A note on my 4th HeartGold update; I've decided to not reroll for Togepi and just box him. I did hatch him early for Everstone though. I also forgot that I need two HMons; Wooper and a Pokémon who can fly and use HM moves Wooper can't.

Dragon Quest VII talk

I was at this town (in the past) that involved me helping these people from killer robots.

Eventually you have to get help from some mechanic but he refuses while he's still building some robot helper. As it turns out his robot helper is modeled after his daughter who passed away in some accident long ago. Eventually he (and his robo daughter) does help us out.

Then when you check out the castle and town back in the present (not sure how many years, they never specify) you find out that the robot lived while her father/master passed away due to old age, but she doesn't realize he's dead and instead has been trying to give him (his bones) food because she thinks he's just sick.

The father outlived his daughter and now the daughter outlived the father.

I didn't expect this game to give me the feels so early on.

Just got back from Dr Strange

Probably my favourite film of the year. Plenty of quips (some are better than others), all characters (even Kaecilious) were enjoyable and the visual effects were amazing. Story isn't that bad either.

Peliper man is a Kahuna.
But Mudsdale girl... I odn't see her being a kahuna. Only because Olivia was noted for being particularly young for being a kahuna.
That seeems a little overshadowed if a 10 year old is also one.
I think she might, instead, be tied to PokeRide as a function.

Imo, still not as hot as the Ace Trainers from Oras (which iirc are the hottest npcs in all the games not counting your rivals, friends, gym leaders and such), but still alright.

As someone who has to wait a few more weeks to see it, I do have a couple of questions.

So I've been mainly staying spoiler free, but someone left an unmarked spoiler for several things elsewhere the other day (the post credit scenes, Ancient One dying, Dormammu). Luckily, they were pretty easy to see coming. The Thor set photo with the Sanctum address spoiled one credit scene, and Mordo turning and Ancient One dying are kind of par the course for Strange (Mordo turning into his archenemy and Ancient One dying so Strange can become Sorcerer Supreme, that kinda thing).

That being said, I have a few questions.


- Was Dormammu physically shown or just name dropped?
- Was the "Lego Leak" legit? Was it Shuma Gorath or a different beast?
- Did Strange announce his spells by name, and if so, which ones?

Just my own curiosity.

1. He's first seen as glimpses when Ancient One does the whole Dimension Trip thing (amazing sequence) then in the third act he's just a giant head (played by Cumberbatch too apparently). Wise choice considering they can easily use him in future films in place of Thanos and giving him a body later on can be that "Oh ****!" moment like when Thanos says "I'll do it myself"

2. Didn't notice any tentacles, I think that's just a case of LEGO having some free reign.

3. Didn't announce any by name, it's all hand gestures.
