Agreed. The whole "X is terrible because she/he gets in the way of my ship" excuse is just anyone's way of saying they hate a character for just existing.

I love Light x L as much as the next girl, but I hate how that's a big reason why Misa is considered the worst character in Death Note.

I will say that even if it's a support blog, seeing the reasons why characters are trashed labelled in their entries is kind of uncomfortable. Kind of opens wounds reminding a person of things like that. If I stumbled across the entries for my personal cinnamon rolls that are almost certainly on there and in a few cases already confirmed by the comments about it, I'd be outright triggered.

I'd rather view a safe zone than a trauma encyclopedia. See what happens when people actually set aside an area where no one trashes anything or something. It probably would end up faltering into some kind of dystopia, but at least it'd be a change of pace from the infinite "everything you have ever loved or ever will love sucks" mantra of the general internet.

The most common reason submitted for character bashing according to that blog is because a given character "gets in the way" of a given few fan's ship's and OTP's.

I have The Extreme from FF8 stuck in my head. What exactly is the 3 step glitch?

The radar is supposed to display 9 Pokémon, with the nearest being the top left, and the farthest being the bottom right. Under each Pokémon, it's supposed to show no steps, or 1-3 steps, depending on how close you are to the Pokémon.

3 steps means it's within 1km from you.
2 steps means it's within 100m from you.
1 step means it's within 10m from you.
And no steps means you're right on top of it.

So it's essentially a game of hot and cold.

However, an update that came out in the US version, before the release in other regions, literally just broke the radar to always show three steps no matter how close to or far away from a Pokémon you are. Making it impossible to efficiently and finely hunt down Pokémon with just the game.

The "3 Step Glitch" renders the Nearby tracking Pokémon Useless, and it may make impossible to capture Pokémon in a Practical way.

Basically it shows Pokémon in the vicinity as beign three-steps away, but no matter how much you walk, it will always be 3 steps ahead.
