Wow looks good! I didn't know there was so many problems with the current version of Shoddy though, it seemed fine to me...

The server listing will be done through http so essentially it will not go down ever.

Shoddy Battle 2 supports both singles and doubles battles, as well as a more general mode that is not technically pokemon where you can have any number of pokemon out at one time (up to six). For example, you could play triples.

Awesome. It won't be out for a few months though - it'll be after the '09 VGC, but, knowing Nintendo, they'll do it next year as well. I'm starting to get interested in doubles, and it should be fun to play them more often.

Yes, that's him.

I remember him saying that he gave up on Pokemon, though, and moved on to Brawl. Pokemon was too shallow or something.

Shoddy battle 2 seems awesome and I'm liking the idea's they have so far.

I know - I was referring to practicing for double battles (which is the format of the VGC.) The only way I'm currently able to play that way is in the Plat Battle Tower, and, well, that's not a very good way to learn.

Supposedly Netbattle (which was upgraded for D/P) supports the double battle feature, but as was the case on my old comp, I can't connect to any of the servers. I'm not entirely sure why.

That's one of my pet peeves about Shoddy. But I've only used it like.... five times.

Anyways, 6v6 seems... broken, kinda. Flash Fire / Volt Absorb / Water Absorb kind of break it.
