. . .It just sunk in that the reason why songs weren't added to the sound test with the Callie and Marie Amiibo is because the Sound Test itself was an Amiibo unlocked function from another Amiibo and I forgot for a moment.
I really hope a Sound Test gets upgraded to a standard feature in the Switch version.
. . .Come to think of it, the minigames in general are kept strictly to the touch screen and used as lobby entertainment, while the Switch has only one screen. Does that mean the minigames would be removed? That would almost certainly be an indication of a content shuffle in terms of Amiibo function, although technically the minigames don't NEED to be on a touchscreen to be played so if they really felt like it they could shuffle the UI somehow. Still, I don't see why I can't mull the possibility of Amiibo changing functions over.
Last Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas songs; it's among the many I've listened to it every year since I first heard it on the radio.
Admittedly, I didn't know George Michael very well apart outside of a few select songs of his, but this is still very disheartening for me. Another life claimed this year....

I did enjoy Christmas apart from this news and having a gross feeling in my throat since I woke up....got plenty of fantastic gifts, my family loved everything I got them, I had dinner with them, etc. It was pretty great.
I've decided I'm going to start playing WWHD again...
Taking a little break from Pokemon and shiny hunting as nothing much is going on other than that and my Ghost type run is putting along here and there (did manage to evolve my Cubone into Marowak though)...
Rather nice coincidence that I started watching Ace Attorney playthroughs and looking into the story recently, because this specific day (12/25/2016) marks the day that the murder on Gourd Lake happened and Turnabout Goodbyes started.
. . .I think I hurt my brain reading YouTube comments.
Anyway, this starts out kind of boring but. . .give it a minute, it takes a swerve.
It's possible that a couple of people here who aren't that big of Splatoon fans might still enjoy the direction it ends up in. . .Since the YouTube comments got REALLY incensed due to not getting the joke, it's a crossover gag.
Today has been. . . a day
After last night being Christmas with my mom's extended family, i woke up expecting nearly nothing because i only had pokemon on my list and ended up getting a PS4 (which will be returned) and no pokemon since my mom lost the copy she bought
Watched Civil War which was awesome (Redwing isnt a real bird tho) then spent a super long time with mty dad's extended family. Then a random passing remark made my mom remember where the game is a just now. . . but i forgot my 3ds at my grandma's house.
I wont mind going to work tomorrow for a return to normalcy.
unrelated, but i sold my soul to satan and used a luna blaster on Tower Control to do this
I finally started playing Pandora's Tower, and I enjoyed it more than I thought it would. In retrospect, it's surprising that it took me this long to get my hands on a copy even though I've had both Xenoblade and The Last Story since the year they were initially released in North America.
Because GS is full of punks, losers and *****-made babies named Kevin Durant
Also because they have no inside game and their post defense sucks.
Lastly Curry has absolute trouble defending other point guards which is alright since he can match them offensively but can be the worst thing in the world especially when you have an awful shooting night.
Its why they have players like Kyrie, Harden, Westbrook and other elite guards have them being guarded by Curry who is an average defender
The Portal level in LEGO Dimensions is really good. Manages to mix Portal's style of puzzle solving and LEGO's gameplay very well. The dialogue also has that same Portal charm, with all of the original cast back, even J.K Simmons as Cave Johnson.
I only played a little bit of Portal 2, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this. If anyone here is planning on getting LEGO Dimensions, this is a pack I highly recommend.
Now keep in mind, when I play Pokemon, I like to use the new EXP Share as it means I can have a team of twenty as opposed to just six. With that said, here we go.

Pokemon Refresh seems like a big improvement over Pokemon Amie. I don't have to play tedious minigames to get the darn food. Gen VI was like, "OH YOU WANT FOOD! WORK FOR IT DUMMY!!!"
While, I'm here, I'll admit the graphics are superb. Really pushing the 3DS to its limit.
NEW POKEMON: LEDYBA - Francis Probably not a permanent member. I've used Ledian on a team before, but still, he's with us for now.
NEW POKEMON: YUNGOOS - Gumshoe After the Ace Attorney character. Hmm... He might be interesting to raise. After all, I've never used one before.

If you are catching everything, pichu and grubbin are on the first route. Pichu can be found in the first city though, and grubbin in other routes across the first 3 islands

Finally got the Christmas avatar retired for now. Glad to rock this Nier one. If any of you have not experienced Nier, try to either play or watch a lp of it. It's a flawed but one of a kind game that really plays expectation and has some the best writing and music around.

Well that was a refreshing play session....I started were I left off which was on Outset just as I was about to meet Jabun...
While knocking off islands on my Sea Chart I bumped into the Cyclone which I at the time was unable to do anything about and it warped me to the Dragon Roost so I decided to run over to Windfall to get the fabled Swift Sail!
I then went ahead and placed the three orbs on the statues and took on the Tower of the Gods...I recall the first time I faced off against Gohdan, which gave me so much trouble back then...only because at that time I hardly used L-targetting to aim so it was more difficult than it should've been...But now as a Zelda veteran Gohdan was not an issue....
It feels good playing Wind Waker again though...I don't know why I stopped playing when I started with the HD version earlier this year...
I figure I need to finish this game before BotW's release, as this version was the result of experimentation for BotW's development anit really does show how much Wind Waker influenced both the style and technology featured in BotW, especially while playing through the Tower of the Gods...
I really, really, really wished Pokemon allowed you to skip the tutorial, or at the very least have an option to skip huge chunks of dialouge; like "Hold Y to skip scene" or something. It's definitely cool to see cutscenes in a Pokemon game, but when they're just about how to catch a Pokemon and what a Pokemon Center is, it's just annoying. I get it's for the newer fans/younger audiences, but having the option for those who already know (or don't care) would be really nice too.
Have these intro sections been getting longer with each passing gen? Black and White seemed on the longer side too (although not SuMo long). I don't recall Gen 3/4 being super long.

One of my biggest complaints about Sun and Moon, and the past few Pokemon Generations in general, is the constant hand-holding...
Being forced to sit through tutorials and cutscenes is fine for the first couple playthroughs, but after successive playthroughs I especially don't want to sit through tutorials for features that I have never used or probably never will use...Like the Battle royals for instance...
It contributes nothing to the story and it's only a minor multiplayer aspect that players could've easily found on their own, yet we still have to step aside from our adventure in order to be taught how it works in each playthrough...And it's not just that, the catching pokemon tutorial is STILL unskippable, even in past generations where it's possible to capture pokemon BEFORE you are taught how to catch pokemon, the game still forces you to sit through it...It should at least give you an option to watch it or not especially if you've already caught pokemon...
I know the intent is for those little kids that will play the game for the first time and it helps them along so they don't get confused, but you only play Pokemon for the first time once...

Going off of memory, Gen 3 was definitely quicker then later generations as you're pretty much released after you beat May/Brendan and get your Pokeballs, and there's a good amount of time between them and Wally's cutscene. Gen 4 (or Platinum at least) was around the same amount of time as BW as you still were getting introduced to features well into Jubilife City and it was the first games to start having more story sequences. B2W2 you can skip at least some tutorials if you say no, but there were still some story sequences to get through. XY was worse then all three, and Sun/Moon did not learn from it.
While I definitely do enjoy getting to know the characters early on, I do agree that we need a way to skip over or at least abridge intro sections as the games go forward as we're getting more added to the tutorial sections and it's starting to bog down the pacing. It's not fun for everyone to repeat learning what they already knew for years, and adjusting the games for those players would greatly help in making repeat playthroughs more enjoyable and less tedious.
