Well, since you and @KenboCalrissian make me realize that the lovely sword isn't that lovely, I will switch to Hawlucha : a flying luchador that I'm sure it could be an amazing companion.
Knowing the Internet, I don't.
Headcanon time: When using Fly to travel, Hawlucha suplexes it's trainer!
But you have dumb kids around, and then you get sued when one of them inevitably grabs one of those big fluffy tails.
And that's when these kids disappear into a world filled with only pokemon. So they can't sue me!

I find it funny that the project doesn't even have any money yet lol.
While a kickstarter is laughable, Mega Man actually would make a really neat Metroid style game. I know the samus==mega man jokes are too easy but the potential for all types of moves and puzzles is there.
I remember this. It has been in development for a while now. It's weird that they decided to open a kickstarter a year before release. Are they even allowed to do that? I'm pretty sure Capcom can sue now that they're asking for money.

The Zero/ZX games are sort of like Metroidvanias. Although I'm that type of guy who wouldn't recommend the ZX because I believe it's not a good game.
At least the scammers didn't use Indiegogo, when the 30 days pass, you keep the money on Indiegogo, but Kickstarter gives the money back
The first MM Zero was a Metroidvania, but the later games got away from that. Yeah, ZX would have been a better example.
