It was even more confusing when all the hands-on events were already announced and people were still insisting the Switch presentation wouldn't show off any games.

Somewhere out there, there's probably still someone who's out of the loop and thinks the Switch Presentation won't have any games.

What's even odder is that people thought we were getting specs for the system and not games. Nintendo's never been that big on that, especially not now that they're visibly terrified of all the specs-based marketing of everything else on the market. I don't see them ever actually discussing the specs in any detail. And without specs, what do you have? Games. Well, that and peripherals, but even that you can only spend so long on without games to use them on.

I don't know how people expected Nintendo to sell a console releasing 2 months after the presentation without talking about games before hand.

In the US? Yes. Darn near the 13th in your time zone, but it's still the 12th.

Considering the sheer amount of stuff happening right after, though, I think they'll almost certainly have games at it. I think they might even be allowing the Japanese to try it out at the place right after they wrap up, but I may have just imagined it being that soon after. I know with a ton of hands on over the next couple of days after it there's probably going to be games, though.

When you put an Assault Vest on Primarina and the opponent thinks it has Specs and you OHKO their Mega Salamence with Moonblast.

I think its hilarious I've been using Primarina more then the other two.

As far as I know, this is the most recent one. Basically, besides Tracer, as far as I know, all Tier 5 and 6 characters tend to be the ones that people try to gang up on someone for using them.

I found that one after they started being bros with each other one time and it's not half bad.

It definitely is pretty cute.

I guess it's fitting. The Sonic Twitter goes full blast with bold, hilarious humor and the Mega Man Twitter goes for a more subdued but still pretty funny and a bit more adorable method. They really are channeling the overall feel of the characters they're named after.

There's no tiers, but the best way to get a feel of what character is currently considered the best is to take a look at their competitive popularity statistics

The lower they are, the less "useful" that character is considered. It doesn't necessarily mean they're bad though. It's not like you can't do work with Tracer, it's just she's more niche for this meta. I think the only character I'd outright say is bad is Sombra. Outside of very niche situations that require team coordination, you're just not doing anything with her.

Logically speaking, since Steam's floodgates were open during 2016, every single entry on those lists was likely hilariously inaccurate by default.

Even aside from that, there were so many badly received games during 2016 that I practically forgot how much people lashed out against Star Fox Zero by the end of it. I guess people held onto that grudge pretty tight and just decided to be vocal about other things in the meanwhile.

I mean, an interview implied that Nintendo's higher ups were just in flat out denial about the validity of criticism and going "It's not me, it's you" about it, which was. . .incredibly bad, but even with my having such a hard time wobbling around with the controls that I still haven't gone very far in and with the writing and voice acting being kind of sad compared to how good my "anime" games are about it I highly doubt it's actually one of the ten worst games released that year according to the standard I would hold.

And well, that's reasurring at least. It's good to know that the cast is balanced enough that nobody is a bottom tier/useless.

Oh, whoops, I didn't mean no tiers, I meant like, there are tiers but you definitely shouldn't look at them like Smash Bros tiers. Completely forgot to add that in there.

Tracer is low, but it's not like she can't net kills as fast, if not faster than 76. It's just that the current meta sorta counters her. One or two tanks is fine, but we're in the triple, or even quadruple tank meta. You're not doing jack.

I finished what of FE7x exists.
It's hilarious to have a Dark Mage who can tank literally any hit and has enough speed to not care about the weight of Dark tomes.

Yeah, you're right. How do you mean that they're different than Smash Bros. tiers? In what ways are they different aside from Smash Bros. aside from the better character balance and class/role system?

And yeah, Tracer being in the bottom third makes sense since even before studying the meta, I knew she had problems with tanks. I'll still use her though, I don't care. I pick characters based on how much I like them, not viability at the top level.

Jim Sterling literally had a single entry dedicated to all of the **** on Steam (because let's be honest his list would otherwise be entirely made up of Steam Greenlight games and that would be boring) and still had SF Zero on his list.

Plus people typically enforce a "play before put" rule for those lists. A very small amount of people would even think to touch the **** that get's pumped out on Steam Greenlight.

Opinions can't exactly be "hilariously inaccurate" either.
