Even the villain is cliche as ****. You might was well play Linkin Park in every scene he's in.
I found him to be the best comedy in the whole thing. He's basically what Vader would be if he hadn't gotten a lava bath. Not to mention his interactions with his master sound like a Saturday Morning cartoon villain getting chided by his mother for not being evil enough.

I want to add, that a good example of a character with no motivation is actually Max in the latest Mad Max. But I would also argue that he's not the MC of his own film. It's actually Furiousa, as the story revolves around her and her actions. Max is just who we see the world through.

Still, Max is a good example of a character who has no interest in adventure, and prefers to keep away from the action, rather than challenge it, and only comes to blows when he absolutely has to. Adventure chases and finds him time and again, and his core drive is SURVIVE, and this is explicitly stated at the start of the film in a short narration.

Max is actually a fine example of how you'd write a character with Rey's supposed motivation, of wanting to go back home and avoid trouble. As Max is not exactly cowardly either. Mad Max Fury Road was also a 10/10 film though. So there's that. But imagine if Rey in TFA was more like Max in terms of characterization, and rather than be the MC, she was more of a secondary character to Finn (despite her being the Jedi), in which the story revolved around him leaving the First Order, and being chased down by them. The story would be leaps and bounds better in terms of writing, simply cause the characters are already more interesting, and the focus of the plot is where it needs to be, with the characters themselves.

To this day, I'm still surprised Disney never made a Who Framed Roger Rabbit ride yet for Walt Disney World.

Like, they had no problem making a dark and violent Alien ride until parents pressured them to make a Stitch ride instead.

Yep...for some reason...
Anyway, I'm thinking about buying Hyrule Warriors 3ds. Is it any good? Fluttershy Fluttershy I've only played the console version.
Lemme say this.
I beat HW's story mode, Cia's Tale, and about a quarter of the original adventure map, for the WiiU version.
I spent over 300 hours in HW:L for basically 100% completion.
All A-Ranks, All Skultula, All Treasures, all maps DLC and Not.

Or more so, how about Ren? He ADORES Vader, and he wants to "finish what Vader started." You mean destroy the Sith? Because that's EXACTLY what Vader did. Vader the is person solely responsible for destroying the empire and killing off the remaining Sith.
To be fair, destroying the Sith is what Anakin did after watching Palpatine electrocute Luke and realizing there was still good in himself. As Obi-Wan would put it, Anakin and Vader are different characters from "a certain point of view". Kylo Ren only looked up to the bad side of him (Vader).

But is the Music good? Can it beat "Dilapidated Way ...for Casinopolis"
Eh, I think most of the casino levels I've played probably have better music than this one did. Probably heard a lot of better songs in this game already, too. Not really something I'd bop out to, just kind of a filler song.

It's not outright BAD though, just forgettable fluff. Meanwhile if the song you mentioned is what I think it is then I already have it playing in my head.

Music direction for this game in general is pretty alright, though. Nothing driving me up the wall yet, so far whenever I've had the volume on it's all gone from "just OK" to "Hey, this is pretty nice isn't it?"

it's good lol trying to not get carried away by the fighting is a bit difficult lol. They are technically the same game though with a few added things in Legends from what I've read..

You mean the ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter?

They basically wanted it to be an Alien ride at first until they went for an original IP just to avoid having an R rated film licensed in their park.

The ride was closed in 2003 after enough people were traumatized by how terrifying it was. Thus Stitch's Great Escape was born. Not only as a light hearted replacement, but another way for Disney to milk his character at the time.

Thanks for the information!
Also, when I did play it on the Wii U at a friend's place, my favorite character by far was Sheik lol. So, as soon as I can play as her, I will probably use her.

I'd still love a Lion King-themed ride in say, maybe Adventure Land or California Adventure somewhere.

On the subject, I still seriously wish that Star Wars Land never became a thing. They took out a big part of Frontier Land for it.....when they already have plenty of Star Wars-themed things in Tomorrowland.

To this day, I'm still surprised Disney never made a Who Framed Roger Rabbit ride yet for Walt Disney World.

I thought it was pretty cool that they were actually planning to use the the Xenomorph from the Alien film franchise as the monster in that ride. However, they ultimately went with an original alien because Disney had a rule to not use any "R" rated movie material.

Guess it would've felt really out of place for some....but I would've liked it myself, haha.

