Majora's Mask? That's pure evil. The mask just wants to kill everything. It's more evil than Ganondorf IMO. Ganondorf wants to rule the world, but Majora wants the whole world destroyed.

Ganondorf is an evil tyrant and commits many atrocities, but he actually has some redeemable points, as explained in Wind Waker. He wanted a better life for his people, but lost control over his lust of power and was doomed to be bound to Demise's curse.

Majora is insanity incarnate. It just wants to destroy the world for whatever reason that we can't understand. His morality is twisted and alien to us. Note how the Majora kid inside the moon says he wants to play "the good guy" with Link as "the bad guy". Not to mention he gives Link the Fierce Deity Mask, despite it granting Link god-like powers that may potentially kill him.

I'm willing to bet it's the characters that were leaked beforehand.

Seems to be more than the three that have been leaked a while ago (Estelle, Ryo and Ingrid).

At the very least, we'll be seeing new enemy characters.

So for those of you who want Ninten in Smash, I've got bad news. In an interview with Famitsu, Earthbound creator Shigasato Itoi confirmed that Ninten and Ness are the same character, sort of. He confirmed that they were designed identically because it's the player who decides if they're either the same character, or a different one. Personally I don't believe they're the same character, however I think Ness may be an incarnation of Ninten. Before anyone says that Ninten has a different design from Ness, he doesn't, it's simply an artist's rendering. Their design is truly identical.This also means there's no need for a Ninten alt. for Ness.

Not really.

Neither character does anything remotely like any Mii Fighters moveset.

It'd be a terrible way to represent them and you only say it's a fine way to represent them, because they're indie and that somehow makes them lesser beings.

To be fair, K. Rool isn't exactly known for being a brawler, so I don't see why we can't have a Shantae Mii costume and a Shovel Knight Mii costume. Make perfect sense to me in that regard.

As for the second point, considering their obscurity and relatively lack of importance to video gaming in general as third-party candidates compared to the third-party characters we have had throughout Smash history, yeah, I'd say the representation of them via Mii costumes is most appropriate.

And only Sakurai will known if he's willing to do that for SK and Shantae. And honestly considering how little he's said about third parties? It's kind of funny to be saying he's got a set of rules for them in the first place.

If Sakurai feels Smash will benefit from adding someone, no matter who they are? He's going to ****ing do it. No matter what he said a year, two years, three years ago or yesterday. People change their minds. Especially creative types.
