"Man, reseting for a Modest/Timid Xurkitree takes too long, maybe I should try with the second so I don't have to constantly see the pokedex registration screen"
*finds Timid Xurkitree on first try*
Well that was quick
I then went for Celesteela and got two Brave ones smh
Yeah Salazzle is this weird thing where its typing and abilities scream "toxic wall" but then you see her stats and she's like lol jk im a set up sweeper.
Yeah. I still whole heartedly believe that Salazzle was suppose to get Merciless and Toxapex was suppose to get Corrosion but someone at the Ability department lol'd and swapped them and was like, "dis gon b goooood"

I don't think I'd want to face Corrosion Toxapex but Merciless should've been Salazzle's ability, yes.
EDIT: I also want to slap the dude that went:
Person A: "Mmmm what HA should we give Toxapex?"
Person B: "I know! Let's give it something fair and an incentive to play more agressive"
Person A: "lol no lets give it regen for kicks and giggles"
Person B: "genius"
EDITEDIT:
Also wanna hug the hero that secretly gave Araquanid the water power boost part of his ability without his boss noticing it.
I'm have a great time with this setup. Not a whole lot of people see it coming. Basically, Z-MM is effectively Swords Dance and allow Staraptor to sweep teams with ease. You could opt for the FlyNuke and trash whatever decided to try and wall you.

so having given it some thought and looking at all the angles
i have determined how many characters i think will be added
to smash on the switch.
8... as a max at any rate with 3 being a minimum, now then
the reason i think that 8 is a maximum is because with the
current CSS taking into account over scan there is room for
8 more characters with out the CSS radically changing.
now of course the reason i made 3 my minimum is because
the bottom 3 rows only need 1 character a piece to make the
CSS have a nice and full Square shape with every unlockable
character on screen (yes that includes the mii fighters).
so who do i think will get in? well Ice climbers and Inklings
are the obvious first 2 characters with wolf being a safe third.
honestly i could see them bringing back Squirtle & Ivysaur as
they had unique playstyles & have the benefit of having their
brawl data intact.
Which leaves me at 3 spots left that im unsure of i mean
he could go the route of bringing back every smash veteran
thus having a definitive end to his work, Or he could only
Bring back snake and give Namco, & Square a 2nd character.
its just too up in the air for me to call it definitively i will
however in a spoiler list the top non veteran characters
id like to see as this post have gotten a bit
long in the tooth so to speak.
First party
Bandana Dee, K. Rool, Sylux, Elma, Dixie kong
Fiora, Isaac, Ray 01, Wonder Red, Decidueye
Incineroar, Impa
Third party
Lloyd Irving, Laura croft, Heihachi, Chrono, Crash
Rayman, Simon Belmont, Ryu Hyabusa, Spyro,
Kasumi(DoA), Bomberman, Jade(BG&E)
I NEVER THOUGHT THOSE WERE ITS EYES.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I CAN'T SEE A POKEMON THE SAME WAY AGAIN.
Edit: for those curious on the first
I thought Litwick's yellow eye was an open mouth, it had hair covering its eyes (akin to Ralt's helmet hair) and that its mouth was one of four arms, given I knew it evolves into a Chandelier.
Super Luck and Z-Tailwind guarantees critical hits, so there is no reason to run Night Slash. Use Sucker Punch instead. With Brave Bird and, in the future, Superpower.

'Scuse me someone else doin' the CSS math and I didn't notice it the first time??
Granted considering the leaks they could just do two characters and a DLC square but uh
Here I actually noticed it so hard I made a mockup a while back.
I might actually swap Wolf and Ice Climber's positions of likelihood just because 8 Player Smash had to alter models just to work on Wii U and the Switch doesn't guarantee enough of a boost to handle 16 models running around with full AI at once, although if they removed 8 Player Smash or the Switch did jump power sufficiently then it's not an issue.
Wolf is from a series they're more reluctant to support after a big failure, but he also doesn't have anything technically in the way of him being added. . .and someone at the Nintendo store in NYC cried in public when Wolf didn't win the Ballot, so if any of the employees passed that along to their superiors it might contribute.
At the end of the day, I think the Ballot's going to have some level of impact on the character selection. If there's only two characters, it could just be someone like Wolf and then it's called a day depending on how people voted. If there's a larger selection, I see the roster being a bit more. . . unpredictable.
You know, despite the setbacks, Salazzle is still a really cool Pokémon. I would still use it for Toxic punishments. Its Shiny variant is gorgeous too. Wouldn't mind hatching eggs for a Timid shiny female Salandit.
Of course my luck withstanding it'll be perfect IV shiny MALE. Guaranteed.
Reminds me of a Pokémon clone I've played (Crystal Monsters for DSiWare) that has an item that can instantly change the gender of the selected monster.
Doubt Game Freak will ever include such thing in Pokémon though.
I tried out Almost Any Ability. I built two teams, but only the first one was actually good.
I gave Volt Absorb to Drifblim for four immunities, but it didn't really do anything. I'm going to switch it with the other team's No Guard Genesect with Zap Cannon and Blizzard.

"Alright, I'm bored, let's draw an Inkling in a Santa hat. While I'm at it, I did post something to Miiverse a few days ago, so I guess I can see if that got any-"
Four Yeahs on the thing I just posted. Instantly.
I mean granted it came out a lot higher quality than the stuff I draw usually does, but GEE that was quick. Just some stock standard Merry Squidmas and *BOOP*

You should've done Splatfest drawings.
I drew a shoddily drawn penguin on purpose but the team spirit was so pumping for some folks I got ten plus yeahs
Waiiiiiit a second, it's Squidmas not Splatmas you heathens.
Why? Oh I'll tell you why.
1. Squidmas rhymes better with Christmas than Splatmas.
2. Squidmas is what the wiki says the localization used when supplying the holiday (No such holiday is given in the Japanese version, but seeing as that's because no counterpart holidays at all were clarified there and Christmas is basically Valentine's Day in Japan, level of importance included, and thus wouldn't get as much attention there, I figure it's worth rolling with until further notice).
3. As much as the culture revolves around splatting, I'd imagine it wouldn't be very desirable for gift giving and instead the Inkling's species-wide ego would take over. There's slightly more things that revolve around squid shapes than splats when you look around, even if they often go tentacle-in-tentacle.
I want a system like that too actually. Finally, I can take all those useless hatchlings and sacrifice them in favor of the chosen one.
But how could we implement that in Pokémon without it being literal sacrifice? I mean I could brainstorm some ideas but in the end, they're pretty questionable.
Like for instance, maybe there is a "Releasing Service" instead of the regular release system that, when you release a Pokémon, you get a Poké Candy used for making a Pokémon of its own kind stronger, such as leveling, etc..
