David, that is the opposite of how it works
You seed players according to rough ranking. So Casey and I shouldn't be in the same bracket.
basically, you give everyone a ranking
(not exactly like this, but the general idea)

Then you set it up so that Player 1 should play player 2 in the finals (aka opposing brackets)
So in winners quarters, #1 plays #8, #2 plays #7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5. Then winner of 1/8 plays winner of 3/4 and winner of 2/7 plays 5/6, then those 2 winners play in finals
The way you have it, All the good players will play each other early
