I think it's more the fact it's so recent. I really have no history with Cave Story but I bet in a year or two very few people will be talking about Undertale. It's almost certainly a fad game. People still talk about Cave Story.

An amusing oversight: you know that when you use a taunt as Little Mac, Doc Louis can sometimes say an encouraging line, right?

Amusingly, when Little Mac is tiny or giant, Doc's voice will also be higher or lower pitched in accordance, even though it makes no sense. Though when he's metallic, Doc's voice can still be heard.

It seems they forgot to program the game to not apply the pitch changes to Doc Louis's voice.

I was completely fine with Bowser Jr., then Sticker Star turned me against him

You only see him 3 times in the main story, and they're all boss fights, the second encounter was just so annoying. To me he didn't really feel like a necessary edition to the game, now if he had a bigger story role things would've been different.

Luckily the Koopalings helped get me to like Jr. again.

....tbh, given how the game went, idk why not liking jr just for that.

by the end it's pretty unlikely you'll want to do it at all

We often get games before NA as we fall in the Europe bracket.

NO DONT GO GENOCIDE

you will absolutely ruin the game for yourself. I highly suggest true pacifist first time. You can't get the best ending first playthrough but if you load a file after beating the game once you can. Don't need to do 3 separate playthroughs.

But don't do genocide first. Don't it ruins the game.

I do think it's rather odd Paper Jam is releasing literally everywhere during the holidays except here (as far as we know).

At least with Yoshi it made sense because there's like nothing for the holidays.
