Opossum: Subtitles would work. Someone should lampshade on subtitles being added, and maybe Red being able to understand his Pokemon without needing a translator of some sort.

Yoshi could talk partially, but he prefers to use his usual cries. He'd utter some words /Here I go! Hey!, etc./

DK might speak through thoughts /Maybe Palutena grants some telepathic skills to the Smashers to hear what DK's thinking. / Or not at all.

Diddy should talk IMO. His personality would be more opened this way.

Hmm... quest appearances and suprise bosses would be dandy. Each would have their own quotes and banters with the fighters. Imagine Fawful and Dimentio together messing with the characters. XDD Sorta like what Pandora did in Uprising.

This is why NPCs should have roles in Adventure Mode. Would make the story feel a lot more Nintendo-ish, and I would love to see characters like Toadsworth and Chao interact with the playable characters even if they aren't playable by themselves

You can even make Waluigi the NPC joke character of Smash, like how Dan is in SFxT

As an uncommon Earthbound/Mother fan I'd like to voice my opinion of adding the Masked Man from Mother 3 into the game. As you may or may not know the Mother/Earthbound series features characters like Ness, Jeff, Lucas, and Mr. Saturns. The Franklin Badge also stems from these games.
The Masked Man is a strange human youth who wears a metal mask. He is some sort of 'mechanical chimera'-that is, he has some robotic parts, like an arm cannon and wings. Google-image it- 'masked man mother 3'. The reason I think he makes a good candidate is because of his wide range of abilities in-game. He's also a major plot character, so it wouldn't be like making Goomba playable. He's also average-sized, unlike Ridley and others.

By taking the top two ranking characters placement on my tier list, and adding them together, I managed to make the most wanted "Double Additions" to Smash. So, for example, Isaac was ranked 4th, and Little Mac 5th, so, I added their numbers together and Smaller Franchises got 9 points, the least amount of points out of all the franchises, making them the MOST WANTED DOUBLE ADDITION.

Going on, if we'd get Uprising-style banter in SSB4's Adventure Mode, Luigi should imitate Palutena by putting on black bandana and act "Mr.L". Mario would get quite uneasy.

Maybe for another idea, Luigi gets captured, and Medusa brainwashes him into thinking that he's Mr. L. During that point, he serves the villains until the heroes side restores his memory.

You know, a Mr. L alternate outfit for Luigi would be an amusing addition.

It's just a thought. In fact, maybe Dimentio might get some involvement, seeing as he does use Luigi (while in his Mr. L alter ego state) to become Super Dimentio. This would result in not only a boss fight, but when Super Dimentio is defeated, Luigi would regain his memory, and fight alongside the heroes again.

Yes, Slippy is the second-most wanted Star Fox character with 42 votes whereas Krystal has 325 votes. I wouldn't say it's very impressive of Slippy.

Mewtwo may have 341 votes but he's not a newcomer. He's a veteran. That makes Zoroark the most-wanted Pokemon newcomer with 180 votes... and Meowth is the second most-wanted Pokemon newcomer with 157 votes. It's a better margin compared to Slippy and Krystal.

Perhaps your right. Everything doesn't have to be 100% canon in Smash. I'd would prefer him over Andrew.
