This is why people hate fighting games. Overly complex inputs for the sake of having a so called "challenge"

Just have the usual Fireball, DP, 180, 360 and charge motions

Confession: The only Metroid games I've played are Metroid 1, Super, Fusion, and the Prime Hunters demo (and I also recently got Metroid 2 via My Nintendo). Out of those games, I've only beaten Fusion. I've also enjoyed what I've played of Super so far, so I'm currently trying to decide between voting for that game or Fusion.

For real though Metroid is one of those series that I acknowledge is good in it's own right with it's critical acclaim and fan reception but it's not the series for me. Tried playing Zero Mission one time and I just sorta lost interest in playing around Norfair for some reason. I think I was lost somewhere and I just said screw it i'm done with this. Like I said though Metroid is a series that's been beloved for decades so just because I didn't like it personally I can acknowledge that it's still a good series.

I'm like this with other Nintendo series like Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Spatoon, and others.

Yeah I guess that's what makes me terrified lol. Also my paranoia of things that can happen in a thunderstorm like damages or something.

What's terrifying the most is when it thunder's in the middle of the night as i'm sleeping (happened a week or two ago). Not only am I drowsy but i'm also scared out of my mind which is the worst combination ever.

No not at all, especially considering we haven't had a new Metroid game within the last few years. But I think you should at least give it a try...if you're into exploration of any kind, and atmospheric and isolated environments (with a small touch of survival horror) then you'll probably enjoy it...

Currently, the most accessible Metroid games are the ones in the Wii U VC and one in the New 3DS VC
If all you have is a non-New 3DS, then your only options are Metroid 1 and 2

After seeing the under 12s tournament @ SDCC (iirc), I really hope they branch out more with tournaments like these.

Especially in Australia, we get jack all around here.
