I don't know, I'm kinda really low key disappointed at the Classic Sonic approach.

1st because it kinda cheapens Generations a little. 2nd because I just didn't enjoy the 2D levels in Generations all that much.

Bro you should have seen this coming.

Every thing from merchandise, advertising to the freaking 25th Anniversary having Classic Sonic.

Again with my sonicverse theory, they said join the resistance. You cant have a resistance with just two people. Now seeing as classic sonic back.That mean something is messing with the timeline or timelines.Again just me overthinking it, but really a game with multiple sonic all with different gameplay styles like the adventure series could be hype

So is it heavily impied NX will actually be the console name or have the other Nintendo consoles when they were known by their codenames had logos?

Probably using it as a placeholder until the final name is revealed.

Gotta say... Could this new game be what brings Sonic back into the spotlight again (and in a good light instead of a bad light)? It looks rather promising from that one minute trailer we've seen so far and the fact it has been said that the game is being made by the people behind Colors and Generations (the best games in this modern generation) tells me Sonic fans are in for a treat.

Look at this schedule:

-September 2016 - Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice
-November 2016 - Sonic in LEGO Dimensions
-Spring 2017 - Sonic Mania
-Holiday 2017 - Sonic "Resistance"

And the Boom TV show would be sometime next year too, I would assume. Not to mention all of the merch. And for me personally, Summer of Sonic in two weeks (where I am 99% sure Mania will be playable).

It's a good time to be a Sonic fan. I am not changing this signature for a loooong time.

For the record I'm not complaining about Sonic Mania. I'm criticizing. There is actually a difference. I just thought retreading over already covered ground was pointless. I'm happier that the big game reveal wasn't Mania and it does look fun. So, since Resistance or whatever has been revealed I don't have anything left to criticize....

Except for Mania not coming to NX.

Mania legit looks so fricken good. I don't care about Sonic Resistance right now, all I can think about is that we are getting (in my mind) a continuation of the Mega Drive/ Genesis series.

Possibly, though I have a feeling they would have added one more (Boom Sonic) if that was the case.
Maybe we'll get a playable Tails and Classic Tails, as well as Knuckles and Classic Knuckles.
