Regarding character moveset
I see there being two main things to it.

Distinction- Characters' having movesets that are distinct to games they been in. Things that most people think about when making a character moveset. An example being, Link's Skyward Strike. That move is distinct from a game that most people would recognize or call iconic.

Creation- LOL didn't really have a better word to describe my thought process. This is where characters like Fox, Captain Falcon, etc. just have made up moves cleverly disguised borrowed moves. This factor is the reason any character can have a moveset. Long as someone can punch or kick, give the character to someone with a little creativity and the character will come back with a moveset.

In my opinion I rather characters with more of distinction instead of creation. I love it when I see a character that holds moves relative to their respective gaming series. This is one of the reason I'm severely disappointed in Sonic's moveset. No Light Dash, No Bounce Attack? I say, the more distinction you can give a character in the moveset the better. There's nothing wrong with creativity though.

I don't see her being slow and powerful. Besides, there's more than a few ways to make a character. I think Rosalina was made heavy because she's the tallest of all the girls.
Have you seen her freaking staff? Her attacks involving PHYSICALLY hitting someone with her staff, and her walking/running seems like it would be slow.

You guys could always just compensate by doing this.

Slow start-up, fast slow-down. So, she's vunerable trying to start attacks but has low recovery time giving her a chance to defend if she whiffed a move/move away/start a new attack

Herp, I'm going to play it but even after looking at all the spoilers and playthroughs I like Magnus.

Oh which reminds me using a sword as a reflector like a lightsaber? So fresh. Someone make a Magnus moveset with that feature in there.

So essentially make his sword also work like a Club weapon for some moves, right?
Genius.

EDIT: Chapter 18 denounces whatever argument you have for Palutena for me, Pieman.
I don't care that she's a boss, I don't care if she had some fighting prowess in an OVA, playable Magnus beats that in my eyes.

I actually liked using the dog a bit more. Its like unlimited dash all the time, mang.

Also you should probably spoiler all that.

But seriously, did you play the game? You guys really have to play it before coming to these conclusions. Palutena's constantly there, and she's really enjoyable too. Magnus is nearly a bit character, and he's technically got less screen time/importance than another playable character who isn't Pit
(kinda)
. :glare:

EDIT: Oh yeah, but his theme is boss....but so are a lot of other songs in the game!

Magnus could keep Ikes playstyle while Ike himself gets a slight power nerf and a projectile sword wave attack. Or get removed?

Ganondorf can now also become a Magnus clone lol

I honestly didn't really care for Ike so if he gets replaced with Magnus then so be it.

:phone:
But to ask; is that really worth it?

I've often said that Marth and Ike are the most prominent of their respective series. The bond could last another game with an added Krom, but I think it's a bit too early to say that.
