ANYWAYS, I'm hoping K. Rool, Junior, and a Wario character make it in. (That makes twenty I think) But knowing Ninty, we'll get Junior, Waluigi, and Diddy.
I hope not. They've given us such crazy choices already, I want to see how much crazier they can get, lol. Maybe Rex from Super Mario World. That Double Dash dinosaur track will be his home course.

Totally maining Metal Mario. SH'UP, you can totally do that in Mario Kart.

I almost want to make a moveset for Metal Mario... :awesome:

The Donkey Kong from the arcade game grew up to be Cranky Kong. He somehow had a kid who was called Donkey Kong Jr, who grew into being the Donkey Kong we know and love today.

Kinda wish ninty didn't make it annoying
But if it's a great grandfather...

GEEZ, BROSERKER. HAVE A BIT OF IMAGINATION.

He would have Tin Foil, not a cape. Huge difference.
Neutral B is based on the laws of science

Forward B... Yeah. Tin foil. It will encage enemies for 1 or 2 seconds.

Downward B.... Weight? Metal Mario stomps on the ground causing a huge earthquake?

Upward B, Of course, Metal jump punch

Metal Mario needs to be Metal Luigified :troll:
i hope people are joking about metal mario as a character. it's not like Paper Mario or even Dr Mario, like he's in his own game or something. It's Mario with a power up. A power up that is already in the smash games.

I think Penguin Mario and Boomerang Mario should be playable. Penguin Mario is da bess Mario costume, and Boomerang Mario is the most recent (as of Super Mario 3D Land). Tanooki Suit Mario is deserving too because it is both retro and recent.

The Amount of Waluigi and Paper Mario support on GameFAQs scares me. Since WHEN have they been better choices than Toad and Junior. I hate so many things about that place.

No Rosalina and E. Gadd support?
I know. I was hoping for idiots of the highest calibur, but no....we got the run of the mill ones.

Rationally, people are going to vote for the new guy, at certain limits. Paper Mario is a successful RPG, coming in with a new game for the 3DS. It's been like that for a long time. As for Waluigi...

Didn't know what I said wrong, but ok.
Paper Mario is a successful game. And Everyone likes it. And obviously there are going to be SSB fans who like it too. They vote for him. Nuff said. Waluigi, he fails. <Opinion matters.
Also, I see no wrong with Paper Mario. Something that's like G&W? Meh, I care less either way.

You worded that sentence like Omega would, and that doesn't make him a good choice. That's why I have a problem with people supporting him in such numbers. At least here, we have a balance, there....it's terrible.

We have Mario. People need to wise up and see that we don't need a Link mistake T_T

Also, if people like the optioned character alot, they will vote for them (Example: Deoxys < Lucario)

I really don't have a problem with Paper Mario support. Although I agree that the Waluigi support is just silly. One member (MrSpacelySlate) thinks he's a shoe-in and by far the best choice. And yes, there are Rosalina supporters, you just have to do some digging.

I don't understand people's logic, anymore, man... Isn't the Mario series just fine the way it is? What if, say, they added Toad and he failed on there? Fans would get upset over it. That's why I think the Pokemon reps are 100% gamble. Pichu? Lost gamble. Which is why I support Victini, because I'm addicted to gambling

Failed on what?

Yes. There would be fans that would be upset over the addition but there will be fans who would be neutral or happy.

Failed, like for example, moveset, power, etc. Or maybe even just being on there. Maybe some will like him, but it's very possible for alot of haters. Not directing just to Toad, but to everyone. It seems Pichu and Charizard show that simple fact very much.

The only option that yields no fan joy is the most conservative one. Why would it be logical not to add a new Mario character?

Think about it. What if he's a clone of Mario? What if a Link clone happens again? We can't say that about Luigi (Derp).

It just comes to show that fanbase is powerful. Obviously, you say. But just how strong is the question? We'll find out the answer depending on who gets in. Say the same to Stages and Music selections.

I doubt Toad would be a clone of Mario or Bowser.

Anyway, as to why I feel the franchise should get another rep, it's because it has a few decent choices left and very high demand oversea for another character. Since Sakurai looks to the West for them, I would be surprise to not see a fifth rep.

