Honestly speaking, considering the only reason we're really discussing either of them is because of their huge ballot demand in the west, I think the only chance either of them have is if Sakurai somehow specifically looking for popular indie "reps" in which case, they are the standout characters in terms of Smash popularity.

I mean, I've been saying from the beginning that we're not getting any indies in Smash, but people seem to think otherwise. Although, we haven't had an American character in Smash yet so I mean... if Sakurai wants the DLC to be represented of regions, that's the only way I'd see one of them getting in.

I think the amount of Nintendo characters is fine as it is. Just enough to not over-saturate, and the right choices to keep with the style. Maybe they'll add more later on, but it's fine as it is.

I may be in the minority on this, but I don't mind Sonic not being in. If it means being able to finally give the rest of Sega's line-up some breathing room (because Lord knows Sega isn't using them for anything else).

I have to say, I disagree, we have bearly anything Nintendo in the game, I think that they should just put Kid Icarus in the game, and flesh out Nintendo's franchises (SHULK) and then we'll be fine.

And also one of Sega's most used. It's not that big of a loss if he misses one game. Besides, he's already in a major crossover game. So it's not like he's missing out.

While I agree that this fact makes is likely that we will see the remaining character bundled with stages, I don't think it really effects vets all that much.

Wolf being bundled with a Star Fox Zero stage almost makes too much sense. Snake and Ice Climbers would also undoubtedly come with stages. Not saying that any of these character will make it in, just that they make sense to come with stages.

Well this is a big crossover, so there you go about Sonic.

Think of it this way, Nintendo is more like a new challenger, not a third-party, so they deserve to make a name for themselves, add at least one more franchise, and flesh them out (SHULK).

No... They're third party. The game is still Sega X Capcom X Namco as a whole. Nintendo is simply the seasoning.

Then we got Project X Zone and got SEGA,
And now we have Project X Zone 2 and got Nintendo.

No. Because unless I missed the memo it's still overall Sega X Capcom X Namco. Kinda like how Smash Bros has reps from Namco, Capcom, and Sega, but is still considered a "Nintendo fighter".

Each installment adds a new company, first was CAPCOM, second was SEGA, and now we have Nintendo, now do you get it?

There were a bunch of Sega characters added and the game was turned into a NamcoXCapcomXSega crossover
Now there are three Nintendo characters and the game is not being advertised as a NamcoXCapcomXSega
