Defeated Totem Mimikyu, and... That was the easiest Trial thus far to be honest.
It went like this:
>I break its disguise after it uses a non damaging move
>It nearly kills me but I survive
>"Coo used Sinister Arrow Raid!"
>"Totem Mimikyu fainted"
Its ally Haunter put Coo to sleep but he got over that using the power of friendship (Literally) and OHKO'd it with Spirit Shackle.

I killed Mimikyu easily but haunter kept putting my pokemon to sleep and friendship didn't wake them up

So, for me it wasn't hard but annoying

Spoiler: Technically SM spoilers

Turns out you can actually fight evedy Trial Captain after you clear their trial and defeat the respective island's Kahuna
Though Kiawe is Sun exclusive and Mallow is Moon exclusive

I did all the ones up until Akala Island in Moon and after the battle Mallow mentions that they have to stop being Captains after 20
Kind of a little but neat detail to put as it explains why there are so many ex-captains and why all of the current ones are so young

Stop saying "companies", because not all companies think like this. Nintendo is one of the very few game companies who still do, actually.

While I agreed with your posts on that page generally, and think there is no argument justifying Nintendo (aside from their arbitrary legal rights), a better way to say these sorts of things so that people don't get on each-other's backs, and to enhance our own arguments, would be to say "Not all companies think like this," instead of using language which implies force. I understand you're not using force, but some don't, and view it as an emotional assault.

Rain Dance doesn't have "Dance" in its japanese name(it's also why it can't be copied by Dancer outside of other reasons)
Why would Vikavolt learn Sticky Web? It's not a spider, what's really stupid is it not learning the two switch moves which are both STAB for it
And Oricorio not getting any primary STAB outside of Revelation Dance and not getting Quiver Dance or any actually useful Dance move like Petal Dance or Fiery Dance
Like, yeah, that Atk stat is really gonna benefit from Swords Dance

It has Volt Switch. Sucks that it can't learn Rain Dance regardless, Hurricane would have been helped.

Also, anyone know where to find Pikachu?

My friends and I were talking potential teams in SuMo over some dinner. One of them brought up a unique pair that I'm working on getting now too because I love the potential in it: Torkoal and Minior.

Torkoal got an awesome ability in Drought this gen, which means it can set up Sun for its team. It can also Spin hazards away and tough out more damage then Ninetales. There's not much to say here- Torkoal is just a sun setter. But Minior is where it gets interesting.

Minior is probably one of the best Pokémon of the generation. The combination of Shields Down and Shell Smash makes Minior transform into a quick and powerful nuke. Holding a White Herb to remove the lowered defenses from Shell Smash allows us to have some form of bulk, despite being low, after Shields Down, but the real trick here is getting Acrobatics to work, which also happens to be a STAB, meaning once you use Shell Smash and activate Shields down, this attack will hit blisteringly hard. Next to that is Power Gem, which is boosted by Shell Smash plus is a dependable STAB that will wreck anyone weak to Rock. But now we get to the tide turner: Solarbeam. Why Solarbeam? Well, one of Minior's biggest checks happens to be Quagsire- who with Unaware doesn't care about Shell Smash. Sun also weakens Water-Type attacks so Minior won't die as quickly. Finally, Solarbeam has great coverage that Rock/Flying does not have, including Water, Ground and Rock. Solarbeam is a heavy hitting attack that after Shell Smash will deal massive damage.

Torkoal and Minior also have a decent Core. Torkoal can switch out to Minior to block Ground attacks, and Minior can switch out to resist Ice. Torkoal's ability to Spin makes it even more invaluable as Minior does have a weakness in Rock- meaning Stealth Rocks will deal more damage to it.

In the end, I love the potential of these two, and am working on obtaining them. I'm also gonna look up who works well with this Sun team later once I do so. If this team is fully built, I may open up to challenges. Anyways, time to go catch some Pokémon.

Oranguru will be used incredibly often in Doubles/VGC. Instruct, man.

Dhelmise is slated to be a really good Pokémon over all. Rapid Spinner/Spin Blocker/Massive attack/three STABs/signature move that traps/Good coverage/Great defense/great special defense when equipped with an Assault Vest. Its speed sucks, yeah, but it has everything else so you don't need it.

Talonflame is still pretty useful despite the nerf according to most, but it might not be OU anymore. Same with Gengar.

Tapus will be all over VGC and the metagame at large.

So will Ultra Beasts. Pheromosa and Xurkitree especially. They'll be banned to Ubers on Smogon no doubt, but they're VGC legal.

Drizzle will make Pelipper of all things used more often.

Minior is a fantastic Shell Smash sweeper.

I've also heard good things about Mudsdale.



That's the short list, basically. Things to keep an eye out for.
