Another Pokemon-based area I'd like to see is an area based around Thundurus, Tornadus, Landorus, where they took turns flying through causing Lightning Storms, Tonadoes, and either Sandstorms or just calming things down, possibly making plants grow.

Why i want rosalina?

Well we need more femmale chearacters we have more guys than girls!

Yeah bowser jr could be a nice add but lol thats not my point..

Rosalina has been in 3 games all ready super mario galaxy 1 and 2 and in mario kart wii so i cant see why on earth she could not fit in ssb 4:D

Id like to see krystal i think she would be a good add as well:)
Yes we do but Rosalina is not the answer.

Well we need more villains too...

Both Bowser Jr and Toad have been in plenty more games then she has been in and therefore more representative of the franchise. However, IMHO we don't really need anymore Mario characters. There's already four for the core series and 3 from franchises that had originated from the Mario series (DK, Wario, Yoshi). If anything you can add Captain Syrup. She is the villain of some Wario games.

Sure.

Jiro would be a nice "WTF" character that no one was expecting for SSB4, but I think he'll be a character for the 3DS. That said, now I'm interested in seeing him in.

@Starphoenix (#793): That's a really good point here, it's just that I'm not sure which character would fit into the Super Smash Bros. universe. I would say Medusa, but then again, I'm not familiar with the Kid Icarus universe. It's also one of the few universes I would surely say will have new characters on both the Wii-U and 3DS. So I'll wait to see what they cook up and go from there. But I think Palutena's best involvement in Smash will be Pit's Final Smash, so in that case, either Medusa or Manus.

Being female is not a reason for putting a character into Brawl. There are much more suited female characters to be in the game, like Saki and one of Lyn and Micaich (What's her name again? I can't seem to remember it). Give us a moveset of some sort or please drop your idea of having Rosalina in the game.

I think we'll get somewhere between one and four more in Smash. The four most likely candidates are Medusa, Ridley, Bowser Jr., and King K. Rool.

The problem with King K Rool as a villain is that in the Japanese lore, all 3 incarnations of K Rool were different people. This had to do with some kind of translation problem because in the one made by RARE (Who are english) K Rool is insane and has a sort of multiple personality disorder. That limits moves he can have as well as personality

With the Japanese now in control of K Rool, they turned him into a generic villain (Not that he had that much of a personality to begin with

idk about you, but if all the villains we ever got from now on were those four? I'd have no problems. At all.\

Oh, and just because I want to make fun of stupid people who whiz into this thread:

MEDUSA CANT HAPPENASZZ!!!! SHES WEIGH TO BIG!! SHEZ LIEK 50 STOREEZ TAWL IN TEH KED EHKARUSS TRAYLOR!!!!!!!@2121!! /troll

<_< I had to get that out of my system.

He's a 3rd party character, and not one of the more popular ones, so his chances are slim to none.
I want to mention that the 3rd party that owns Rayman is Ubisoft, who worked on the Wii-U with Nintendo

Every series need to have at least one major villain from it.

I actually want a good single player mode as well, and having a villain from every series would do it wonders.

If nothing else, add more characters, maybe single player exclusives. Much like boss battles.
Exactly!

Too many protagonist and not enough antogonist, each series would be better represented, examples:

Fire Emblem: Ashnard, Black Knight
Metroid: Ridley? Dark Samus (no clone)
F-Zero: Black Shadow
DK: Ridley
Mario: Wart

yea, I know Bowser already represents it, but a second bad boy wouldn't hurt the series at all.

You must REALLY want Ridley to have him represent the DK villain as well as the Metroid

On the actual hardware or just games? If it's the latter then yeah, slim to none. Note I said SLIM. He does have a chance but a very small one.

I looked at that Amarillo link, never knew he existed but like Ulti mentioned a frak accident between Crash and Sonic = Awesome
UBERMario. UltiMario is a different person entirely. :p

It would be even better if your music could be heard by the opponent too.
Then people would just keep using inappropriate music, we don't want to have one feature cost SSB it's T-rating. There's a reason that custom emblems were only used in MKDS and not in MKWii, and it should be obvious why. *shudders*

Custom music offline? Hell yeah. Online? No.

With the popularity of comic book characters these days, I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai talked Marvel into letting them use a character. Captain America perhaps?
... I'd rather see Taokaka. And honestly, she's more likely.

Warning! Challenger Very detailed and semi-fact driven post approaching!

I have to say, normally Nintendo will add one of their newest franchises to their Smash games. But if you look at the list of Nintendo franchises, the latest one is still kinda Pikmin.

