Because usually discussing forms of censorship can really speak volumes about the different standards of each country. They usually tend to overlap with video game related trivia as well. And because of the simple fact that sone of our recent Nintendo games just happen to be "infamous" for said censorship, which is still a heated subject for Fire Emblem fans to this day.

I personally blame Censorship Gaming and Did You Know Gaming? (which we're subscribed to).

Imagine looking up any Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Xenoblade X, or Fire Emblem video/news where you see the masses whining about censorship and seeing these changes on Censorship Gaming.

You can already imagine this stuff would be stuck in your head even if you want to get away from censorship debates. It's hard to name a single DYKG video that doesn't talk about localization or regional changes. Personally, knowing about them can be pretty interesting and I would give a damn if I support it for all the "anti-Treehouse" fans out there.

Golliwog, Kinnikuman the Great, Staff Officer Black, Jynx, Mr. Popo, Little Nemo's Imp, Ganguro, any black character from Tezuka Osamu's manga/anime, Oil Man, the Brazilian Saci, and so forth. It's like how anything resembling Nazi imagery is usually banned in Germany or intentionally avoided everywhere else unless it's for historical purposes.

Time flies when you are talking about censorship and the like. I haven't been this tired since a Kinnikuman marathon last summer.

That was back when Toonzai was the thing before 4Kids would eventually get bankrupt thanks to a dispute with Konami over Yugioh.

Easily one of the most obscure, but the definitely the most laughable censor they've ever did. I'd argue that a Green Popo would have looked like a racial stereotype of ogres. Shrek would have been so pissed.

So I tried out the Star Fox Zero demo on the eShop and here's my verdict:

Okay no, but I did find the game rather accessible.

...The Arwing at least. The rest of the vehicles felt really clunky, in all honesty.

The demo did kinda bother because it's only the tutorial stages, so you never get a taste of the real action. So my impressions could very well be different in an actual mission.

Just look through this massive list of characters (starter and unlockable) and anyone can have an idea of what missing characters can be added to Afro's game. There's already a nice selection of Nintendo characters, but some notable third parties (like some from Atlus) are missing.

You all can feel free to give our friend some feedback if you want if you have an idea of a fighter that would be suitable for his game. Try not to treat it too realistically since not all Smash fan games are meant to be exactly like Sakurai's criteria.

I'm personally really pleased to the character list. None of my Smash mains have been left out, and several of my most wanted newcomers are included.

I'm surprised that Bomberman isn't there, though.

Why did they remove the elements of Western culture and replaced them with Japanese ****? Making the art look like anime? What is anime doing in a WESTERN game?! Why did they damage the artistic integrity of their work like that?

The Japanese didn't ask for this! Say no to censorship and let's preserve the artistic integrity of the game!

And look at that! 8-4 did the translation! Remember they butchered the text in Fire Emblem: Awakening! Surely, the Japanese text won't be an accurate translation of the English text! We must stand against these practices!

I had this problem before when I first started to play Path of Radiance.

What I did was I switched the renderer from the default(Direct3D.) to OpenGL. Which is under Graphic setting which is under Options. That should do it, if I remember correctly.


Anyway, I'm back after a long time as usual. Luckily in this case I've been having fun on my time gone. Playing Monster Hunter and having a new partner who's been fanastic.

Also, the reason why I came here was, because, well... The new Godzilla movie...

Plus Camila and Hinoka's voices aren't that good at all. Especially when Camila sounds like a grandma and Hinoka sounding raspy as hell

I'd say Camila and Hinoka are more subjective. It's up to personal taste, as there's nothing really objectively bad about how their VAs did their lines.

If I had one issue, it would be some of the slip ups in the dialogue. They're really minor though, so it doesn't really ruin the game.

I'm starting to think I must be some sort of simpleton, as I don't have a ton of problems that others seem to find in droves.

Most of my problems are in the actual story and writing which is in both versions.
Hell, I like that the localization made Hoshido less of the damn purity nation it was in JP.

Seriously though who approved some of these voices.

I ain't asking for the most weebiest thing but I want quality voice acting especially when Awakening had a cast with years of experience and outside of some hiccups were great.

I can't really think of anyone that sounded particularly amateur in Fates though. Maybe the Birthright characters are all really good and the Conquest side is really lacking. But I do recognise most of the actors for characters so far.

I mean there are voices I dislike, but it isn't because of bad acting, it's just more to do with me not being a fan of that character and their blatant, mostly one-dimensional stereotype portrayal (e.g Sakura and Camilla).
