Oh yeah, I saw it just now. From what I recall Miyamoto's comments about DKC from 1995 are fake though there's no denying the tensions between him and Rareware. The development of Star Fox Adventures pretty much confirms that.

That's what angers me when people always talk about how they want Nintendo to buy the rights back to Banjo/Rare and all that crap. If Nintendo truly thought Rare was worth keeping they would have never sold their stake to Microsoft and just casually got rid of it. There's no denying that Microsoft royally ****ed the series though Banjo still being with Nintendo wouldn't be much better seeing as he would play second fiddle to Mario and the same things would happen all over again.

To be fair, they've always had a shakey relationship and in most cases since then, Nintendo pretty much gives zero ducks about Rare and those old guys don't even care about Rare themselves.

It's why all their popular franchises get outsourced nowadays by Microsoft since those other developers can do something even better.

Not sure what you mean. Rare went shopping around for buyers mostly because Nintendo didn't buy out the remaining stake in the company. Never even offered.

Weird move considering they had a 49% stake already, DKC was the second best selling game for the SNES, six of the top twenty best selling N64 games were Rare, and even in the highly unlikely event Ninty didn't know they were about to lose their second party dev, Microsoft waving their wad around should've given them the hint.

Still an enjoyable game as I remember it...with some changes to make going through the game less strenuous yet didn't take away from the gameplay (one such change is, NOT getting knocked out of the boat when you take a hit, which was very annoying in the original)...However, while the Gamepad was useful for on the fly item switching, and map checking; I'm going to have to agree with Aonuma regarding how distracting it can be at times as I find myself constantly looking down at the touchscreen while I should have my attention at the TV...

Also, similarly to some footage of BotW we've seen, I noticed some serious framerate drops when there's a bunch of activity going on the screen all at once...
Regardless, I had fun...Wind Waker was always one of my favourtie games on the Gamecube and also one of my favourite games in general so it was really refreshing playing through the game again...

And of course I had to give the salute when Iwata's name came up in the credits...


As for the next game(s) I'm going to be playing through...Let's just say I've put this off for too long!

This is the actual hard copy Metroid Prime Trilogy! Still remember picking this up completely unaware that it was even a thing until I randomly found it at GameStop years ago...I already owned all three and made no hesitation to pick it up when I did! And I do not regret it either!

I'm going to make an honest effort to play through the whole trilogy front to back! I've tried it before a few times but other things got in the way so I was not able to finish it...

Such reasoning is also why I only played through Corruption once because every other time I intended to play it was during the trilogy run which I never finished! I can't wait, I'd play it now but it's getting late and I have to work tomorrow....r

For the record, the original plan was for Activision to buy them up. They were the highest bidder for the longest time. Nintendo and Activision were in deep negotiations over the properties they owned. Nintendo keeping them close for properties like DK, Banjo, etc. while extending their resources to make 3rd party properties that could extend to other systems. Making Rare even more of a household name. That plan fell through though when Microsoft came in with a crazy ridiculous amount of money. What's crazy is that Activision would go on to buy out Vivendi. The owners of Crash and Spyro.

But yes, Nintendo and Rare's relationship was being tested towards the back end of Star Fox Adventures. Creative differences were the most obvious problems. Nintendo definitely tried to pull another Donkey Kong Country with their rebranding of Dinosaur Planet which was, in hindsight a bad idea.

We may not be able to paint Nintendo as an angel but saying they didn't/don't care about Rare is downright wrong.

In these past few hours, I've been compiling a list of Pokemon that utilize arm blades as their chief weapon in battle. With everything checked, it's time I begin the next Pokemon poll:

I know most people here probably saw this one coming. Not only is it my favorite out of all the arm blade Pokemon, but it's also my favorite Pokemon around. Awesome design, awesome physical sweeper, awesome personality, awesome Mega Evolution, I could go on and on about Gallade.

I'm interested to hear what is everyone's favorite arm blade Pokemon based on the poll. In the next several hours, we shall see which arm blade Pokemon is the most liked here in Nintenzone!

Rough translations by Fubarduck:
- Nova: Had been strongly pushed by Marvel since Vanilla MVC3. "He's required for the next version" we were told.
- Ghost Rider: He was indeed popular/well-known. We saw that the "motorcycle issue", could be compromised by including it in his move set.
- Doctor Strange: Pushed super hard by Marvel. We thought we'd be able to make him unique as a "magic" user - he was really fun to work on.
- Rocket Raccoon:We were actually feeling out Squirrel Girl at the same time, but the Raccoon army beat out the Squirrel army in the office.
- Blade: Too many components that would've come from Dante I think...
- Spider-Woman: The flying and electricity would've been too similar to Trish...
- Psylocke: Well-known, good design, and having Strider as a rival would've been interesting - but the fans' voices just weren't loud enough.
- Spiral: From the previous title. Creating a fencer with 6 arms plus magic would've been crazy hard - please forgive me!
- Cloak and Dagger: Has a huge aesthetic impact, and if we treated it like a stand from Jojo's it would definitely be interesting! But in a mirror match w/assists, you'd have absolutely no idea what was happening on the screen. And I mean, double the work, no way!
- Multiple Man: Like I said - workload.

These makes it seem like Nova and Dr Strange are guaranteed to return, with high likelihood for Ghost Rider and Rocket.
The Psylocke comment is legitimately surprising. Assuming there's no licensing issues I'd say her chances went up a lot.
If Trish is NOT returning, then that means we actually could get Spider-Woman?
Sounds like a soft de-confirm for Blade, Spiral, and Multiple Man, though with the loss of assists maybe C&D still have a shot?

It could be that Vergil was already on the table, and adding Blade on top of the other two would be seen as too redundant. Or that Marvel characters try to have unique movesets in comparison to the Capcom characters. As in, no one is too similar to an established fighter from the other company, but can have Ryu/Akuma dynamics. I don't know.

Maybe Daredevil will make it in this time. Especially with the MCU centric plans going on, him, Punisher and Luke Cage would make for good fighters.

A lot of stuff happened after the last update.

I had to go to a town invaded by Team Skull.... to save this gen's equivalent of Rattata...
Battle against Guzma was surprisingly easy. My Pokemon were only few levels above his.
The Kahuna battle was quite sudden. No problem with that one either, thanks to Crabrawler and Golisopod.
Then to the Aether Paradise, where I had to fight Guzma... again. Still easy, despite having two additional Pokemon.
And then the Lusamine battle. It was quite though, especially her Bewear, who barely took any damage and OHKO'd my Crabrawler.

I probably should evolve couple of my box Pokemon next, in order to fill the Dex.

So, I've been wondering: what happens to your Zygarde Cells if you trade a Zygarde away? Do you lose those cells forever? And can you use other player's Zygardes to separate them and get the number of cells they had?

You can separate the Zygarde cells of any Zygarde you get from anyone unless it's got Power Construct

If you trade your Zygarde away, it's cells are gone forever

However, if you get more Zygardes you can separate them and get a perfect Zygarde without getting all the cells in your game

That's how I got a perfect Zygarde

The displayed "gender" is actually the sex of the Pokemon but I'm assuming GF went with gender from the start to avoid using the word 'sex' in their game
That's probably why the displayed "gender" contradicts the informed one, because it's actually their sex and the informed one is their true gender
