The wild Riolus are freaking jerks. I had a female pop up one time that used Final Gambit on me right away.
At least one summoned a Lucario once, though. That was nice. I kept fainting their summons on ones I encountered after that to try to roll a repeat but no luck yet.

I just encountered another one only for the same thing to happen.
Maybe if I have Deicdueye out it won't be able to use Final Gambit due to its immunity.
Of all the foods to keep in your beard, why one where you might accidentally grab your beard with your chopsticks instead of the food? Or like, get hair in it?
I mean granted I can think of plenty of worse foods as well, but why not, like M&M's or something? Or trail mix? Something dry and unlikely to get tangled in it? Heck, if you want to use chopsticks to eat something out of your beard, wouldn't a dumpling be cleaner?

I know they just remade the game for the 3DS, but this just reminded me how much I still want Majora's Mask HD. Too bad we can't switch masks on the Switch.
A movie would be the next best thing if Nintendo weren't so stuck up with their IPs.
...And that just reminded me, what ever happened to that Mario movie that was supposed to be a thing?

So I think the thing about Pokemon being unable to call for help if they have a status condition might be true. That or I was just really unlucky.
Had a freaking Magby call for help 6 times and only stopped once it was paralysed. Only problem was trying to paralyse it. Had to wait to switch to Raichu becasue of Fire Spin and then got abused by Smokescreen. It was only that I got hit by Clear Smog that I managed to land Thunder Wave.

