Sweet, he's still the best in MN and his Falcon basically destroyed me in those vids. I couldn't move or even get in gimps.
Okay I got in one gimp but that was his Fox, which is also beastly.
The issue you face while facing his, and probably anyone else's fox or falcon, is your complete lack of setting a pace or pattern.
What I mean is this: you play the match with a mostly slow, untechnical pikachu. Your combos are very A-B-C, with little room for improvisation or on the fly mindgames. You play the game at your own subconscious pattern, and if it doesnt work, you lose.
Take the second match for example. The FIRST thing you do on dreamland is come off the top platform, then dive straight to the middle of the stage with a traveling netural air. Of course, this does nothing at all. Remember what Isai has set in stone..."Don't get hit". Why jump in the middle of the stage with a neutral air? This led to a 50 damage combo for Aaron. As soon as you got out of it at the 18 second mark, what's the first thing you did?
A shiled into another random netural air that did nothing.
What happened?
Another 50 damage for Aaron. This is complicated by the fact that you failed to edgueguard him after he led himself off the edge (a huuuuuge mistake for falcons against pika), and he kept you in the air long enough to knock you off once again, where you commit another bad mistake and miss your sweetspot to the edge. This leads to zero damage for aaron, and you're already down a stock.
It seems to me that you like to set damage off with neutral airs. This
DOES NOT WORK. Try traveling downairs as you go off to the next platform to dash dance. Try throwing out a thundershock. Try taunting for all I care, just dont EVER do a move that will get you hit.
YOU ARE CRIMINAL AT DIVING AT OPPONENTS BLINDLY. Against ioc, I lost count at how many random neutral airs and upsmashes you just slowly dove at his Ganon with. A good falcon will combo you from zero to death if you flail around, as I had to learn against Darkrain, Jiano, and Tapion, among others.
You need to get anal retentive about edguarding with pikachu. As I noticed from your short combo video thing, pikachu isnt always as easy as backthrow, slow edge grab, and up air. Sometimes you have to quick attack with the quickness of Fox on steroids. Sometimes you have to use your tilts, wavedashes, jabs, forward airs, mindgames, and everything pikachu has to get the gimps and favorable situations. Dont just calmly throw out a forward smash: It usually won't work.
You need to get faster. You need to get smarter. You need to stop neutral airing to start off every match. Practice some tech. Practice chainthrowing falcon. Practice dash dancing and wavelanding off platforms. Just dont be a static, two dimensional player. Pikachu's character model is NOT good enough to win matches just by going through the motions. Fox's will eat you alive, falcons will combo you, shieks will chain grab you, and so on.
That said, I almost four stocked aaron when I played him. With a little more quickness and more brains d, you can do the same.
