We'll do a tourney for B tierish players and then the top B tier players can challenge the A tiers.

We have a new A-tier, no B-tier yet, and some probable changes to Lower S-High A. I think Star King mentioned this some posts back? Dont know but what do you guys think?

If it were completely up to me I'd have frog and Jaime down in A tier. Jaime would be at the very top with frog and Star King next.

Explanation: I've played vs frog and Jaime a lot. They're certainly two of the top players but I don't think they're at a whole other tier level. Maybe put them in an A+ tier within regular A tier or something. Star King is about equal with frog and Jaime also.


Gav's B tier looks pretty good. I haven't played vs some of those people recently though.

hmm, jaime seems a bit better than everyone in A tier even tho u beat him in a tourney (hes only lost in a tourney 3 times to someone other than malva or boomfan since smashboards tourneys began), but for the most part i think hes better than A tier players and should be in a higher tier. I havnt played frogles in 6 months so i dont know how good he is now but when i played him also seemed a bit better than A tier players, maybe that has changed.

That's why I mentioned an A+ tier within A tier. To signify that there is a small skill gap, but I don't think it's big enough to justify another tier for anyone outside of malva and boom.

It's just hard for me to envision players being in a higher tier If I can go into a tourney match and have 50/50 shot (or very close to it) of taking the set from them. Which is how I feel about anyone outside of malva and boom.

That may be true, there are always exceptions.

For instance, I'd be less confident going into a tourney match vs Killer than I would vs like half of A tier. Because he plays realllyyyy gay and also my worst matchup (Kirby). Maybe I'm the exception for Jaime, who knows.

But yah that's why tier lists aren't made from one person's opinion. It's still worth throwing my opinion out there anyway, even if no one else agrees.

I dunno about high/mid/low B.

I say we just make a B tier and lump everyone who's B into it. We more or less know who we're talking about here.

It'd be too hard to split it in three, because a bunch of people (myself included) wouldn't be able to help putting up a hissy fit about how they can beat X, Y, and Z, at which point you get a bunch of unresolvable conflicts of opinion that only a couple of people are qualified to say anything about.

Can't really say how good Jaime is because I've barely ever played him + I get like 5 frames with him so it's not really fun for me

other than sheer, is there anyone thats played me somewhat recently and has any input on where i should go? for what its worth sheer and i usually go 50-50. he does better against me than anyone that isn't boom/isai...but then again i havent played most of the a tier guys in a while.

i think i play falcon pretty well. excluding pika/kirby hes prob top 3 with fox and mario. against sheer i tend to stick with ness because i like the yoshi and fox matchups + he probably could use more work than those other 3.

This might sound weird, but I think you have a very polarizing style. Like, you counter some styles very well and do poorly against others. Or something.

Nah. You might think that 'cuz I did well against you once, but you were just having a ****ty day. Or because I used to beat surri consistently, but then like Nova and whoever else did it too. Plus like thegreginator beat sheer 8-2, so it's not just me. I think it's sheer's style, personally.

Greginator beat me 7-3 in a fox challenge all on dreamland with pikachu. In a rematch I'd be confident I could flip that score. For the most part I've always had a huge advantage vs greginator in our friendlies.

I would say my only weaknesses in this game are Kirby and Falcon. Certain Falcon and Kirby styles I struggle with. Kirby more so because there are Falcon styles out there that I seem to pwn.
