I remember one of the AC games didn't have a ****ty love sub plot.

it's been a long as **** time since i've played Uncharted and I still haven't played 3 but i'm pretty sure that one was pretty good too.

Oh yeah, I know that. I even have a blue jacket to wear if I wanted to. However, I felt like doing the black jacket since I like it a bit more. Makes it a bit more sp00py man. I'm also really considering carrying a basket ball and just saying "Geeeeeeet dunked on!"

Also, while I haven't played them, the Uncharted games looks pretty fun. My dad owns all of them, so I might give them shot. I remember at E3 when the demo had reset when they showed it off lol.

Was there ever a good love story or romantic subplot in a video game?

Because the games I always play and see, the way they handle romances are awful, cringe worthy or doesn't make sense when it's a giant focus in the game's story

Xenoblade Chronicles did a pretty good job with the way they handled romance and stuff like that.

Other than that I can't think of anything else...

Shovel knight is one of my favorite games of all time.But i do think people overhype the game to a bit and some levels just drag at points.Still an amazing game but TheAnvil is entitled to his opinion so let up a bit

The game never dwelled on the love part too much. You could super obviously tell that there were a couple of ships sailing, but even when it was a plot catalyst it didn't really feel like it was derailing or forcing the plot.

Shulk giving Fiora water by mouth was more heartfelt and believable than most live action kisses, TBH.

tbqh the gameplay of all the shantae games feels like a drag to me
maybe 4 will be better because the metroidvania style gels really badly with the actual movement options and speed

Im joking. I just really like Melia. I don't really ship anything in games. I think I had like one or two crack ships o something at one point though. . . I love Xenoblade too much to say it has flaws.

Being in different genres doesn't mean that one game can't be more engaging or compelling than another. Final Fantasy 7 can't be compared to Bubsy the Bobcat as far as head to head value, but I can certainly say that I find one more engrossing that the other and have that be a perfectly valid observation. Especially because, at the end of the day, it's an entirely subjective and personal point.

I just saw Goosebumps, I was pleasantly surprised, it was really fun. Though the humor was not it's strong point, despite a few good jokes, and the CG was pretty poor, but there was a surprising amount of practical effects. It's honestly what Pixels should have been.