A status condition indeed stops the calls for help; I ruined a Bagon chain by accident because I made my Incineroar use Lick to do small damage on the remaining one, it paralyzed and after stalling for 10 turns I gave up because it stopped calling.
So, how exactly can I dye my clothes red in Moon? I know it needs to be in the Festival Plaza but I only got the Yellow one in it and I have no idea how to get new facilities
Navigating Route 15 was pretty fun. Challengers were great, wild Pokemon here and there, you know the drill. There was a swimmer couple by the beach doing sit-ups. Not something you see everyday.
Route 16 didn't have much other than one trainer, some patches of grass, and a few items.
Route 17 is where things get interesting. The whole route is dominated by Team Skull Grunts since Po Town is just around the corner. The route also had the TM for Poison Jab. Finally, Lurantis got even more type coverage than it had prior. After fighting two Team Skull Grunts guarding the gate, an aged man with dark clothing arrives on the scene. He introduces himself as Nanu. He's skeptical of me going into Po Town at first, but he eventually believes in my potential. For a dude who looks rather bored, he does leave some memorable quotes.
Well then...
And now we've reached Po Town, or what I like to call it Attack on Titan town (come on, those high walls surrounding it make it the perfect nickname), the main headquarters of Team Skull
First thing I had to deal with was two Team Skull Grunts at one barricade. One was easy with an Alola Raticate, the other was frustrating with an Alola Muk that got some lucky poison has on Urlacher and continuous use of Minimize to increase evasiveness. Thank goodness I was allowed to use the Pokemon Center nearby.
After two Team Skull Grunts do their rap, I heal for the price of $10. It's worth mentioning these Grunts elaborate on the harsh lives of Team Skull and how they live on little money. The same can be said with the other grunts inside their main building. Even the music is a good reflection of that. It sounds dramatic in the beginning, but then the tone becomes sad and depressing for the second portion of the theme.
Some of the Team Skull Grunts also left some pretty memorable dialogue. One of them is waving to another Grunt outside, saying "Why does he keep staring at me? Does he see how hot I am or something?" There's also two female Grunts bickering over a tanktop uniform like your average teenagers.
Guzma was more of a challenge this time. Drill Peck didn't KO Golisopod from the get-go. I did get the OHKO on Ariados with Beak Blast though. I then tried to use Puka against Golisopod... but I completely forgot about First Impression. You can imagine what happened then. I had to switch into Azura just to restore Puka for a few turns. Once preparations were set, I switched into Mata Hari to take another Razor Shell, then respond back with Leaf Blade to finish the job.
Fun fact: After you defeat Guzma and he leaves, you can sit on his chair. Doing so brings a Team Skull Grunt into the room and freaks out over the fact you're sitting on the boss's chair. Luckily, the Grunt doesn't fight you, but it's an amusing scene overall.
Upon leaving, I run into Nanu again, and the encounter looks really cinematic. I mean...
That's a really nice shot!
Nanu notices that there are less Grunts inside Po Town because of Guzma's defeat there. Acerola catches up with us, and it's revealed that Nanu is her Uncle. Manu is also a police officer, hence why he was hanging around Po Town investigating Team Skull's whereabouts. We are then told to go back to the Aether House now that the Yangoose has been returned.
I took the time to visit the desert that led from Route 13. It's wide and vast, and there are many unpredictable rooms that it can be tough to navigate. In fact, it reminded my of Turnback Cave from D/P/P, because sometimes, when I kept taking the left path everytime, I'd end up in the same spot. Thankfully, I did find my way around, got a few items, and most importantly...
Shiny Trapinch! It was my first shiny encounter in Sun and Moon. I caught it with a Quick Ball.
Back at the Aether House, it's revealed that Lillie has been kidnapped by Team Skull, more specifically by Plumeria and a Grunt. Seems like Plumeria found out about Cosmog, and she got Lillie cornered. With no other choice left to do, Lillie decides to tag along with Plumeria and let herself be captured. Hau feels pretty guilty about not helping Lillie out of it. You can tell because he struggles to give a smile.
Gladion barges in and hears the news about Lillie and Cosmog. Enraged, he battles me. An easy battle overall. Selkie made quick work of the Golbat, while Urlacher tackled Sneasel and Type: Null with ease. Gladion then admits it was rather foolish to let his emotions gain the best of him and challenge me to a fight like that. He takes me back to Malie City where we will soon depart on a boat. That's when Officer Nanu arrives and reveals he's the Island Kahuna of Ula' Ula Island and challenges me to a duel.
Yeah, Nanu was easy. Not as easy as Hala, but still easy. Primarina took care of Sableye in two hits via Disarming Voice, while Mata Hari and Urlacher (with the help of All-Out Pummeling) OHKOd Krockorock and Alola Persian respectively. He then gifts me with the Darkium-Z and tells Gladion that he needs to realize Team Skull isn't going to make him stronger.
Manu does have a memorable smirk, and I love Gladion's reaction upon seeing Nanu enact the Dark-type Z move. It was funny!
Hau arrives and we take the boat to Aether Paradise, where Lillie has been taken. I fight through a bunch of Aether Foundation Employees and grab a few items until I reach the elevator. All three of us travel up and are confronted by Faba. Some great dialogue ensues between Faba and Gladion, where Gladion straight up roasts him. The battle with Faba was also pretty easy. Selkie had this one in the bag.
Fabs then helped us travel to the basement floors where the experiments were going on. It became clear that he sent us there so that he could buy some time to prepare more people to fight against us; the camera showed his villainous smirk as the elevator lowered down. At the basement, I had to fight three Aether Foundation Scientists, all of which were straightforward to handle (though they do look creepy with those helmets of their's, and even the background of the labs only heightened the creepy factor).
Gladion takes care of Secret Lab A, while Hau and I take care of Secret Lab B. If you talk to Gladion, he reveals that his mother was a highly controlling figure in his life: she made him wear what she wanted him to wear and act what she wanted him to act like. He connects this with Type: Null, who also was forced to do only a specific task by the scientists that created it. Interesting stuff...
After fighting the Aether Foundation Employees at Secret Lab B (featuring a Multi Battle where Hau and I used both of our Alola Raichus), we find some documents detailing Cosmog. Turns out Cosmog is an Ultra Beast who produces Ultra Wormholes whenever it feels stressed. The Aether Foundation wants to find a way to utilize these portals, so they have been creating a device that would put Cosmog into deep stress in order to achieve their goals. After talking with Gladion, we are allowed to explore Secret Lab A. This one detail Silvally's origins, and it's pretty interesting yet sad at the same time (especially when you view it from Gladion's perspective).
We arrive at the entrance and we are greeted by Wicke. Thankfully, she is on our side and heals our Pokemon. We then confront Faba and three Aether Foundation Employees, confirming the theory Gladion previously brought regarding why Faba sent the three down to the basement floors. I didn't have much trouble with these fights. Azura finally learned Moonblast while Urlacher finally learned Close Combat, all thanks to those battles. We break through the door and notice Team Skull is guarding the President's House. Gladion rushes to fight Guzma while I take care of two Grunts and then find some items on the sides of this wide platform we are on. It's also worth noting that Faba mentions he hates children when he watches up open the doors to the President's House.
Going back to Cosmog, Team Skull was after the little Pokemon, and now that we see Team Skull guarding the President's House, I think it's confirmed that Team Skull has been helping the Aether Foundation this whole time! One of the Grunts even reveals that the Aether President has been sponsoring them recently.
And with that, I'll stop there for tonight. My 3DS needs to recharge. Looking forward to seeing what's next though. This Aether Foundation raid has been really good, and I can only imagine it's going to get more intense pretty soon.
Also, I'll leave a short appreciation post for the Aether Foundation Employee theme. It sounds so good! Have a listen!
It captures the secret sinister vibe of the Aether Foundation really well.
Got Moon! Currently training Pancake Power to level 10, and jesus is Metronome ****ty so far. Only good move it used was Zing Zap
METRONOME GAVE ME TACKLE ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME
Man, Moon's great, having loads of fun
*Gastly uses Mean Look in a trainer battle and neither I not it can hit each otber until someone struggles*
Man, I wish I was playing ET for the Atari!

