I feel like I'm gonna stick with Crabrawler, I really like Fighting types and he has proven useful with Hyper Cutter against Growl spammers and Intimidate users

I defeated Hala earlier, and caught myself a Rockruff
Now it's time to level him and some other Team members so that they'll be on par with my Dartrix

Beat Hala yesterday, and beat Lana's trial today. Hala wasn't that hard, but I do have to appreciate one thing: he actually had smart AI, switching into a Pursuit spamming Crabrawler onto my Gastly. Shame none of the other NPCs have had that so far. Lana's trial was easy. Magnemite took care of the whole battle. I swear it's like BW2 all over again.
Anyways, most of my final team is already here. And guess what? Since Tsareena is a female exclusive Pokémon, my team will only have one male on the team (that being the Eevee).
Side note: Brionne and Charjabug are awesome. Also, Roggenrolla is actually growing on me. Like a lot.

Has anyone here been able to download the game on a standard 3DS(not XL)? And if so, what's the size of your SD card? I'm asking because my brother only has the normal 3DS so we'd like to make sure it works before adding credits to the EShop

There's a secret area in Melemele Meadow, in the southwestern part of the are there'll be a path where you can press A to enter it
I'm still exploring it but I saw on Smogon that the Yellow Nectar is here

I just found out that Oricorio gives a **** ton of expirience, at least in this point in the game, which makes sense, as it's a fully evolved Pokemon.
Too bad my Crabrawler can't fight it, though.

Dunno if this has been mentioned but Pikachu can now be tutored Volt Tackle by the same person who gives you the Pikachu Crystal.

That's really useful. Dunno if it's a one-time deal but my Pikachu is rocking VT now.

Just beat Hala

First things first, I battled Hau outside Melemele Meadow, his Pichu is evolved now but he still has only 2 Pokemon

I like how there are trainers that'll only battle you after beating the rest of the ones in the route, especially since they not only use a "special"(as in, Battle Facilities items) item but they also give that item to you after battle. Gonna try to save them for postgame

Hala himself was easy with Oricorio OHKOing Mankey and Trunbeak 2HKOing Makuhita. Didn't expect his Crabrawler to pull a freaking Z-Move(loved the Fighting Z-Move btw) though, it even CRITTED my Brionne but luckily he survived and two Disarming Voices and an Aqua Jet were all I needed to take it down.
He might not have been that tough but at least there was build up and characterization for Hala and that's what I really like about SM: there are characters.
Just with the first island I have loved all of its main characters and I like when I see one of them unlike in XY where half of the time I was like "no, not you again!"

There's a story being told, a story about a kid growing up through the region's rite of passage and much more later on and I love these moments that are shown to be part of Alola's traditions like the trials itself and how the Hakuna is presented.

This is shaping up to be my favorite generation and region and I hope it doesn't disappoint me in that regard


And another thing I love that they brought back: optional areas.
The secret area in Melemele Meadow and Ten Carat Hill can both be completely ignored and that's what I like about them.
XY had almost nothing of that with its linearity(there's like, one water route and a waterfall section)
Backtracking is something I always liked in Pokemon when you were doing it to access previously unaccessible areas with new tools and I'm glad they brought it back.

T'ai Fu and Skoll are likely permanent members while Trumbeak and Rattata are stand-ins for now...Magnemite's here for it's Thunder Wave for catchning and Kadabra was supposed to be for Teleport but I guess that doesn't work in this Gen...
I'm on Akala island right now so I should be getting a Salandit soon methinks...
I know I won't be getting Vulpix or Jangmo-o for a while...and I'm unsure where to find Wimpod just yet, but we'll figure it out as we go...

Just got through Kaiwe's trial. I was expecting something more difficult, but instead it was mostly "point out the obvious". The battle though... was actually something else. Even with Brionne I feel like I only got through that just because of luck. Much harder fight than the last two.
Also, I'd like some help to evolve my Haunter. I'd much appreciate it.

I caught a Pangoro literally on the other route adjacent to the city we're extremely close to. They're here too, buddy. The fact that they live in Kalos is not worth mentioning unless you want to point out that they also live there.

Finally watched the new Generations episode

Unova hype and proving why it's best region
They got one of the most memorable BW moments and turned it into the best PG episode so far
Oh and when those BW music started playing, hmmmmm, ****ing love the Plasma Battle Theme and especially the Gym Leader's Final Stand which I still to this day have no idea why they removed it. You know **** got serious when that theme starts playing

And I love how everyone just brings in their signature Pokemon but Brycen just says **** it and goes all karate on the grunts

Exactly...not as useful as Fly...but it was a good way to bypass backtracking or escape to a pokemon center while grinding...

So I kept an Abra on my team and then when I needed it I noticed it wasn't available anymore...
