same thing about SSF2 until I actually played the game. The game is really fun and the gameplay is a huge improvement over SSF1. The anime character do annoy me as well but it's really the devs decision to have those characters in.

And don't hate on the Sandbag!

Down on the corner, out in the street.
99% sure we won't we're not getting another anime character.

Iirc, McLeod said at some point that they added the only the 3 anime characters we have now because they wanted to appeal to the people who played Flash 1's anime characters without turning the game a anime smash bros game.

Usually the dev team can go back on their word if there's a special reason for it. They said they didn't want clones but due to the popularity of Falco he was an exception. I expect Lucas to follow suit down the road.
