You know... I actually like the man cosplaying as Misty... he has a nice muscular build... I don't care for crossdressing, though.. I would have preferred if he was cosplaying Lt. Sarge or Bruno.... bara men FTW!
Sooo...
How about a nice DK Minecart Level?
[COLLAPSE="Minecart Madness!!"]
Firstly, it's based on the famous minecart levels in the DKCountry series. They're really important in the series, being one of the main things people remember AFTER the obvious jungle levels.
You ride a longer version of this cart, filled with blue crystals, like in DKReturns:
...which acts as the main platform.
So, the level is really simple to explain:
- It works like Big Blue.
- But the track is NOT walkable. You'll fall through it instead of falling ON it.
- Jumps, obstacles and alternative tracks. Like in the original games, the stage should be a little frantic.
- From time to time, there should be another track, with a "platform-track" running over the main track. Kinda like what happens in Big Blue, but rustier.
- That's about it. The concept is really simple.
Now my favorite part... Let's talk about MUSIC:
[COLLAPSE="Music"]So, as the stage is based on the most frantic levels in the series, the music should be frantic as well. Luckily, DKCountry has lots of good frantic songs[and some bonus "mine" songs...]:
And that's that. Hope you like it. I don't think the chances of having a stage like that for the DK franchise are very nice, but a man can dream, at least...
Any thoughts?
[/COLLAPSE]
I love it! But I would like it if the mine cart stage would alternate between indoors and outdoors... almost like it is going in circles... so the background would show the caves, the jungle, and the temple ruins.
Hey! The mole train could be a hazard in the background where it runs parallel to the mine cart's tracks and I dunno, maybe throw bombs on the mine cart. I would like that instead of it being a moving Final Destination stage set on train tracks.
I won't lie to you. I thought about it.
And I think the only reason I had for not doing it like this is because I was too lazy to draw it it wouldn't fit in the frantic jumping style I had in mind.
That is not a bad idea at all. Heck, I'd love to see it instead of the same old generic jungle we always have to accept.

F*ck. I was hoping Genesect would appear somewhere in those shots. It's kinda cool that Lucario and Metagross look to be "rivals" of the opposing versions (along with Zoroark vs. Haxorus). Or maybe that's just how they got lined up in that image. I hate to complain, but I reeeeeally don't care for those playable character designs. I'm also gonna miss the two rival thing they did with Bianca and Cheren. Still looks awesome, though.
Oh, and I'm thoroughly disappointed that they're bringing back Pokemon from previous gens as catchable during the main game. The Unova-only Pokemon deal made the game feel fresh, so I guess I'm gonna have to get used to seeing Machop everywhere again. Or at least Psyduck.
I don't like Zoroark, but I must say,(and I don't mean this sarcastically):
Pretty sure that Zoroark and Lucario will be version exclusives.
If anything I'm liking the attention that Lucario is getting (not a flavor of the month now is it?). Props for finally making Zoroark a wild Pokemon as well.
The trainers look okay IMO, the girl is fine by me, but the guy looks just plain odd (is he wearing a hat or does he have an afro?) though. I'm just wondering about the story now for obvious reasons. Not to mention how this will effect the manga (how will they name these two new characters, Black 2 and White 2?). lol
I was kinda hoping those rumors about "new pokémon and G/S feel" to be true.
Yeah, I guess I'll play this game just for the story, like I did with Black.
Zoroark and Lucario in Sm4sh? I can live with that. I don't care about Zoro, but Lucario is a favorite.
Put Mewtwo in the mix and we're having a party.
PS: Thanks for the nice comments on my stage idea, guys! ;D
I think this means a good chance Lucario won't be cut, which makes me happy because he was the Brawl character in the most precarious situation outside of the third-party characters.
I am now starting to think that Toise's prediction of Sakurai simply adding back in Mewtwo and calling it a day is very plausible.

Weren't you thinking a BW2 would make it just earlier today, Chrono? Or was that your dream roster business.
It's just funny that then you were saying you weren't considering Zoroark at all, favoring others, and now presented with Zoroark as the most probable candidate, you still don't consider him.

I was talking about that for my dream roster. As for Zoroark's chances, I explicitly mentioned that in regards to Zoroark, I was not considering him for my dream roster. I still think its premature to consider Zoroark the most likely 5th-generation Pokemon. I think the release of Black/White 2 will bring about much better clarity in regards to this issue.
Also, I just looked at the so-called artwork promotion, and its very tiny. I don't think its fair to label it something as something promient.
