Yeah, but if we did that, we'd end up getting in a war with the Lunarians, probably. Last thing we want is to start a fight with a bunch of Moon Rabbits.

I think it's reasonable to expect a human landing on Mars within our lifetime, even if we may be quite old by then.
The main issue is actually, oddly enough, the lack of a motivation. A mission like that would obviously cost a huge amount of money, which many would argue can be better spent elsewhere.
Back in the 60s, the biggest motivating factor to put man on the moon was actually political. Whoever did it would get some serious bragging rights internationally.
Since the 90s, NASA's budget had been reduced, and space research in general has shifted from sending people into space to exploration by unmanned probes. To the point the NASA retired the Space Shuttle sometime ago.
I think setting a base on the moon might actually be more achievable than sending someone to Mars, now that I think about it.
You've got a good point. The Space Race is by far the best example of that (considering what effectively started it was the Soviet Union successfully launching a space probe into orbit for the first ever time in 1957. The Soviet Union and the United States worked like crazy for years afterwards to develop superior spaceflight technology before their opponents could and then put it into some actual, hopefully successful use. The Soviet Union made the accomplishment of sending a man into space for the first time, but the US ultimately succeeded in getting men on the moon for the first time.) Yeah, the main goals back then were being the first to make breakthroughs in technology and space exploration, rather performing research on outer space itself. Not to say that wasn't a big goal at the time either, but as you said, the greatest motivating factor behind everything was political. Motivation was stronger during the Space Race.
Setting a permanent base on the moon could indeed be achieved pretty easily. We've sent people there plenty of times before and considering how much technology has advanced since then, we could get there again and set some buildings and devices up there with some relative ease.
I also think that, when they do eventually send some men to Mars, they may plan to do more than just have them set foot on there for the sake of achieving it and do some exploration for research purposes. Mars is a lot farther from Earth than our Moon is, so it would be a good idea to get something going before they bring anyone back from it. Then again, any buildings there would need to be maintained....so perhaps that would wait until they could be certain they could send people to and from Mars fairly quickly and frequently. I don't know how long it will take until technology and financial matters will allow us to get that far, but I'd love to see it happen. Ever since the Space Shuttle program was shut down human space exploration has been at a halt. I'd really like to see what we could do if we got to Mars and took greater advantage of the fact that the Moon is so close to the Earth.

Cell looks the way he does because let's be honest here, he was the birth of many vore fetishists of today (in my case, it's vore repulsion...seriously I hated those scenes when I was a kid, and I still do). It's a fitting look for him.
Notice anything odd about this screenshot? I was actually able to adjust which character silhouettes will appear whenever you're in the Sounds menu. Here, Yoshi's silhouette is present while a Super Mario World music track is being played; normally, Yoshi gets the cold shoulder if you're not playing a music track from the Yoshi's Island series.
Well he's got a different series symbol, so I guess it's to be expected they might not map him to the overall Mario section. Yeah it's kinda off when you have games like Mario World where he played an important part and yet he's not part of the cycle, but that must have been what they were going for.
I think they should have been a little more specific with how they went about some of this stuff in the first place, though.
You know, map Dark Pit's Theme to only display Dark Pit, the Radiant game music tracks to only display Ike, the Awakening music to only cycle between Robin and Lucina. Stuff like that. Maybe map the Pokemon music from generations with playable characters to only display the playable Pokemon from that generation. Seems like it would have made a bit more sense in certain cases.

There are only two games that have made me begin to consider getting a Ps4: Kingdom Hearts III and Overwatch.
I wish the console had more games I was interested in than just that, because those really aren't big enough reasons alone to get it (especially when the former, as far as I know, doesn't have a confirmed release date yet) I've also got loads of video game consoles in my house at it is, there isn't much room for many, if any more consoles in here.
I hope you find something soon. I've been unemployed for a while and yeah, it can be really demotivating. I just got a golden opportunity though so I'm sure you'll find something too.
It's essentially a study of sorts on why the Mario & Sonic Olympics series is a thing, why the initial idea isn't as far fetched as people seem to believe, but also why it's been losing it's traction lately.
While I think it's flawed (I entirely disagree with the notion that the reason the franchise has been losing traction is because "the first one played it too safe", because up to London, the series was doing amazingly well both critically and commercially. I think it's the opposite. After the second game, the series started to play it more and more safe to the point it feels sterile and more lacking than the first game), I really liked the angle of "why the idea isn't as inherently ridiculous as people claim". For the time the original came out especially, the idea of Mario & Sonic competing in the Olympics for a crossover video game, makes perfect sense.

This was interesting read. I remember when the first Olympic Games came out, I didn't care it wasn't a platformer, I was just happy to see these two together in a game.
At this point, I think the Mario and Sonic series really needs to extend to other genres. While an actual platformer comes to mind, they could work in many different genres. As the article briefly mentioned, an RPG would be amazing, and something I'm sure fans would love.
NAH
I come for socialization, of course! Well, those are both included, and I remember both. Telling spooky stories to wait out the night before striking out by myself and dying because I ate a poisoned berry or something...
SUDDENLY, THE EARTH'S MOUNTAINS WERE MADE BY ATMOSPHERIC ARC BLASTS RATHER THAN TECTONIC EVENTS
The new things I bought with my birthday money! <3
I also got a Hot Topic coupon and a digital code for Birthright, it was a really good deal! Note I haven't gotten a new 3DS yet, so I can't play the games yet. My brother plans to use his money for the YW 2DS bundle on June 6th. I'm looking forward to watching Rick and Morty for the first time.
After a few attempts (because the Metroid Larva keep ****ing me up beforehand so I have no health) I managed to best the Metroid Queen...
I have to say that this is one of the more intense final bosses in the series, mainly because of how it builds itself up to it...
After defeating the Omega Metroids you progress through an area that appears pretty much deserted...at this point you know you're entering ground zero...you find some power-ups to prepare you for the final area...
In a Tourian like fashion you kill the remaining Metroid Larva within the nest, to which you are then greeted by angry cries echoing in the final room before the Metroid Queen encounter...
At some point I'll have to complete the original Metroid, which I do have access to since I unlocked it after I completing Zero Mission...
After that it'll only be Hunters I haven't played....well that and Pinball but I think I'll pass on that one...lol
(I didn't count Fed Force since it's not even out yet, though I will probably play that game eventually anyways)
8-Metroid Other M
7-Metroid Fusion
6-Metroid II: Return of Samus
5-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
4-Metroid Zero Mission
3-Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
2-Super Metroid
1-Metroid Prime
It was actually pretty close between Fusion and Metroid II, I liked both games though they both had their share of issues as well...but ultimately the simplicity of Metroid II with a very clear cut objective 'Kill All Metroids' I found quite appealing espeically since once you find Metroids and increase your kill count you know you're progressing (espeically when you start to feel the earthquakes which means a new area opens up)...However the biggest issue with II is just how outdated it is...It needs an official remake at some point, at the very least to modernize it a similar way that Zero Mission did for Metroid I....plus I really want to see the different Stages of the Metroid's life cycle with updated looks...

eh, I don't think they'll be that big of a problem if we big that lazy shrine maiden and Kleptomaniac witch with us when we go.
Also that lazy moon princess should be able keep them away.
Also bonus joke if anyone wants it.
Also surely just letting them have our female rabbits should sedate the Moon rabbits just fine.
