So let me ask a question, Earthbound stages. What is next? Now that Melee will be two generations behind I doubt we will see either Onett or Fourside return, New Pork City is so loathed I doubt they will be bringing that back. Meaning we will be due for a new stage. So let me ask, what should it be? Here is my proposal ladies and gentleman, Saturn Valley.

The level is found in both Mother games and play significant roles in both stories. They could model it more after the Mother 2 design since it was larger.

The stage would be very simplistic looking. You fight in the middle of Saturn Valley. Not much to it, the houses will be your platforms and you'll see in the background Saturn's walking around. Occasionally stepping onto the battlefield and becoming a normal item. Up on the cliffs will be the shop and hot spring, along with some Mr. Saturns floating via balloon. If you look hard enough, towards the very top of the stage, in the cliffs you will be able to see Milky Well. Ness' third sanctuary location.

Behind you you will notice something rather large and mechanical in the shape of a Mr. Saturn. Why it's the Phase Distorter 2! Dr. Andonuts will be standing next to it, doing repairs and occasionally taking a break to look at the field.

What is special about this stage is it has an alternate... In the alternate, everything will proceed as though you were having aa normal match in Saturn Valley. Except this time it is anything but normal. Andonuts makes a mistake, activating the Phase Distorter and sending you into the past! So the stage will blur and black rings will begin pulsating from the Phase Distorter. [The timing of this will be about 2 seconds after the match begins.]

You are now stuck in The Cave of the Past to finish out the remainder of your fight. The colorful, friendly world of Saturn Valley has now been substituted for the isolated, monochrome world filled with diamond shaped objects buzzing behind you. All the way in the distance is a cave with a mysterious red glow... The light moving as a heartbeat would... It is a menacing cold land.

Now the stages are different in design beyond just aesthetics. Whereas Saturn Valley is a walk off, The Cave of The Past is not; you can actually fall off.

Who would be the most shocking character to appear in the trailer?

Who would act as the "Snake" for the trailer. I wouldn't scream in awe if Mega Man is revealed.

For those who are puzzled how Wright will fit in UMvC 3, you might as well ask me why.

Crash Bandicoot, Jax, and Daxter or Sly Cooper.
They are all toony enough for SSB, but I think they would be more
of the "Sonic" than the "Snake".

Correct. You picked three Pokemon stages, but I'm sure you know as well as everyone else that four Pokemon is much more likely.

I disagree here. Pokemon along with Mario is due for a fifth slot. If either franchise only got four slots, it would greatly disappoint many people and I don't imagine many people being happy with the 5th gen Pokemon being treated as Lucario's replacement.

Not individually. You can however, join ChronoBound's Cut Melee Characters Alliance which I'm hoping to get involved with PCAM.

what is it with people wanting Victini in this new game?
Nintendo doesn't care what the fan fave is... we we not all begging them
to put in Lucario, but that is what they did. They are prolly gonna put in
something we never saw coming.

Read what Shortiecanbrawl said, which is a big reason why Victini has a shot of being playable. Since we are guarantee to get a 5th gen Pokemon, if Victini gets enough popularity, he will likely be added over Zoroark.

Ironically enough, the so-called fan favorite is Zoroark, which unsurprisingly is losing popularity, and is much more expected then Victini, although I think Victini is more likely to get in then Zoroark.

Shortie, Victini isn't the president of Game Freak, but is Junichi Masuda's favorite Pokemon.

Dixie has a chance at a lone character. Why would he combine them?

They were planned as a duo originally in Brawl. Since Sakurai has made move set changes before, I would be unsurprise to see the duo get in.

Only 37? That sounds way too pessimistic; that's pretty much the same as Brawl's roster. 45-50 characters sounds more realistic, IMO.

I'm being realistic here. If we get universal roster, we will likely not get more then 40 slots.

Apparently because Dixie has a unused file in Brawl means they were going to be a duo.

What do you guys think will happen to Brawl if SSB4 is superior? Brawl has a lot of issues and if SSB4 corrects this Brawl might lose a lot of its competitive scene.

In regards to Starphoenix's stage concept, why do you feel that Yoshi will not get another stage?

Because Yoshi is in the same boat as Ice Climbers and Game and Watch (to a degree DK as well, but not much since he has had a new game). There really isn't any where else to go with their stage concepts, plus Yoshi's Island is such a fitting stage as is (and a good one at that). The last time Yoshi headlined a title (in this case titles) was pre-Brawl with Touch and Go and Yoshi's Island DS, both of those titles were represented. Yoshi isn't likely to get a new game prior to Smash Bros 4, and with development confirmed to begin in October (via Project Sora's webpage) I feel he will not receive another one. Yoshi, Ice Climbers, and Game and Watch are not series that need another stage.

My definition of "need" are these three criteria:

1: New characters from their series will be playable.
2: A new game was released within the general time frame of development or is publicly known to be in development.
3: There is something absolutely creatively unique that cannot be matched by other series or present stages.

Oh, and earlier Shortie mentioned that three Pokémon stages were not enough to represent five Pokémon, I disagree.

Honestly that's too low, I'm expecting at least 42 character at the very least, and probably around 46/47 as my maximum, including transformations.★

Captain Rainbow's game didn't do so well either if I recall correctly. Besides, he gives off that "Japanese superhero" vibe which Captain Falcon already SCREAMS. Rainbow would be a bit pointless.
