I don't think Nintendo would ever release a remake/port without some kind of additional content. That doesn't seem to be their bag.
SF643D added an easy mode (which was completely unnecessary with continues on every difficulty), a mode to play unlocked levels individually, a revamped battle mode... And that's it. Besides the battle mode (a gimmick you'll play three times at best) there's not anything you could call strictly new content.
OoT3D has Mirror Master Quest, which is pretty worthwhile because getting a GCMQ disk is basically impossible. If you have it though, the mirroring is pretty minor and the double damage... lol.
The MM and WW remakes/ports/whatever only polished the gameplay up. TPHD added a rather pointless and unfun battle challenge...
Woolly World 3D has the Poochy amiibo levels... And that's it.
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash wasn't exactly a port... But it had basically no content and I believe to the day doesn't have friend matches even.
SMM3D has built in levels... And removes online sharing and amiibo costumes for whatever reason.
Let's go back to the good ol' days when Nintendo wouldn't do something like this or mess up the physics... Oh, wait. All Stars exists.
Yeah, Nintendo would totally do this.
Yeah.
It would be.
CONSIDERING THERE WAS CODING FOR IT!
They just used the Inkling skeleton as a shortcut... Doubt they were ever supposed to be playable.