I would rather a clone than nothing.

However, I'm speaking for any new additions here. Toad is unlikely to be a clone. Bowser Junior would be luigified AT THE WORST SCENARIO, and Paper Mario could end up as a clone.

All of these are better than no inclusions.

Speaking of Paper Mario, my bad.
But as for Toad, Peach kinda then needs to get a new (B) move. Better be something to do with her rage on Super Princess Peach...

IF is a strong word here. We nvr said "What IF Snake got in?", But obviously someone DID. And it happened. ROB is the same.

@asage94: Toad wouldn't need a new B set. They could simply switch him with Toadster and give Toad a spot.

Well, if Toad is a clone (Which is unlikely), I'm hoping the color of his fireball is blue (Or maybe you can just make it into an ice flower).

I still prefer Toad not being a clone of course.

Your point?

@SSBF: Or even easier. Just leave the neutral B of Peach alone. There's more than one Toad anyway.

Why does Peach need a new B move? That is and has always been poor reasoning.
At least remix it a little bit. Toad coming out would make no sense (I know there is more then one Toad, but still).

It would also confuse those who have not played Mario. They do exist, ya know :awesome:

I'm not a genius, but I'm going to say for a fact that no one expected ROB. So that leads on to another question: Who could we see but not see at the same time? (Master Cheif...)

@asage94: I don't see why people have a hard time envisioning Peach getting a new B move. Smash moves can be changed, and do not need to be the same in every installment. Toadsworth, the parasol from SPP, even her vibe powers can all do her some justice. Even with that, she could still keep Toad as a move as there is more than one Toad again.

Toad as a clone seems unlikely to me. He is an entirely different character from the Mario Bros., and it would be awkward for the developers to make him as a clone as a result of his different appearance. The reason Bowser Jr. could be a clone is due to him being very similar to Baby Bowser and his attitude of being just like his father. Paper Mario on the other hand can perform all of regular Mario's moves and is virtually the same character.

I didn't say Toad was a clone, I just said that above T_T
But, yeah, Mario series hasn't changed for awhile, and to full honest opinion, probably won't

Alright it took me a while but here's my latest moveset.

Palutena

Attributes:Palutena is a lightweight character with a weight similar to Z.S. Samus (32nd, 81). Her size is quite large and is around Ganondorf's size. Being in a dress as well her walking speed is close to Zelda's (36th). While, surprisingly her dash speed is close to Lucario's (22nd). Falling Speed is the same as Samus's (37th). And her air speed is the same as Marth (11th).

Playstyle: Palutena can be played in many different ways. Her great projectiles can allow her to have great spacing potential especially when combined with her amazing but limited D-Special for defense; which can also be used for her offensive and approach. Her throws and aerial game are better than most characters, and she has one of the best recoveries in the game. She, however, is quite floaty and is a lightweight character meaning she is quite easy to kill. She also has slightly less kill moves than most characters as well. There is no real distinct way to play as her.
Entrance - Floats down in a beam of light.

Neutral Special - Light Ball - stops, waves her staff and it launches the ball end at the opponent. When it connects it causes the opponent to fall into a dazed state. It is chargeable and the charge can be held. The longer it's charged the longer the daze state, but the hit box and size are fixed. It does not cause a daze state when the opponent is in the air, but it does cause the opponent to flinch like any other projectile. Does 5%, 13% when fully charged.

Side Special - Centurion - Similar to Pit's FS, it summons just one Centurion that homes in on an opponent. It can be attacked. Only 2 can be summoned at the same time. Is a good follow up to Light ball. Is one of her few killing moves. Does 20% per hit.

Up Special - Miracle of Flight - Gain the ability to fly similar to MvC’s flying moves. It therefore does not have any startup lag and you can attack during it. It lasts for 3.5 seconds, but like R.O.B.’s Up-Special you have a re-charge time of 2.5 seconds. If it expires mid-air it leaves you in a helpless state. Being attacked during the duration of the move does not leave you in a helpless state. It can also be shielded out of.