A status condition indeed stops the calls for help; I ruined a Bagon chain by accident because I made my Incineroar use Lick to do small damage on the remaining one, it paralyzed and after stalling for 10 turns I gave up because it stopped calling.
And this is the exact reason Litten has Lick. It's perfect for catching Pokemon. I don't have enough Trials beaten, otherwise I'd depend on Munchlax. He'll level up too high eventually and won't listen, so...
That said, got two Meowth. Technician is going to be my battle-based one, and Pickup is for actual training to get random useful items for cash/etc. In order, both females are named Leopardy and Princess.
I surprisedly have yet to see a Shiny. Huh. It's not programmed to happen after you start a certain event first, is it?
Team:
Coo the Decidueye
Pancakes the Raichu
Mr. Krabs the Crabominable
Spot the Lycanroc
Vastra the Salazzle
Greg the Golisopod
After a short grinding session, I battled the Elite Four. And boy oh boy, were they tough.
First was Hala, who definetly toughened up since out first battle; His Primeape and Hariyama went down pretty easily, but then came Bewear, who survived a Psychic to the face and killed Pancakes with Brutal Swing (That's the result of me forgetting to heal her after she was damaged) It also KO'd some of my other Team Members and ate physical attacks for lunch, until Vastra eventually killed it. That was really the only threat in his team; Vastra OHKO'd Crabominable with Flamethrower and Poliwrath was handled by Coo's Bloom Doom.
Next was Olivia, who wasn't as difficult but she was still no Pushover. Relicanth was easily killed by Coo pretty quickly thanks to its quad weakness to Leaf Blade, Carbink took a bit longer to kill but wasn't really that big of a deal, Lycanroc was a ****ing joke yet again (#MiddayMasterRace) and Probopass and Golem were both Handled by Mr. Krabs. Her Pokemon did do some heavy damage to my team though. Also, why did she remove Boldore but kept Probopass?
Acerola was probably the hardest of the bunch. Sabeleye Faked Spot out and thanks to bad RNG, Rock Slide missed and I got confused. I did eventually kill it, but it was pretty frustrating regardless. Next was Dhelmise, whose fight I don't quite remember; I believe it was eventually killed by Vastra. Palossand was the one I was the most worried about, but my fears didn't come true as it got OHKO'd by Bloom Doom thanks to Coo. Froslass was killed by Spot and Drfiblim was handled by both Greg's Sucker Punch (Though it only worked once as it kept spamming Amnesia) and Mr. Krabs' Ice Punch.
Last was Kahilli, whose entire team was handled by Pancakes, Spot and Mr. Krabs. Though I do remember her Toucanon being quite tough as it burned Pancakes once after she Nuzzled him, and it did some heavy damage to her with Beak Blast. Skarmory's Spikes were also quite annoying.
Afterwards, I battled Kukui, the "Champion" (He is more of a final test than a Champion as there wasn't a League Champion before that) of the Alola Pokemon League. And my god... This guy gives Cynthia a run for her money in terms of difficulty.
First was Lycanroc, who did some heavy damage to Coo with Crunch but fell to a Leaf Blade.
Next was Braviary, who was handled by Pancakes, but did set up a Whirlwind which caused me some trouble later on.
Snorlax outsped Mr. Krabs thanks to Whirlwind but was OHKO'd with Close Combat.
His Incineroar was absolutely ripped though. It opened with Inferno Overdrive, which caused Greg's Imergency Exit to activate, and did literally knocked out Spot in one hit with Cross Chop. I defeated it eventually, though, as it was trapped in an Outrage, amd Mr. Krabs then killed it with a Fighting type move.
Ninetales was kind of hard but not too big of a deal.
Last but not least was Magnezone, who almost swept my team with Thunderbolt, but Vastra handled it pretty easily. And so, I became the champion of the Alola Pokemon League!
I won't go into detail with the cutscenes as there's too many things happened in them, but I will say that I succesfully caught Tapu Koko.
Also, I nearly cried when Lillie left to Kanto... She's truly one of my favorite characters in the series.
After the credits rolled, I went to meet with Looker and Anabel, and battled Anabel... I won't go into detail with how the battle went but she was a tough opponent.
I've noticed that Serebii hasn't listed Kelpsy Berry as an obtainable Berry in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Please tell me this is a typo. The other berries of its kind are in Sun and Moon, and I'm going to need it for planting.
Hopefully I'll be able to buy Moon soon. From what I've heard Gen 7 executes a lot of fresh ideas VERY nicely, but at the same time I have a lot of games on my buy list, so I have quite the dilemma lol.
Oh so the "hair" on Alolan Geodude is actually iron sand, so it's a magnetic rock, that's actually pretty cool. I mean, we've had magnet Pokemon before but not actual pure magnets
Also
Geodude confirmed Sheer Heart Attack
Geodude has no weaknesses!
Crabominable's artwork looks ****ing silly and
This is my new favorite dex entry
And finally, Araquanid is the protector of cinnamon rolls
