Not bad. You have the basic movement's down and you're jump lasers are nice. Besides playing better opponents, try to work on stringing together combos, or more combos. Just think about one hit leading to another and rack up damage. That's what falco is for :)

Thanks Chain-Ace! My combos usually arent too bad, but samus is freakishly hard to combo for me. I try, but you can see me get disrupted by how bloody high the shine sends samus, and then combine that with the bombs and yeesh. It frustrates me :(

I like it, it's good for only playing for a few months.

A small tidbit of advice, get used to JC grabbing more. Falcos often get punished for missing a grab. Especially dash grabs. Make sure to fast fall those SHFFLs too. Other than that, just practice up on learning how the characters work.

Alright, I have no idea how to play this MU btw.

0:17 he dash attacks you, you shieldgrab him. It would have been better to shine OoS>Bair. Practice shine OoS, so useful. You got the shieldgrab but it was lucky as hell.

I think Uthrow would be a better option vs Samus, unless you can Fthrow her off stage to keep her on the defensive.

0:28 I have no idea what you were thinking lol.

Practice SH laser approach. approaching laser>grab.
Get your Fastfalls down, you ALWAYS want to be fast falling.

Always be shooting lasers or moving or doing anything sometimes you stay still.
Work on getting your SH aerial attacks really low to the ground(Late aerials)
Learn to shine from under a platform>waveland on plat. It helps so much with comboing.
You approach with Dair ALOT. It's not bad but you miss it alot. Try to Nair more, nair can go through samus's missles.

7:27 he rolls into you and you Dsmash. He was at low percent you could of did some Shine>Dair>Utilt type stuff.
You only shine after you hit the Dair. Learn to use shine more and open up with lasers.
8:27 good, that's the stuff you want to do.
9:10 You nair'd right through his missle and hit him off stage, nice.
Tech-chase Dair more at high percents. Your Falco's not bad just needs some tweaks and you'll be much better. Hope I helped <3

Please ignore "more laser" advice, never just laser more, they're situational. Just firing more lasers for no reason is going to hurt you, not help you.

I guess, if they can powershield more than 50% of the time? :c

Spamming lasers without any strategy behind them will get you nowhere fast, but spamming tons of lasers and knowing why you are using them is necessary to become a really good falco player.

Lasers are important to stop the opponent while they're attacking, playing mindgames, and keeping the battle busy for the opponent (as long as each laser isn't randomly shot everywhere).

Your Falco movement is excellent. Whenever your opponent is attacking and you are shielding, a great option is to shine out of your shield once they have tried to hit you. It starts off a great combo.

Very great Falco for starting not too long ago :)

Pretty sure I just said not to just spam more lasers with no strategy behind them. @ other people, obviously lasers are amazing for controlling space and stuff but if you start lasering in grab range or something for no reason but to use more lasers you're going to die.

I say ignore "more laser" advice because unless you know why/ when to laser, it really wont help. Especially if you're lasering when a nair or something would be better.

Edit: I say this because I was trying to help my friend with falco and told him he needed to just laser more, and his response was to laser retardedly at close range into marth's shield and get gimped because of it. Or full jump triple laser at random and get caught in the air.

From my experience =
Don't shine floaties. U--tilt them instead.

Okay, my first point was covered by Ruhtraeel. PP brought this up too, especially against puff. utilt will suffice for a shine when you need to hit them up.
As far as lasers, you really should shoot a lot of them to just frustrate your opponent and lock them down. If they're unaffected by it [dodge them constantly] ignore that, and focus on other strategies. But if you're a sniper and can really stop everything that they do, fire a bunch of lasers to shut them down and frustrate them, making them do something rash and give up control of the match. Against Samus it's not as useful as say against Marth or Fox.

An actual review of things that really stuck out to me:
1) Both of you really need to always, ALWAYS sweet spot the ledge. If you don't sweet spot, you will die. It happened to both of you, with Samus at 2:25, and with you at 1:42

2) Punish their missed techs, and don't reveal your hand too early. 2:18, he was on the ground and you were just charging your Fsmash. That's what I call "Revealing your hand too early." You never want your opponent to know what you're going to do, and by charging an Fsmash you've committed to one singular action. So don't do that, or release it. I doubt he'll just get up for you to Fsmash when you're done. Make sense?

3) Spacing, and understanding your hits. This is more for your friend, as he just UpBs as Samus all the time. While I agree with HugS on the idea that UpBs are "free damage", he has to understand the hitboxes of his attack. 2:02, you downsmash his Shield, and he immediately turns and upBs, even though you were no longer in his attack range. So while most of the time he was good on those, remind him that UpB is not always the best option.

I know that's only the first game, but those are the most important things I see. Everything has been covered.
If you add more games maybe we can help with those.
