or a tier for for your ego.... I mean for a person who supposedly doesnt care about the list you are quite insistent, are you dont come off in a positive or constructive way at all. so yea either you dont care or should refrain from such asinine commentary.
I agree with this 100%. M2K if you don't care, act like it. The level that u are put in for NJ is Top there is no point to giving you your own personalized color. Although yes there could be a set GROUP for you if the list was the Nation or the World, but it's not. And you alone is not a group. Take your ego and shove it.

or we could do...

Crybabie - Players that are out of everyone's league, and cry about tiers that already display they are the best of NJ. It's almost like a kid complaining he got a 99 on a test, because the question he missed was a technical error. We already know that kid is the best, but he just needs to be a little baby about something that shouldn't even need to support your ego in the first place. The person for this color should be PURPLE

wow no, i do not like power rankings list, however, if you are going to have a list, you might as well have it done right. supposedly people on the same tier are supposed to have equal or close to equal skill which i SURE HOPE is the reason to have tiers instead of number rankings, and i do not believe any of this state to be near equal to me in skill, so i asked for my own tier. Don't be such a *****. While it is true that I don't support the list, and I don't care much if there is one, if you are going to have one, I do care if it's accurate. If you are to measure in tiers then that means the people on the same tier is close in skill to the other, which isn't true. If you're going to have tiers you should group me alone, or not have tiers at all. It's like grouping PC in a tier tied with a bunch of other people in NY when he's clearly a lot better than everyone there.

Also I am very honest about what I believe, and i have the right to be cocky in this. I'm merely speaking my mind and the blatant truth.

Umm you do realize the color coordination system was for the smash player list so they know what "group" the person is in, so they would likely meet up and try to play players of their level etc. This idea is independent of the power ranking list, its just a more advanced version of lks original bold and italics system. Again before making such statements and assumptions please be sure you know what you are talking about cause....well yea...

MewTwoKing... You do NOT understand the concept. If the state of NJ was split into two groups Novice vs Experienced. Which group would u make? The SECOND one. These groups are MERELY Divisions of people of different skill level.

The first one is for players that still don't know technical moves.
The second is ones that use them but dont place high in tourny.
The third is ones that place high.

The FOURTH (top players) skill level are players that rank FIRST in tournaments. So your UP somewhere therefor you are in that category.

It's not a hard concept... look at it as if it were numbers
1-5 = noob
6-10 = novice
11-15 = intermediate
16++ = professional

Should I make a bar graph... or maybe a pie chart will be more suitable?

I could take noobs that barely know what the buttons do, on THEIR OWN TIER... BECAUSE that's IDENTICAL to what you are saying with yourself but reversed in looking at which teir to divide. Except it doesnt matter so I didn't make it a group. Just like the "M2K group" doesnt matter. You are in terms of those numbers somewhere in 16++. Congradulations.

Now once you UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT.... THEN YOU CAN ARGUE

Shut up, Jason. Stop being a douchebag.

IMO, Dave is near your silly super saiyan power level of 9,000. He's much better than you give him credit for.

Ryoko is also amazing.

The fact that you feel insulted by being put in the same category as Ryoko and Dave shows how arrogant you are. It's not honesty anymore. Just because you honestly believe something doesn't make it any less cocky or offensive.

I would be extremely honoured to be in the same category as Dave and Ryoko.

-Top Players: M2K, Dave, RyokoYaksa
-Players to Beat: WoZ, Lord Knight, Reik, Inui, Sensei, AlexTriad(I may have missed a few people)
-Tournament Players: This list is really big and would include all known competitors that do decently, like Emblem Lord and RaptorHawk.
-Unknowns: People that aren't known yet, simple.

Wow guys, way for everyone to miss the point.

Let's stop arguing about this dumb **** first, how about that. We don't need to have some kind of S-tier player/A-tier player bull**** and it shouldn't have been even considered or discussed after Jason mentioned it. We know he's number 1, so he gets the number 1 spot on the list. Whoever we vote for number 2 (which would hopefully be the second best), gets the number two spot. Simple as that. If he lived in a state that only had 4 players total, and the other 3 are noobs, the second best would still be number 2. Let's not let this get out of hand. :(

My suggestion wasnt actually number ranking. Just group ranking. This way people knows who they can play in their group to get proper practice. I'm really not shooting for anything to support egos. I know I'm getting better, and I want to know where I can get practice in my own level. I dont want to waste someone's time who is much better than me or much worse than me where we arent getting as good as practice if we were to play with someone near our level. With this list, I can look for all other "Orange" players, use the contact information listed, then see if they would like to play sometime.

And before people say I'm garbage and shouldn't be considered a top player in this state...

I will say this once, and then try my best to not brag or mention this anymore.

I've accomplished stuff now; good placings in teams and singles, beating good people like LK, WoZ, Ace Marth, Cactuar, and ChaosKnight, etc. I think I have a right, at the very least, to call myself good/above average at this point. =/ No, I don't think I'm better than everyone I beat; Cactuar is better than me, for instance. I just think I can say I'm good now. Just good. Nothing amazing like M2K or top notch like Ryoko/Dave, but good.

@LK: Isn't it redundant to have "Section: Central Jersey" under each individual person in Central Jersey when you already have everyone grouped by region?

I doubt LK has every county in NJ memorized and so it's probably easier for him to do it this way.

LK's new format doesn't have anything to do with counties. He asked everyone to specify their region (North, South, etc.) and that's it. I realize that it's easy to just copy and paste... but I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask him to delete a line from everyone's information to keep the list more compact.

I like Inui's system better. It's much simpler. We can just have Normal People (MARTH<3er1234) Intermediates (Emblem Lord, JFox), Players to Beat (WoZ, Inui) and Top Players (M2K, Ryoko). Normal People will be people who are just coming into the scene, Intermediate's are just people we know, Players to Beat are the more recognized players in our state and others, and top players are well. . . top. :p

EDIT: Reik, I'm too lazy to take that out. Oh well.

Here is my amazing idea for what categories we should have

People who throw less than 10 projectiles a match

People who throw between 10-20 projectiles a match

People who throw between 21-30 projectiles a match

People who throw between 31-49 projectiles a match

People who throw 50+ projectiles a match

I don't deserve to be in the same category as Emblem Lord. He's better than me by a lot.

WoZ Edit: WoZ is a failure at merging posts, especially when they're from two different people.

This is Alex Triad's post:

I thought this was supposed to be updated every sunday. I could be wrong.
