The car ride is less expensive but damn it's uncomfortable as hell

Car Rides=Short trips around the stage or to Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas

Plane rides=Long trips outside the state

Also, screw Cruises. They aren't fun when you're stuck on the ship for days on end but only get to stay on land for like 9 hours

Yep.

This game already did some progress with the third part of the Paper Mario stage being Bowser's Castle and Mushroom Kingdom U having a fortress as one of its parts.

Gerudo Valley is also heavily related to Ganondorf (you even unlock him in this stage, unlike previous Smash games where he was unlocked on Final Destination). And you had Venom, Andross's lair, in Melee. You could also count Norfair as Ridley's lair.

Of course, there are also options like the Underworld from Kid Icarus, Ganon's Castle or Gangplank Galleon from DKC.

Not because I particularly (you're pretty alright though) like you or anything, but because it means I get to see that glorious signature I made for you.

I still think my idea for a Voyage of Time stage is really good.

I figured someone would inquiry so I had time for a response, but here goes...
- This stage transitions between a room from each of Ocarina of Time's six temples - Temple of Time, Forest Temple, Fire Temple, Water Temple, Shadow Temple, and Spirit Temple.
There's about 20 seconds between a transition, and whenever the stage is about to change, the Ocarina warp song for the upcoming location will play.

My ideas for the actual rooms:
- Temple of Time: What else? The main hall.
- Forest Temple: Phantom Ganon's boss arena.
- Fire Temple: One of the large rooms with bridges and lots of lava.
- Water Temple: Dark Link's boss arena.
- Shadow Temple: The Ghost Ship.
- Spirit Temple: The room with the large statue, her hands serving as platforms along with the chained platform in the middle.

Interesting, I really enjoy that idea. I always wondered what a good Ocarina of Time stage would entail, but this seems to cover the best aspects of each dungeon. Although, personally, I would prefer that the stage was kept more consistent. I would probably just use the environments outside of each dungeon instead (around each warp point). Your idea is better, but at the same time, it is a little bit more busy and I do not necessarily enjoy busy stages. So while it sounds fun in theory, I am not sure if I would actually want to play on it more than "every once and awhile."

Well, there's always Omega.
I actually have thought about if it was set outside of all the dungeons, but as you said, that would be less interesting...passing the Ghost Ship for a circle of torches is let than ideal, you know?
On the flip side, you could have the platform that the Ocarina songs warps you to as a base that's consistent with every stage.
Either way you'd have to take some liberties.
