Play and beat Super Metroid, and you will love Ridley.

Plus the dude killed Samus' parents, he doesn't die, and he's the leader of the Space Pirates. What isn't to love=???

That would actually work pretty well. His design makes it look pretty natural to crawl. Just speed up the crawl a bit and it'd be really awesome.

I retract my speed doubts for both Rool and Ridley, my bad.

It actually kind of makes sense that Ridley's design makes crawling natural due to his adolescent stage being on all fours.

I am curious what people think of Krom now that its confirmed he has Aether and Quick Draw. I think if he does get in, its safe to say that his moveset would be a derivative of Ike's.

I'm still not sold on Krom I want to see how fe13 does first and some more gameplay videos after the game drops.

So, if the character roster is being decided right about now, does anything that happens between now (not literally now, but in a general sense) and the release of the game in terms of games being released have no effect on what the roster shall be? If so, this would mean that anything that could make good editions that are released beyond this point will likely not be added, and this may apply to characters that we know about now but are more unknown along with their games.

The only way Sakurai can learn of these characters from other developers is if they approach him and reveal interest in having their characters appear in Smash Brothers before it is too late, right?

I always liked Ridley, but I never saw him as a "serious" smash bros. candidate until I came here. And then I was like "THESE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND ME!!!"

I think Krom could have those moves, but use them differently. I mean, so far, Ike, Roy, and Marth all have the same down B, so 1 move overlapping isn't a huge deal. Regardless, I am growing fond to the idea of Krom and Fire Emblem 13. I think Krom is going to remain as 1 of the most-liked Fire Emblem (Lord) characters, and Fire Emblem 13 as 1 of the most-liked Fire Emblem games.

Krom canonically does both Aether and Quick Draw. I think its safe to say Aether will be Krom's recovery move if he gets in.

I think Roy would stand out more than Krom would.

Just make Krom an Ike clone.

Just have him be faster, have less priority and knockback to his moves (ex. doesn't have Ike's awesome jab), less lag to his moves as well. Maybe change up how he does Great Aether as well. I'm still waiting for the story to FE13 to properly analyze him though.

Obviously you haven't played Fire Emblem 6. Roy fight nothing like Marth in it.

I imagine Krom will be a bit of a speedster like Marth.

I think if Roy is true to his Fire Emblem 6 appearance, he would be an awesome stab-aholic.

If Krom gets in, I can see Krom having his neutral special move being a lance/javelin throw in place of Eruption.

I think Krom will use lances and other such weapons for various moves. Plus he seems to be a true jack-of-all-trades.

Really, I do not see Krom being a Ike clone or Marth clone unless he's a late addition. With that said, he could still be a faster Ike clone or a more powerful Marth clone very easily.

Once I post the project I've been working on, then I probably will just hide out in the social groups. I'm positve I'll occationally post here though. Although much of this depends if the social groups take off or not.

Social groups generally tend to not be too active. The "real" social groups are the character specific discussions. That is where you should remain active if you want to remain active. However, a few character boards (Lucas=???) tend to be a little slow (especially the Brawl character boards).
