It's kinda annoying me that they're not just revealing the DLC - given that people can actually pay for that before it's revealed, I would almost feel a moral obligation to leak if I were them. Hopefully it'll be out there soon enough given how quick the banner leaked after PapaGenos played so coy
Also, Tommy in Reptar's win/loss animation sounds super cute - whether it's Tommy climbing on Reptar's back or zooming out to reveal that Reptar was a toy, it could be really nice.
I think quite a few of these have decent chances, honestly. I don't think all of the following will happen, but I could absolutely see some four-character combination of, say, Katara, Sokka, Dib, Membrane, Jon, Heffer, Cindy, and maybe Donnie and Vexus happening.
I know it may be a point of discussion but i always feel guilty whenever i look at leaks sometimes and with this games discussion about said leaks it's making me feel disappointed in it.
So, i'm just going to ignore any spoiler tab that contains whatever is leaked and just continue watching this thread until the game comes out, but whoever is deciding to show off all these leaks for NASB 2 should probably feel ashamed of themselves.
I think out of those, Luan, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, Angelica and Heffer have the biggest chances. After that I'd say Dib, Membrane, Vexus, Jon, Angelica and Katara and Sokka have a fair shot too. Donnie I'm not too sure but I'd say his chances are fairly small unless they really wanted something weird. Metalhead and Bebop I don't see them getting in at all before Rocksteady or Casey. I don't see any other Rocko rep getting in before Heffer, unless again they really want something weird, and I don't see El Tigre getting a second rep. Cindy I'm not too sure, I feel like Sheen have bigger shot and even his chances are very low considering that Hugh is cut I don't really see Jimmy Neutron getting another rep.
While I do think Heffer is the most likely 2nd Rocko rep, Ed Bighead is being overlooked hard - he has about as many spotlight episodes as Heffer, and is arguably a bigger part of the series than Filburt despite not being part of the main 3 trio - in fact, both episodes where Rocko is absent are Bighead episodes. He doesn't even have redundancy with Squidward going against him, since most of Squiddy's moves are based on his artistic side and flexible body, probably his biggest differences from Ed.

The leaker culture has gotten pretty big, like even outside the smash community it makes news headlines especially for content creators. It's unfortunate in a way, because I do think it's more fun to see the reveals for ourselves, though everyone probably feels differently, like for switch 2 stuff I don't mind the leaks but it still also feels like using the bottom of the barrel to get attention.
At the end of the day I just wanna enjoy the game .
If we're talking series that are already in the game, I think Vexus is an obvious call. Main villain and people have wanted her in since the first game. People might think she's not bad enough for a pass that's universally being called mid, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she's the one conclusively "good" pick here.
Other than that, another TMNT character's practically a lock as far as I'm concerned. Any pick from that series that isn't Shredder or one of the missing Turtles would be considered bad at this point. Casey and Rocksteady seem like obvious calls, and I'm gonna go with Rocksteady on account of him being planned for the first game.
Another Garfield rep seems like a reasonably safe bet since most people aren't too thrilled about the idea. Odie would be the obvious, but I'm gonna go with Jon since mediocrity is apparently the theme of this pass.
Character 4 is probably another Loud sister or something, but I'm gonna go with my copium and predict Professor Membrane. He fits as a "rule of cool" pick in line with the likes of Helga and Reptar, but most would consider him getting in before Dib and GIR to be questionable.
I'm gonna be bold and say the "Stevia" thing is a red herring and Angelica's out, at least for now. Assuming I'm wrong about any of these, Heffer, Carl Wheezer, and Donnie Thornberry seem like decent possibilities. Sokka and Katara genuinely seem too good for this. I'm not expecting another El Tigre character so soon, and I'm 50/50 on Skulker.
Well if TMNT is the topic allow me to share two other possibilities
Metalhead - If there’s anything that would be deemed a bad pick now, it’d be a non Leo/Mikey turtle, and he had a scrapped announcer call in NASB 1 (it’s been stated this doesn’t mean anything, BUT they’ve already shown to be on board with a more unconventional TMNT pick and the existence of the announcer call at the very least means they thought of the character). Plus he’s definitely got good moveset potential and such
Baxter Stockman - This guy has been pretty different across each iteration of TMNT show wise, but in the 87 series he’s a humanoid fly guy with laser pistols/guns and stuff and generally speaking is a pretty prominent TMNT character/antag. Plus, he’s one of the select few that’s a pit crew member in the Nick kart racers games for TMNT and would also have good moveset potential (probably a speedy aerial keep away character prioritizing projectiles and stuff)

The more I think about it, I think Stu Pickles would be an amazing pick for a second Rugrats rep. While I still want more Angelica (she's pretty much my most wanted at this point), Stu could have a moveset based on the toys he invented, which would be a cool way to represent the more childish side of Rugrats instead of just the big dinosaur.
I don't think that the Nick executives would allow that unless they changed the turtles to instead represent the 2012 series, as that's the only series Karai appeared in.
This is modern Nickelodeon we're talking about, "would promote a new project" is as damning a prospect to them as "debuted in a non-game spin-off" would be for Nintendo.

Oh. I thought she was an exclusive character to the 2012 series. Still, I think she's not getting in because she didn't appear in the 80s series, and the Nick executives forbade the devs from mixing different iterations of TMNT together.

Karai would actually be the biggest TMNT rep curveball given the current circumstances so not a bad idea actually, heck Plankton shows that Nick is being more flexible with what they’re allowed to do with fighters canonicity wise (I originally thought it was just her 2003 design but comparing makes it seem that there are in fact some visual differences)
