Anyways, I just feel like there are too many "retro" stages in Smash 4. 75m, Mute City 3DS, Balloon Fight, Dream Land, Pac Land, etc. Imagine how good these would look if they were "HDified". Just personal preference though

Well, at least I've finally get to hear further news on Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon and Codename: STEAM. But at the same time, I'm finally glad the Majora's Mask is getting a remake for the 3DS.

Also, I really liked how DHD's trailer is presented.

Majora's Mask 3DS is pretty awesome! That game was the joy and bane of my existence back in the day.

I was holding out for Metroid Prime 3DS but oh well. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Splatoon has me excited. Sadly, I'm going by what you are all saying. I won't be able to sit down and enjoy the Direct until 14 hours from now as I'll be at work all day ><

I did manage to catch the Duck Hunt trailer before work thankfully.

I am hyped x1000 for XBCX.

That footage was rivaling the insane stuff we're seeing from the open world new Final Fantasy game Sony has been showing lately. I don't have a PS4 but I'm almost for damn sure XBCX will fill my open world RPG void. Tack on the fact that Hiroyuki Sawano is composing for the game? I heard his classic arrangement style in the direct! I am so hyped!

Meanwhile I better get back to completing XBC!

I wish i had little pikmin helpers in real life. The highlights of the Nintendo Direct for me were....

-Majora's Mask 3D remake
-S.T.E.A.M. gameplay
-MK8 DLC trailer/Amiibo costume integration for the Mii's
-Kirby and the Rainbow Curse gameplay/multiplayer component
-Duck Hunt Smash Bros. trailer
-Hyrule Warriors Amiibo integration
-XBCX gameplay
-Splatoon singe player gameplay

Overall, a very satisfying Nintendo Direct that did not disappoint. I'm sure those who were disappointed probably had too high of expectations.

I'm excited, I'll admit that, and I'm totally glad that Nintendo is definitely listening to their fans nowadays. But (maybe it's just my imagination) it almost seems like they're coming off as desperate. Just repeating over and over what seemed to work before, like they aren't getting many new ideas. S.T.E.A.M. sounds Ok, but doesn't seem very significant.

It was literally only useful in 1 temple, and a few heart pieces. Whereas, almost all the other items had many more uses.

The spinner could only be used on special rails to move around faster, which aren't very accessible. If you use it on the ground, you lose speed so fast.

Thats sounds sorta rude. This wasn't a smash direct. It was a direct about upcoming wii u and 3DS games. It wasnt all about Smash. sorry if that is to much for you to understand.

Wow Nintendo is making such a comeback for me. (really all it takes is a Smash release personally...) So many promising looking titles, and finally a(n) HD system to host them on. Splatoon caught my eye, and I'm sure many others, when it was first announced but damn am I ready, that looks terribly fun. Xenoblade is a series I'm not familiar with but I'll happily give that a shot, it looks beautiful. I'm actually going to go watch those pik animations right now, huge fan of the world of animation and even though he's gotten so much love and attention by default from so many people at this point, I still owe it to Miyamoto (and all the hard working people at Nintendo) for some of the best gaming, and in general, experiences of my life.

As it turns out, you're allowed to have different tastes. Farorae invited this reaction in posting next to the multitudes of fans. People need to learn to communicate their disagreements better though on both sides. Simply saying something is awful doesn't add much. And assuming things about that person is also not helpful. This was bound to be ugly though the second you posted in such a blunt and nondescript manner in this context. But end of day you're absolutely allowed to have your opinion and don't need for it to be validated, that goes for both sides.

Best bet is to drop this, and move on. Or discuss in a mature manner why or why not it was good/bad to you. But maybe do this over PM and practice your talking skills outside of a public board.
