Do you think the Switch will have a Trophy/Achievement system? Granted, with there being no rumors to suggest this, along with both the Wii and Wii U not having a Trophy/Achievement system, I doubt that would be the case. But I've always wondered if Nintendo would ever implement a similar system in their consoles.

Granted, with there being no rumors to suggest this, along with both the Wii and Wii U not having a Trophy/Achievement system, I doubt that would be the case. But I've always wondered if Nintendo would ever implement a similar system in their consoles.

I think it will, but only in a select few games, due to being integrated with My Nintendo.

Well I guess I'd be wrong on my guess then, but they'd also be adding literally everything the fandom asked for at a super high level into Splatoon Switch so LOL I wouldn't mind. I'm amazed how good they've been at granting the fandom's wishes on short notice with the pants and tentacle styles as it is.

I'm not sure exactly why they weren't added to the Wii U version, but I have two guesses. One is that it was plot related since they're antagonists through the whole single player mode and only implied to patch up at the end, and the other is that their tentacle style clips through a looooot of stuff and wasn't designed for it.

The big question is if they're usable online. If so, then the easiest explanation is that the game is a sequel, which. . .makes it even less of a port. Other methods could be hand-waving it immediately after the game or plot starts or restricting online interactions with those players until the extended single player campaign is finished, but the game having a sequel plotline would be far easier. I mean. . .the game usually at least tries to hand-wave anything happening with an explanation even if they don't always make sense, so I'd expect one for the Octolings being playable, too.

The easiest explanation in a port would just be a brief expansion of the single-player campaign, offering a truce after the events where the Octolings begin interacting again with Inkling society.

Sunken Scroll 16 showed they had amicable relations before turf became scarce, and 6 shows their situation is pretty dire. Without DJ Octo, they may be more willing to work something out. Meanwhile, Scroll 9 marks the humanoid Octolings as aggressive and notes they have "superior physical capabilities," and 12-14 show that Octolings as a whole have very high opinions of themselves and low ones of the inklings (5 and 11 also reinforce the latter).

Prideful, aggressive, and not openly hostile but most likely still disdainful. What better way for the Octolings to show their stuff than by beating Inklings at their own game?

I'll honestly use anyone. Sometimes I'm good with the character that I pick but sometimes I'm not. I find McCree, Hanzo and Roadhog to be characters that I have trouble using g, but with the other characters I can work with just fine.

Just be really careful on Quick-Play or Competitive when you're picking "non-meta" picks, especially Hanzo and Widow. You know there's something really wrong with the fanbase when those 2, and sometimes with Torb and Bastion, are considered troll-picks and everybody else in the group starts reporting you for trolling. It really doesn't help that Blizzard's reporting system is easily exploitable.
There will be people who will give you a chance once in a while, so do be nice to them if they give you a chance and you aren't having the best of luck with said characters during the match.

Man, now I wish the Switch day was this week. Tomorrow even.

Presentation is at 4AM on a Thursday morning for me (GMT), and then the Treehouse will be at this awkward time where I won't be able to watch much.

This is worse time slotting than Sonic Boom on Cartoon Network.

I'll consider skipping class that day. Not like I have Maths on Thursdays anyway. But at the same time, I don't have confidence it will be worth waking up at 4AM for.

The reason I said sometimes Torb is because he did get recently buffed, but even then, people's attitude hasn't quite changed towards him at the moment. Actually Defense Heroes tend to be mostly looked down upon, although Junkrat and Mei get the least of it, due to being decent on both Attack and Defense.

Regardless, the Meta is pretty horrible right now, especially since it revolves around Tanks. The Meta tends to consist of:
-3 Tanks, with Reinhardt and Roadhog being used the most and D.Va and Zarya fighting for 3rd pick
-Ana, due to tanks being easy to hit and heal, her insta-heal Grenade and her Ultimate
-Soldier 76, due to his recent buff giving him very high and easy DPS and Ana's Ultimate making him even more deadly
-And 1 more healer, often either Lucio due to Speed Boost and AOE Heal or Zenyatta due to him being a decent healer and Damage dealer.

Hopefully it changes soon, considering even the fanbase is complaining about the Meta very loudly.

Hmmm, I heard that the meta was pretty tank oriented...is there a tier list you can show me of the meta right now? If there's no official one, how would you rank the OW characters?