Down Special - Crystal Rod - Based the Crystal Rod item from the first 2 KI games. Palutena waves her staff and creates 2 clone orbs. Two orbs rotate around her in a 360 motion doing damage with no knockback while also blocking projectiles that make contact with the orbs. Every 2 hits by the orbs causes the opponent to flinch. It can stay out as long as her damage % does not exceed 50%. It is a mix of Vergil’s swords and Stirder’s Ouroboros Hypers from MvC. Does not do extra damage when throwing, nor does it do damage to an opponent's shield. Does 4% per hit.

Final Smash - Burst of Light
- She slams her staff onto the ground, the screen flashes and it puts opponents into a stunned state if they're on the ground while putting air born opponents in a helpless state. Does 30% to all opponents.

AAA - She raises her palm out and releases a burst of light. Think Mewtwo's AAA. It has a slightly disjointed hit box. Does 5% on the first hit, 2% on each hit thereafter.
Forward Tilt - swings her arm and her shield strikes the opponent. It has good knockback. It has the best knockback of her tilts. Does 10%.
Up Tilt - Raises her arm in the air and bonks the opponent with her shield. Good for Juggling. Does 9%
Down Tilt - Kneels down and strikes the opponent with her foot. Think Zelda's D-Tilt but with slightly longer range (she’s taller than her).Does 7-8%.
Dash Attack - does a slide similar to Mario's dash, it has a very laggy end and it slides her forward. Does 8%.

Neutral Air - Spins her staff for a full body attack, similar to Ike's N-Air. It has average knockback. Does 9%.
Forward Air - leans forward and swings her arm to hit the opponent with her shield. One of her few kill moves. Does 11%.
Up Air - looks up and flips herself upside-down to hit the opponent vertically with her shield. Good for Juggling. Does 9%.
Down Air - a standard dive kick. Does 9%.
Back Air - Swings her arm back and hits the opponent with her shield. Average knockback. Does 12%

Forward Smash - Palutena's version of Cap's "Charging Star." It has Super Armor like Wario's Forward Smash and it also goes farther as well. It has poor knockback for a Smash attack. Very little start up lag. Does 17-19%.
Up Smash - Raises her staff up and the ball explodes in a burst of light. Has a slightly disjointed hit box. Is one of her few kill moves. Does 16-20%
Down Smash - Raises her staff and slams it on the ground, creating a small shockwave that hit in front and behind. Causes large horizontal knockback making it one of her few kill moves. Does 15%-18%.

Pummel - Hits the opponent with her knee. Does 3%.
Forward Throw - Throws the opponent up at a 45 degree angle, waves her staff and causes a small explosion of light to send the opponent flying further. Has the best knockback of her throws. Does 5% for the throw, 7% for the explosion.
Up Throw - Throws the opponent up at a 90 degree angle, waves her staff and causes a small explosion of light to send the opponent flying further. Above average knockback. Does 5% for the throw, 7% for the explosion.
Down Throw - Does a short hop, leans down and blasts the opponent with the ball end of her staff into the ground. It launches the opponent vertically. Does 10%.
Back Throw - Throws the opponent up at a 135 degree angle, waves her staff and causes a small explosion of light to send the opponent flying further. Above average knockback. Does 5% for the throw, 7% for the explosion.

Other:
Shield - Like Link, in idle animation she can block projectiles with her shield.

Taunts:
1. Winks to the players off screen.
2. Spins her staff playfully.
3. She glows and emits light.

Costumes:
Blue - Original Design
Grey - OM&M Design
Black - Fallen Angel
Gold
Green
Red

Kirby Hat:
Gains her hair and head piece

Pros:
Easy to rack up damage with
Good mix-ups
Amazing Projectiles
Great Recovery
Good Throws
Good Aerials

Cons:
Lightweight
Floaty
Few kill moves
Poor ground game

Even Toad being a clone would be exciting and fresh.

Up B: Super Jump - Toad does his version of a Super Jump, probably covering less vertical distance but more horizontal distance, and being more powerful.

B: Ice Ball - Ice effect on a hit, slightly more flinching effect. Rolls along the ground more than bouncing, falls at a slower trajectory than Mario's.

Side B: Toad Missile? I'm actually at a loss as to how Toad's Side B COULD be a cloned move.

Down B: Spin Jump? I guess? Honestly if Toad gets in he will not be a clone.