Still doesn't explain Ren's confused adoration for him. Being Luke's pupil, Ren would be more than aware of Vader's actions at the end of EpVI. Especially since Luke was very vocal about what his dad did. They gave him a proper funeral with a pyre, so it's more than evident that Luke helped redeem his father's name in the eyes of everyone, and would more than gladly tell Ren.

And even if he didn't, being force sensitive, Anakin could very well show himself to Ren and tell him he's misguided.

There's just a very strong contradiction with Ren's motivations, but to be fair, his are a lot more clear than everyone else's, this is why I feel he's the character with the most potential. His words could be turned around into perhaps him being a sort of "double agent" or just general confusion on Ren's behalf, as him being confused is a defining character trait for him.

Still, that could have been executed much better than it was, as it's not very clear, and Ren aside, the rest of the characters are totally inexcusable.

Started playing Kirby Planet Robobot. I was blown away by the awesome aesthetics of a casino level I came across and they asked me how the music was.

Come to think of it, there was a lab level near the end of the first world where the color scheme combined with the aesthetics was really great, too. The music I think helped the atmosphere there as well.

There was one, but they closed it a while ago.
After doing a little quick research, I don't think it was actually closed.

I wouldn't have known either way otherwise though; no one in my family ever liked Toon Town's rides, myself included, so we haven't revisited it since we went there for the very first time years ago.

Was about to fix my post.

They closed Toontown in Disney World, didn't know it was still in Disneyland.

I don't know but I just couldn't get into that game. That happens with a lot of Kirby games.

Guess I'm not a fan of Kirby.

I've played the original Kirby's Dreamland, Kirby's Adventure, a couple of Gameboy spinoffs, and Triple Deluxe.

I don't think I gave enough credit to a couple of the level themes so far the way I worded that, there's actually been some really good stuff, it's just been more the relaxing kind of good, which I don't usually like as much as I do here so I'm not sure how to describe it. Mostly it's just that I haven't made it far enough in for the songs types I like best in Kirby to kick in, namely the major boss themes.

It's a bit above par compared to most Kirby level music from what I've listened to so far, the better songs lift it pretty far up even if some don't leave as strong of a mark. Much like the rest of what I've seen so far it's a jump over Triple Deluxe, though. I loved Triple Deluxe's final boss themes, but I didn't really like stuff like Floral Fields. The tone of Robobot has kept the music from being too overly fluffy so far early in, and there's some songs I might very well listen to if there's a sound test again from what I've gone through already. Hopefully this means the major boss themes are somehow even better.

As for level appearances, I think this is some of the best I've seen from the series yet. The prettiness of a Kirby level usually lies forgotten in favor of the gameplay for me, but those two areas I mentioned really stood out.

After rewatching The Force Awakens recently, I think it's a decent movie. Yes, it has its flaws, and it lacks originality (even for Star Wars' standards, and the series has always taken inspiration from other sources), but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I haven't played either of the 3DS ones but I've played most of the portable ones. From what I've seen, Robobot's premice and setting sets it apart from most entries in the series It's emphasis on Machines and Science is quite far from the emphasis on "Magic and Stuff". But it also sets itself as sort of a sequel of sorts to Triple Deluxe, so it's in famillar terrtory. From what I heard, this repersents itself in the soundtrack. It sounds different but still Kirby-ish. So I kinda get what you mean by the tone keeps it from getting overly fluffy.
Also, If you want to play one after this, I recommend Super Star Ultra. It has great music! (I mean I liked it so you know...)

I think I lost interest in Kirby after Triple Deluxe.

As much as I liked that game, I didnt feel like playing kirby anymore after that
*shrug* I can't say anything too definitive since I'm not that far in, but I think I've been enjoying this game more than Triple Deluxe.

For some reason thinking of Triple Deluxe made me put off playing this for a couple of days after I got it despite me liking Triple Deluxe, but after a day of being a bit too ill to fully enjoy the first section all of a sudden I'm playing it and everything feels more worth my attention somehow. The Robobot armor is more fun than Hypernova, the music has been better, and I legit felt kind of sad when I ended up losing my Psi ability after using it for a couple areas.

Or maybe I'm just more in the mood for Kirby today, I don't know. Or just feeling better than the past few weeks in general.

