Allow me to pose a train of thought for all of you in an attempt to see if there are any hilarious responses to be gathered off of this.

Let's say that every video game character people ask to have in Smash gathers at a testing location to see who would be the best fit for the next Smash. Some sit in waiting rooms or lobbies, others loiter around outside. At random intervals groups of two to eight individuals are chosen for test matches in prospective stages which are also being tested. If something involving what a character is or is capable of causes problems it's generally fixed eventually, but the employees at this facility are kind of dim so any issues usually slip through the cracks until if and when it starts causing major issues across the facility.

What do you expect to go wrong here?

There would be no contestants.

They would all kill each other.

Okay I know I'm late to this but it seems Porygon Z got a massive boon this generation.

With the addition of Z-Status, many moves have become very effective, such as Parting Shot, Destiny Bond, and even Splash. But above the rest has got to be Conversion. Using Z-Conversion, Porygon Z gains a 1+ buff to every stat AND changes its type depending on the move on the first silt of the move set. For example, if Shadow Ball is on the top of Porygon Z's moveset, it'll change into a Ghost-Type, gaining Ghost STAB and the typings pros/cons.

I love Porygon Z. So as soon as I learned this, I had to see if it could be obtained right now. Fortunantly it can be. So I'm definently going to go grab it and train it up.

And let's not forget Adaptability
+1 on every stat and a 2× STAB is sure to hurt

Shrek.

I expect Shrek to go wrong.
A sound of thundering footsteps can be heard outside.

"Who is that?" Asks someone sitting in one of the chairs of the application room.

Suddenly the air smells strongly of swamp, and Smash Mouth can be heard in the distance.

"Oh no." Said Knuckles as he dropped the pencil he was using to write his application.

Suddenly the wall behind him burst open with a "SOME-BODY ONCE TOLD ME" and Knuckles flew across the room.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING IN MY SWAMP?!" Roared Shrek as he appeared from the other side of an ogre shaped hole in the wall. He walked up to the counter where applications are obtained. A Sandbag in a tie sweated nervously as Shrek stood in front of him.

"Playtime is ogre." Shrek said, and the Sandbag handed him an application.

Shrek pulled up a chair and sat down to sign his application as everyone else in the room stared and edged away from him.

"Well you know what they say. Shrek is love, Shrek is life." Said a booming voice outside.

There would be no contestants.

They would all kill each other.
Let's say everyone gets revived after fights and/or when something horrible happens, so that nobody technically stays dead but hilarity ensues.

This... This is tempting.

Anyone play the game? Mind telling me how good it is?

I loved the Story games for DS, but console turn based RPGs are not my thing, BUT I'm willing to make an exception for Digimon.

Someone mentioned not liking the Sun and Moon anime's art style and I just want to point out that I think it looks like a Family Guy parody of Pokemon.
Good one. This definitely gave me my laugh for the day.

But can it compare to the ugliness that is Be Cool, Scooby Doo? :troll:

How is Batman Telltale series? It's on Xbone's Black Friday sale for $16.74 (complete version).

FYI, it would be my first Telltale game if I buy it.

I'd imagine any characters from overly different universes would get culture shock.

Just the leaps necessary to go from The Legend of Zelda to Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. to Pilotwings to Metroid as far as technology is concerned is tremendous.

Conversely.

Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem

and

Starfox, F-Zero and Metroid might get along well.

I'm going to use a Turtonator in Moon

I skipped the area he was in, in Sun, so I'm going to transfer it to moon and use it in there

Then there'd be those handful of characters that just aren't fazed by anything because their universes are already insane sitting in a corner sipping coffee while everyone else flips out.

Like, 90% would be completely freaked out at all the different tech levels and bizarre borderline eldritch monsters and then you just have that one guy sitting in a corner shrugging and going, "Well, this had to happen eventually."

That sounds like the greatest fanfiction ever, and i love it. 10/10, extra points awarded for doing a Kool Aid entrance with the somebody once told me.

Nah, one of the Zelda characters would complain about how many Fire Emblem characters are present in comparison to their own series, and I don't see it ending well.

It's gonna be a bit rough. It's got a lot of weeak sidequests that are meant to be your big thing for leveling.
The translation isn't even complete.
Characters are fairly cliche.
But it's totally worth $24. I'd price it around $30 for a digifan.

I was playing around with Z-Status when I came accross the fact Wailord gets Splash. So I looked into what its got and I made a moveset based on my findings. It changes nothing regarding Wailord's potential but its a fun build nonetheless.

Zplash Sweeper
Wailord@Normalium-Z
Nature: Adamant/Brave
Ability: Water Veil
EVs: TBD
Moveset: Waterfall, Heavy Slam, Earthquake/Zen Headbutt, Splash

So, there's a few perks here. With Water Veil, Wailord cannot be burned, meaning Wailord's Attack won't be disrupted. Its nature depends on whether you use Trick Room or not. The EVs are to be determined, but honestly, I'd go for 252 HP/Attack. After Splash, Wailord gets 3+ to Attack and it can deal massive damage with Waterfall. Its an insanely heavy Pokémon, so Heavy Slam is a great option for versing Fairies. Last Attack for additional coverage.

Again, just a moveset I made for funsies. Nothing more. Figured I'd share.
