New characters?

A simple question just for fun If nintendo would make a new smash melee (smash melee 2) who would you add as a character? I tough about megaman even if he is from Capcom he would be a nice samus' clone.

I don't think any developer would go through all the trouble of being allowed to include a third party character into their game just to not give them an original move set.

But why not? Of course this game is incredible and perfect but some change wouln't hurt anybody? I think that adding characters would simply add styles of fighting, styles of characters (for those who care about the look ) and maybe some new tech that are use only by some characters ( example of double jump cancel for ness and others) And i'm sure it would boost the melee scene so it would be shiny as before

There's already a model and texture hack of Samus, one-slot.

This reminds me of the custom stages a member here has created. I find them really fun to play and it's a new challenge to understand how the characters I play work on the stage and learning matchups on the stage. It would be pretty awesome if we were eventually able to create custom characters in melee.

I would really like to see a four swords version of link (Kind of like an ice climbers idea), Nayru, Din, and Farore that you could transform between.

you're all forgetting about vampires and vampire slayers. Two easily unique characters, Richter Belmont and Alucard, capes and whips included. throw in mike tyson or the main guy from super punch out for ****s and giggles.

Fox and Falco would make awesome characters. Since they usually fight in space they should have really floaty physics.