Although I played Planet Robobot back in June and haven't touched it since completing the game 100%, it was a great game for many reasons that I'd rather not spoil for the moment since you're currently playing through it. As for the Hypernova concept from Triple Deluxe, I didn't have anything negative towards it (it really emphasizes Kirby's ability to inhale just about anything as a way to get through the game and remove dangerous enemies). However, I will agree that the Robobot Armor was very well done, and I loved the idea of using the enemy's tech against them.

Since it's kinda like a sequel to Triple Deluxe, shouldn't Robobot be an improved game?
But I guess outward forces can affect your perspective of a game.

I just found out the reason DK is kidnapped in DKC2 and 3 is because RARE and Miyamoto didn't get along very well and Miyamoto said that DKC sucked.

So, RARE's response was to make their own original DK characters the main characters and DK the damsel in distress

And to this day, the Yeti in Expedition Everest will just be a living meme (Disco Yeti).

Disney's best shot of really fixing it and taking the whole ride down, fixing the yeti, then rebuild the whole thing from scratch in years. Kind of ironic how the largest most advanced animatronic got nerfed because it would be heavy enough to bring the whole mountain down.

I have obtained all of the legendary TRIUMPH FORKS!!

Pretty much the big change in this part of the game was that you can obtain 5 of the Triforce Shards as is without acquiring a chart, while the other three you still need sea charts, which still need to be deciphered by Tingle....damn I was hoping I wouldn't have to bother with Tingle at all...
oh well less than half is better than everything....

Next I'll be heading to Hyrule to take on Ganondorf!
I really did miss this game though, and some of the changes it had made it less tedious and more enjoyable!

I think I have an idea which game(s) I'll be playing after I'm done this game!

I thought I said it was an improved game?

Gah, I haven't been thinking as clearly today, not as much blood running to my head. But yes, Robobot is an improvement over Triple Deluxe and it's only natural that it would be. I had just gone into it expecting it to be largely the same quality as Triple Deluxe and was pleasantly surprised when it proceeded to be even better. Of course, I had already preemptively assumed that the Robobot armor would be better than Hypernova, so that probably colored my perception of that ahead of time, but everything else took me by surprise how much more I enjoyed it compared to the previous game.

Sorry, I didnt catch that line. I guess im out of it.
Anyway, the Armor is the Animal Pal from Dream Land 2 of Modern Kirby and Supernova is like The Ultra Powers from Return to Dreamland. (Look it up you'll know what I mean.) The Suit is changing how an Ability works and Supernova is like Light, a Situational ability.
It seems like HAL was looking back at what made their "game gimmicks" work or not.

Oh yeah, I saw it just now. From what I recall Miyamoto's comments about DKC from 1995 are fake though there's no denying the tensions between him and Rareware. The development of Star Fox Adventures pretty much confirms that.

That's what angers me when people always talk about how they want Nintendo to buy the rights back to Banjo/Rare and all that crap. If Nintendo truly thought Rare was worth keeping they would have never sold their stake to Microsoft and just casually got rid of it. There's no denying that Microsoft royally ****ed the series though Banjo still being with Nintendo wouldn't be much better seeing as he would play second fiddle to Mario and the same things would happen all over again.

Let's just stop the Mary Sue argument. Period. It's going a bit too far.

FYI, Objectively Good and Objectively Bad do not exist for fictional things. It's a subjective thing aa is. Drop thet argument too.

And for the record, I don't care who started it, who finished it, or whatever. Time to let it go, since it's going way too far now.

Again, do not reply to this beyond PM's. Any messages posted before this will not be warned if they happened to suddenly reply while I was typing it. This applies after this message is posted. Any flaming I would obviously still warn/infract for that reason only.

You know there's something wrong when the Matterhorn has a better yeti than Expedition Everest.

Though an update to the yeti will take years to happen like you said.

Oh, so what am I fighting for a boss for this area, a . . .bunch of crystals? Oh, it's a hologram maker!

I love you so much for making ESP one of the abilities I could pick from before I started this.

*roflstomp* *roflstomp* *roflstomp*

Mwahahahahah!

Was any of this after Kracko actually bosses, or did you start big and just pad it out with minibosse-OH NO NOT YOU

*pauses*

Oh, they literally admit that it's Ness they're referencing with ESP, even if they don't outright state his name. Cool steaks. I guess HAL did make Mother as well.