I mean there's Brain Age & Touch! Generations, but that's literally it. And aside from maybe Trauma Center, no games of those franchises stand a chance of being in Brawl.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nintendo_franchises

So in terms of real Nintendo franchises that haven't had a playable character in a Smash title yet, we're looking at:

Animal Crossing
Custom Robo
Famicom Wars (Advance Wars)
Golden Sun
Punch-Out!!
Sin & Punishment
Trauma Center
Wii Series (Basically just Miis)
and...well Smash Bros itself. (No original character from the Smash series has been playable i.e. Primids)

So for new non-3rd Party series, that's what we're looking at, people.

Sakurai did specifically mention a 50 character roster, so assuming all characters except Lucario, Ice Climbers, & maybe Ike will still exist in some form (looking at you Zelda series) that 13 free character slots. (assuming PT still counts as 4 & Zelda/Samus count as 2) Many people complain about the current roster, but let's face it, the Brawl roster is a VERY solid roster as far as Nintendo Reps go with very few characters that can even possibly be cut.

Sonic & Snake aren't going anywhere due to Sega & Konami's extremely close ties to Nintendo. I'm sure Capcom's going to get in on Smash with either Mega Man or Ryu because they're just as close as Sega if not closer. (Just looks at all the Mega Man games in the past years) Smash & Capcom's fighters have never exactly clashed as far as sales go due to their vastly different audiences so I can't see much of a reason they wouldn't participate.

My assumption as far as Nintendo characters go is that Golden Sun will get Issac as a rep, Punch-Out!! may get Little Mac as a rep, and Sin & Punishment may get a rep as well, but that's about it for new Nintendo franchises to the series. Animal Crossing's humans are far too customizable and that's always been their appeal and it just wouldn't be anywhere near as personal with preset Smash costumes. Same goes for Miis since team costumes mean that a Mii will have to either have at least 3 costumes per Mii which is just a little too much. And if it's set to just use one Mii, it kind of takes the point out of the character in multiplayer as your friends that main Mii will have to play as your Mii. Custom Robos are just far too small to be a character and again you lose the "Custom" from Custom Robo if you just use one model. I can see a commander from Advance Wars being in game as a character that has sort of a nerfed, but permanent Super Scope for a gun, but it's a little unlikely.

Now for new characters for returning franchises I'm basically thinking:
- Zoroark or Emolga (Replacing Lucario)
- New Fire Emblem Character. (I don't know enough about FE to know if Ike's still the new kid on the block)
- King K.Rool
- Zelda: Skyward Sword Villain (Assuming it's not Ganondorf)
- Paper Mario
- Prince Fluff (Kirby Franchise)
Add the New Franchises & 3rd Party characters I mentioned earlier:
- Issac (Golden Sun)
- Little Mac (Punch-Out!!)
- Isa Amamiya (Sin & Punishment ; Saki's Son)
- Mega Man or Ryu (Capcom)

That's only 10 characters, but that's just how solid the Smash roster is already. Most of the characters that DESERVE to be in Smash 4 are already in Brawl. Gotta give Sakurai credit there.

Not going to get into Stages since Sakurai was talking about doubling the stage roster making it...freaking crazy, but there ya go. That's my educated assumption on the Smash 4 character roster.

It's never going to happen, this isn't Marvel vs. Nintendo.

Yup. Comic book heroes (along with anime/manga characters) have no place in the Super Smash Bros. series. Period.

And I don't see what the obsession with adding random one time appearing villains from long series like Mario and Zelda is. It's not going to happen.

@OmegaXVII: Why would you want Wart in the game? He doesn't make much sense to me.
@RVD_Fan: There will be no mention of comic book characters in the game whatsoever. It's not going to happen, at least be somewhat realistic with your predictions.

Hell no, there is already a large cast of Nintendo characters for Sakurai to draw from plus 3rd party characters that have actually originated from video games and appear on Nintendo consoles. Comic book characters = highly unnecessary.

Which are not video games.

Your own music for Smash would surely raise the bar, making for enjoyable and fun experience, hech even throw some Street Fighter themes and pretend...

:phone:

But in all seriousness, I'd love to throw in Street Fighter, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear and Tekken 3 music.

Hatsune Miku's Yukkuri. That's some high-pitched obnoxiousness after about two minutes. xD
This is more obnoxious:

It's a shame really because Nintendo has created new franchises this generation like Captain Rainbow, Zangeki no Reginleiv, Xenoblade and The Last Story, full of potential smashers... but most of these games are not coming out of Japan.

And so do these characters ^^^^

It doesn't matter that they are Japan only. Look at Marth, Roy, and Lucas.

EDIT: The Last Story and Zangeki no Reginleiv are 3rd parties. :\

Cowboy armadillo?

You guys are really banking on that series taking off and becoming big before SSB4, aren't you? Don't count on it. You guys are hyping up the idea way too much.
