I think my thing with more power is that while it CAN be nice, no one even bothers to use it until the latter half of a generation aside from adding some better textures.

It only promotes creativity for about half a console gen. The other half is spent porting everything backwards to the previous generation and pretending the newer tech doesn't exist except as a prettiness buff.

It's part of why every system "has no games" at first. Not only do people not bother making games for anything until further in, they port most of the games they do make over to the older system.

By the time a system actually starts making anything innovative, it's almost out the door.

So would it be nice if Nintendo kept up to at least base PS4/XB1 levels? Sure. And I think they might, considering the timing.

But I'm not going to harp on them for not instantly jumping to 4KVRXYZ, because people are going to be lazy garbage with everything until the last second. It's probably best if Nintendo makes things easier to port onto their systems, but anything beyond that doesn't really have that much incentive aside from people constantly jumping the gun.

Nintendo is going to get a heck of a lot of bad PR for not anticipating and going beyond Scorpio/Neo levels with the NX. But that doesn't mean the Scorpio/Neo are going to get any games I care about.

Personally, I'd love it if the game has a Master Quest mode that is more challenging and lets you play as different characters. I'd love to play as princess Zelda for once. If any Zelda game could get away with having multiple playable characters, it'd be this one due to how it's designed.

Also, maybe I'm alone here, but I find the idea of a female Link character to be rather dumb. Link stopped being a generic self-insert character by around the 3rd game, and quickly became his own established icon. Plus, LoZ already has female characters who could use more development and characterization. So why not use them if people REALLY wanna play as a girl THAT badly. When it comes down to it, female Link is the same ****, but with different genitals. Wheras Zelda could sport all sorts of different unique abilities not available to Link. Yes, to the second please.

And this is why it amazes me that the Kirby universe is still somehow intact.

People need something to complain about in order to feel relevant, and gender issues are a hot topic these days due to radical neo-liberalism.

It holds no weight. Most of the argument is based on the grounds that not being all-inclusive to the every variant in society that isn't "the evil straight white male" is inherently sexist. However, their argument falls flat because they argue that female characters don't get enough development and are cast aside again and again, but demand that the existing female characters in LoZ are cast aside for a generic carbon copy of a popular male character. Cognitive dissonance m8, it can do some crazy ****.

Let's not forget all the sweets and meats he ate when he was running that made him gain a ton of calories from excessive eating (and maxim tomatoes that probably burned a ton of calories after eating all the unhealthy stuff). Who knows how many calories a maximum tomato can burn? o_o

If any Zelda game could get away with having multiple playable characters, it'd be this one due to how it's designed.

Only the storyline so far seems to justify the fact that we play as Link (other than, you know, him being a recurring protagonist since day one, but that's obvious). But other playable characters would be fanservice and that is what Hyrule Warriors is there for.
