My go-to example for "Cartoony Realism" is The Good Dinosaur. I mean look at it.

Others have said it, but I'll reiterate: it's definitely a thing.

Ewwwww, the good dinosaur is a terrible example. People hated it because the characters didn't match the backgrounds. I mean, the environment looks amazing, don't get me wrong, but the characters going with it not so much.

(Especially when you're someone who wants to see dinosaurs that don't look like they're from a random childrens book.)

Hmm, yeah. Looking at Lupinko's tweets, he mentions #datmarvel on New Years Day, showing off a MvC2 image of Felicia vs Sentinel. Later on he posts a bunch of tweets with images, starting with:
-American Roll from the cartoon

-Momo from Breath of Fire 3, with the words,"That was a fun game."

-An image of the Quiz game that Saki from TvC is from

Basically, after all that, his last post so far is the gem that I posted, of both Wolverine and Guile. Now all I have to wonder is: Which ones are fakes meant to hide his hinting and which ones are the actual hint? IF there are any hints to begin with...

Now before I end this post, I actually do have to ask:

What is this really? The artist is Yo****aka Amano, who does Final Fantasy artwork, but what exactly did Capcom have Amano make or make for?

I'm aware, the term literally only came to exist on the exact day Rosalina was revealed for Smash (though in my opinion, I put it more on Smash fans in general than Daisy fans exclusively).

But even the most butthurt Daisy fans don't say Rosalina "killed the Mario franchise", or insinuate it has been killed at all. Nah, that's just a guy going out of his way to make someone mad.

TBH, the Lightning meme in general is ridiculous because the meme doesn't even apply to the character it was based off.

That's stupid when you consider that the standard platform to run fighters is ALWAYS consoles.

They rarely if not never play PC version of fighters because those versions go through so many ranges of speeds and performance. And consoles have a set standard

So I'm thinking of setting up my Drampa (not the 6IV- I hatched another one with lower Attack IV) like this because I don't know how to use it. I didn't do any research- just saw its ability and stats and I thought of this immediately.

Berserk raises SpA after the enemy lowers your HP below 50%, and can reactivate after you heal. So I think using Roost + Leftovers with dual screens to pump Drampa's 135 base SpA up could be pretty effective. Whether or not that's a legit strategy, I guess we will see. If not, I'll just specs it, change its ability to Sap Sipper for another immunity, and just become a wallbreaker. *shrugs*

Lightning is still well liked, and Toriyama wasn't the only one who "pushed" her (people constantly blow that out of proportion), which is part of the problem with the phrase.

The other part of the problem is...Lightning wasn't very "pushed" at all, and any extra stuff she got was part of her popularity to begin with.

FFXIII-2 happened because FFXIII, like it or not, sold really well and scored well in reviews (has an 83 on Metacritic, I've seen games with much worse scores get sequels). Plus they spent years making the engine, so may as well get some extra mileage out of it (note how the same is happening with FFXV as well). Even then, Lightning was not the main character, and appeared for 10 minutes in the opening, narrated a couple of scenes here and there, and then showed up briefly at the end. Then got a short DLC episode to herself later on (but so did Sazh, so it's not like she's getting "SPESHUL TREATMENT" like everyone says). Serah and Noel were the main characters of that game, the only reason Lightning was on the front of the box was because casuals actually know who she is (and tend to like her).

Lightning Returns happened because they needed to finish the story they started, and they wanted to experiment with certain things that would end up being used in FFXV (stuff like the open world, characters having schedules and an increased emphasis on side quests, etc). FFXIII was already an experimental series so it made sense. Lightning is the main character again because Serah didn't catch on as much, and again, casuals know who she is.

So all in all, Lightning got two major games that can really be called her own. Every other game she has appeared in has been some kind of FF ensemble game like Dissidia or World of Final Fantasy, where the main heroes of the different numbered titles tend to show up anyway, so her appearance isn't even to do with popularity at that point, it's just par for the course like all the other FF heroes.

I feel like making a Pidgey moveset:

Neutral B: Sand Attack
Pidgey flaps his wings at ground level, whipping up a ball of sand the size of Pac-Man.
The ball initially stays stationary on the field, obscuring the view and damaging (but not flinching or knocking back) opponents that step into it

Side B: Gust
Pidgey slaps its wings, producing a gust of wind like the Gust Bellows.
This wind pushes away opponents, items and all that stuff but also the Sand Clouds.

If charged, the move turns into a Hurricane that travels forwards slowly and damages opponents but also pushes them.
Sand moved up by the Hurricane flies all around the field, damaging opponents and causing them to flinch (but still no knockback).
The lack of knockback make this the ultimate gimping move,

The Hurricane can also be charged.
If charged, it grows bigger, deals more damage and travels faster

Up B: Tailwind
Pidgey flaps its wings downward, summoming a column of wind that pushes it in the chosen direction.
The Tailwind stays up for a while and since Pidgey is automatically pushed up, he can pick every move he wants while in it

Sand Clouds that hit it get pushed upwards

Down B: Feather Dance
Pidgey shakes his wings, firing feathers and down right before him.
Opponents hit by the down get slowed down and the feathers need to be knocked off like Pikmin.
If Pidgey is quick, he can summon a gust before the feathers disappear right after the dance to fire the feathers at the opponent.
