****ing yes. Moonlit Wilderness SHOULD be in Smash. One of my fave tracks from Tekken 5 lol.

for Cacomallow, I feel i read somewhere that someone confessed to making the Grinch Leak 2.0 aka Cacomallow. would not suprise me int he slightest if that was the case and it was all some super elaborate mod they didn't disclose the method of replicating until much later

It's funny because like Cacomallow itself, that "confession" doesn't have anything to stand on. They mentioned just grabbing the hat off of the internet, and if that was the case, it definitely would've been found by now. I think the most likely situation with Cacomallow was that some guy was working on getting Mii hat mods working and wanted to get publicity a la the Rayman fake. But once it blew up the way it did, they realized that maybe telling them that you baited them for the sake of publicity isn't the best idea.

Their inclusion doesn't even rely on the leak. After all, we had a fake Min Min leak a while back, and yet we still got her regardless. Even if CacoMallow's fake, we could still get Geno or the Slayer, right?

Geno's in a good position, but Slayer may or may not be dead. There's still a lot of costumes available to come with him, and Betheseda has two separate articles. The first one was a long time back saying Slayer was outright denied, during Pass 1's licensing.

A second article existed that talked about "an interview"(no specific one) where they had trouble with Slayer, but were still discussing stuff. This one seems to be talking about the only known talk with Nintendo. Then we see Vault Boy, confirming talks were clearly still happening. Keeping in mind that the timing of this, the context suggests there's one interview, but it's also kind of vague if they meant Doom Slayer is still not happening or not. They only basically said there's nothing to the rumors of Doom Slayer for Pass 2, but since they refer only to one known interview(or one we don't know about), it can be an easy way to lead people off the path.

It's best to think that it's likely dead, but not clear enough to say for sure.

...To put it simply, there's a lot of dead leaks. Or situations. Doom Slayer is on life support right now.

TBH I'm actually really surprised at how good those Callie and Marie costumes look. Like, with good enough Miis, they ain't too far from the real thing. As someone who really loves Miis in Smash, I'm happy to see them get so much attention to detail with these costumes, it really makes them fun to play as and is a nice compromise to characters who didn't make the cut.

Still waiting for that Shovel Knight costume, though.

Honestly, I still believe Reimu's coming eventually. There was just a lot of stuff pointing to her inclusion, and I feel like not all of it got fully explained away as fake.

Just a gut feeling at this point, honestly, but I still have faith in her.

I don't think I've ever fought a Brawler controlled by another person, online or locally. Which means it's probably pretty bad.

They're not...the worst character ever from what I can tell, they're just not nearly as fun to play as Sword and Gunner are. Honestly, IDK why they didn't make Callie a Sword Fighter: Her main weapon is a Roller. Just give the Mii a mini Roller and boom, Swordfighter Callie.

EDIT: A brush would also work pretty well.

Man, there's nothing to be done about it now, but Min Min getting in really makes me wish they would've gone for Edelgard over Byleth. She's got like no shot of getting in now, sadly, but man I would've been so hyped.

-With Min Min being chosen, now I start to wonder about franchises like Dynasty Warriors and Soulcalibur since they're both similar to ARMS when it comes to the roster. Since Sakurai said the dev of ARMS requested Min Min, it makes me think "Who would the devs of this specific franchise want in Smash?". For example, would Project Soul, the devs behind Soulcalibur, want Mitsurugi since he's a mainstay of the series dating back to Soul Edge and is playable in all the SC games, or would they want Nightmare since he's 1 of the most important characters in the franchise and wields 1 of the most iconic weapons in the games? Would Omega-Force, the devs behind Dynasty Warriors, want Zhao Yun since he's the face of the series, or would they want Lu Bu since he's the most iconic character of the franchise? All I can do now is think.

Or Xiahou Dun because he's Akihiro Suzuki's favorite

Minecraft characters would almost guaranteed clip into themselves if they became costumes, plus the fact that we would be getting bending blocks.

I just realised, with Spirit Battles now being freely acessable, this opens a whole new category of Smash Bros speed runs. Heck, two even. One with the spirits and the Mad Lad category where you try to defeat The Boss with no poison immunity.

They already spent extra time balancing Min Min's ARM swapping and extendible arm gimmicks, why would this be any different?

Because Dante's Moveset is not only alot bigger than Min-Min's, but he has much more variety in his attacks and Mechanics. It also doesn't help that he has the same formula as Bayonetta of being a Stylish Combo machine, and we saw how that turned out in the last game. Dante is a balancing nightmare for a game like Smash

I just realised, with Spirit Battles now being freely acessable, this opens a whole new category of Smash Bros speed runs. Heck, two even. One with the spirits and the Mad Lad category where you try to defeat The Boss with no poison immunity.

It'll make practicing for Lightlockes easier as well, I imagine. Really glad they finally patched it in, it was always a bit silly you could never easily re-challenge a Spirit battle when all they are are this game's event battles (which you could re-fight in older games).

Yeah, I thought it was weird they didn't go with the Sword Fighter and a roller for Callie. Making a charger for Marie doesn't seem like it would be too difficult either, but they're just costumes so it isn't that important.
