I was talking about Neo and the ESRB final four thing.
.........Oh.
Well, if that's the case, no, I don't recall Neo himself leaking anything. The Ninka and 4chan leaks were already out there. He just put them together and got it publicity. Even then, half the leak was wrong. The only info I remember him breaking was the "ESRB leak isn't the final roster" part of it, and that ended up being 100% incorrect.
I never once said, the leak was wrong LETS STILL BELIEVE IT.
I said we should still give the source some benefit of the doubt.
I guess it was awkwardly phrased but still...
I know what you said.
I'm saying there is no reason to give the source the benefit of the doubt. They were wrong about everything. There was no Splatoon Direct. There was no Inkling trailer. There was no Shovel Knight trailer.
If 100% of the info they gave is wrong, there is no reason to think that anything they say in the future could be true. We were never given a reason as to why they were trustworthy in the first place other than a couple people here who are "IN DA KNOW" saying they believe it.
The people "in the know" backed the info that ended up being wrong. So, as far as I'm concerned, their judgment of what's real and what's fake has lost a bit of credibility.
Okay.
Burb.
You know how Shovel Knight got approved by Push and Neo? They matched tidbits of info to see if things checked out with Tama. Things entirely unrelated to Smash and I'm guessing sometimes even Nintendo.
What's your point?
Tama was wrong and so was RogersBase. It doesn't matter if they think the sources "checked out".
It was all incorrect info.
Remember Neo said he knew Majora's Mask 3D existed for months before it was announced and that they were just waiting for a time to release it.
I don't remember that, and even if it was said, I'm not quite sure I buy it. It wasn't the hardest game to predict, considering we got OOT 3D years ago. It was more of a given than anything.
Neo's been fooled in the past, and there's no reason to think that he's completely immune to that now.
He learned this is his Smash leaking squard because the people who leak Smash news and other news are exactly the same group of people.
And given that they just backed a fake leak, the "news group" isn't completely accurate in their deductions, either.
If Roger's source really did know about the HGSS stuff as Roger said, then we should at least listen to him.
This is all I'm saying.
Once again, we still have no reason to believe him.
You couldn't give me a good answer weeks ago as to why we should trust RogersBase in the first place. You just told me to look him up on Youtube, and all I saw was a ballot winner prediction video and One Piece manga audiobooks.
Telling us he predicted a game that's been out for close to a year without any evidence of it isn't proof. It's not a hard claim to make. We're long past the point of "just trust them".
It's not, really.
You're coming across more as saying "This doesn't hurt their credibility, and we should trust them in the future". I don't see you saying we should put them under scrutiny or lose any faith in them whatsoever. Everything you've said thus far 100% in their favor.
