Happy anniversary to a great console with some of the most influential games ever, as well as the only character that could rival Mario.

What the hell is wrong with you? I demand to know why you can't seem to spell hamburger right
Oh yeah, "Hamburguer" in english doesn't have that 'u'
I'm just so used to writing it like that so I didn't even notice lol :p

I'd like to ask, what are your fondest memories of the system and its games?
Hm, well, I remember going to a cousin's house to play Smash 64, and only for that. .U. I played alone, but, that was enough for me. Later on, the same happened with Melee, funnily enough.

In the portuguese language
It would make a "J" sound without it
Yep, that's pretty much it. As another Portuguese speaker, that's how it goes. (How many Portuguese speakers frequent this thread anyway?)

To be more precise, it's actually written "hambúrguer". Yes, there's a funny thing in the "u" called an acute accent. It serves to indicate the strong syllable.

And that's it for the Portuguese language lesson.

The best one there.
It's more hilarious that they let this pass in a commercially released game.

I love this game for all the wrong reasons. :rotfl:

. . .So I'm on GameFAQs right now, and it JUST clicked in my head what the "negotiable" of "negotiable and realizable" in terms of what characters beat Bayonetta but couldn't get into the game meant.

Some third party probably got asked for their character and turned Nintendo down.

I'm gonna guess it was Microsoft. Technically it could have been anyone, but as far as characters actually from video games go they seem like they're in about the right position to win the Ballot and then reject the request.

Although I guess Disney might be a possibility too depending on whether or not Nintendo considers a character like Sora with such strong ties to non video game characters realizable.

Firstly

This is awesome

Secondly

I'm liking how Sonic looks in this! Looks much better than how he's looked in other games as of late.

"Rosalina's Comet Observatory" got a remix, huh....

....nah you playin', this song should be called "Rosalina's Orbital Elevator".

It's so chill. You did the cosmic goddess proud, SEGA.

If the NX really is cartridge based then I'm really excited. I've seen a lot of people act like carts are worse than CD's even though the only real downside to them is the cost.

Carts are better than CDs performance-wise so that basically means digital owners aren't really getting a load time advantage.

I do wonder what the boxes and carts will be like though. Like 3DS ones, or will they do something bigger and more old-school looking?

So I went and checked the blog of that one grumpy guy again, and he had one new post that said that he believes the idea of the NX having cartridges that people have been passing around.

Then he linked this NeoGAF post. . .

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=208078861&postcount=4772

Ohohohoho. That's interesting.

I think I'd like cartridges, actually. The only time the Wii U runs at any sound louder than a whisper is when a disc is whirring in there. Use a cartridge instead of a disc, and you basically have Silence: The Video Game console. I know. I've seen a Sega Genesis run. I've seen a DS run. I've seen a 3DS run. Nothing more than the last one having a light noise if you practically shove your ear onto it. I don't know the pros and cons of anything else on it aside from people saying stuff about the price that Mr. Grumpy seems to think the exact opposite of (I.E. most people say it'd be more expensive, he said that considering Vita and 3DS game prices it'd probably be cheaper), but the noise reduction alone would make cartridges nicer to me.

*EDIT* Oh honey did I get Greninja'd on the cartridge topic? Cute. :awesome:

Really though, aren't they technically better for the money?

I can get a 64 GB SD card for $30 if I play my cards right.

Production wise, carts are more expensive to make, IIRC, which is probably what "discs are better for money" means.

For the consumer it make no difference price wise, you can find both cheap if you look hard enough.

Plus the AAA games will still be $60 anyway.
