I've always felt since the official roster reveal that the lack of Mewtwo, Lucas and Wolf were its biggest absences. 2 out of 3 were done by the time the ballot opened, so I only voted for Wolf.

I'd personally add Ice Climbers and Snake to that list, them being unique veterans... but those two will likely not make it this time. So out of reasonable options, yeah, Wolf is pretty much the biggest omission at this point imo as well.

Oh, ok. The english wording there threw me off. "the copyright of Character "Geno", reserved by SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD." I figured it would've said "is reserved by" instead of just "reserved by".

I read this tidbit in the Geno page itself if you wanna give it a look. It's in the trivia section.

I think there's a good chance this is the last of our pre-ballot stuff. And that these characters were planned since April, maybe even before.

They probably had a time table of content to fill their time with until they were ready to start picking ballot characters.

Nah it's just hard. And not over the top hard where I've put in a million enemies, just a good mix of annoyance.

My Olimar/ Pikmin level only has 20% completion but it's actually not too bad.

It's more or less assured we're getting a 2nd stage so I'm starting to maybe think this could be true.

If we don't get any characters on the 30th I'm going to assume the remaining ones are ballot characters. If we get 2 on the 30th, I'm guessing one will be a vet (Wolf) and the other a newcomer.

The two final boss tracks are pretty sweet.

And the game has multiple renditions of the generic boss theme in the series, including a ROCK ARRANGEMENT.

It's quite possible they intended at one time for Wolf to be released then. But plans change, of course. Likewise, if Wolf is even worked on or done, it still makes more sense for him to be pre-ballot since he's immensely popular as a veteran right now.

Well Wolf with is busted. Wolf because, not so much.

Even Wolf with busted is up in the air. There's always that chance they could want to tie it in; hence waiting until 2016 for Wolf. Never said Wolf's chances were completely busted because of this delay.

Well if what Tama said is true, it can't be Shovel Knight if this includes the planned pre ballot content. After all, SK is supposedly a Ballot choice.

I'm going to be a bit brave with my guess. Wolf and Isaac is what I'm feeling.

The way I see it there is no safe guess.

Is this pre-ballot? Is it ballot influenced? Are we even getting characters on the 30th? Worst of all, are we getting characters as Mii costumes?

There are so many unpredictable factors up in the air that you cannot make an accurate guess, since even Wolf is not a guarantee as of now.

Speculation is wild.

It's been like this for awhile actually, I fully believe most of the trailers following the Cammy/Birdie reveal have been tailored to fit the event they place take in.

• Vega, a Spaniard, revealed in Gamescon, an European convention
• R Mika was at PAX, while not American, her wacky and campy wrestling style is very popular in America
• Karin in TGS, explains itself
• Rashid in Dubai Games 15, again, explains itself
• Ken was in SDCC, not only does this convention take place in Murica but Ken is a very well known character, so it was better to reveal him in a general nerd-con where he'd get lots of positive rep
• Necalli was at EVO, which is just about the perfect place to reveal the very first newcomer

Ono had pretty much blatantly said the Brazil Game Show character would be Brazillian, so there's Laura.

NYCC is soon so if Capcom's there and the Sili leak is real, then Alex is probably there.

Idk where to put Urien (again, if the leak is true) but Zen at the Capcom Cup in December seems like a safe bet imo

Precisely why I said I'm not allowing myself to be blinded by it. Though either way, it makes me happy to see that Wii U owners in Japan can experience what I think is an underrated DS title easily and perhaps gateway into Metroid despite its lower popularity over there.

If it comes to NA, I will buy it. I still have(and play) my original 2005 cartridge, but I love this game so much.

There's going to be post-launch characters, cutting Blanka off the initial 16 shouldn't matter much if they can just put him later.

Yeah, you're right. Zen was reported to be from India, so there's that.

Either way, I'm banking on a Capcom Cup reveal. If we don't get the whole roster by then anyway.

Following on from this morning’s report that Fox Engine director Julien Merceron has left Konami, a new report from the same French website says the publisher is not investing in AAA console games any more.

The sole exception is the Pro Evolution Soccer series. That means no Metal Gear or Silent Hill to come, despite Konami’s earlier statements suggesting the former will continue.

Eurogamer too was able to corroborate this report, adding that the suspected reason for Merceron’s departure is true.

This will not affect Metal Gear Online, which is set to launch on October 6.
