Saki and Isaac are my two most wanted characters and I've had some moveset ideas for a while, so I'll post them here just 'cause.

Isaac:
  • Neutral B - Froth Spiral: Basically Mewtwo's nair, but with water and bubbles. And you can do all that special-only AT with it. Works as a combo-extender and shield-pressure tool. Could also think of it as a stationary Mach Tornado.
  • Side B - Mother Earth: Makes a stalagmite in front and smashes it with Gaia's Axe. Like Charizard's Rock Smash from Brawl, but with better range. The stalagmite becomes a boulder if used in the air. Mid-range shield-pressure tool.
  • Up B - Planet Diver: Shoots upwards with an explosion. Can be angled horizontally and has decent knockback in the initial frames. Like Snake's C4 recovery without the self-damage. Goes into special fall.
  • Down B - Briar: Sends a briar through the ground. It emerges close to Isaac or further away depending on whether you tilt/smash the control stick. So, like Eddy's drill from Guilty Gear, but without the multi-hitting. Quickly whips the briar below Isaac if done in the air. Combo tool or risky neutral option.
  • Normals - Gaia Blade and Gaia's Axe: Some of Isaac's normals use his sword, Gaia Blade, while some use his axe, Gaia's Axe. They have different sweet/sourspot setups. The sword is mostly even throughout, so it's good for consistent combos. The axe is meant to close out stocks, and deals greater knockback, but only if you hit with the blade.
  • Final Smash - Grand Gaia: Supercharged, explosive, earth-shattering version of DK's Down B.
  • Other Stuff: Don't know where you'd get voice clips for Isaac. He has a few in Brawl, but they're not enough. I can't think of what character he would be best cloned from, but they would need at least one article for Briar, so Ike's out of the question.
Saki:
  • Neutral B - Deflect: A laser-blade swing that reflects projectiles, just like in S&P. Saki's normals with the blade don't reflect, so this one has special GFX to indicate that it does.
  • Side B - Manual/Auto Fire: Fires three rapid-fire energy projectiles. Each causes 1% damage if the stick is smashed. If the stick is tilted, they become purple homing shots and deal 0.5% each. Neither type causes any knockback or hitstun. Used to force approaches or deal a bit of extra damage while the other player is offstage. This is basically a rapid-fire version of Samus' side smash with no knockback.
  • Up B - Teleport: Same idea as Mewtwo's, but always goes into special fall; however, it can be cancelled on reappearance with an air-dodge. Designed to allow unique platform movement when wavelanded.
  • Down B - Intercept: Counter similar to Melee Marth's. Knockback/damage are unaffected by what's being countered. On-hit IASA allows for followups. Punishable on whiff. Intended to start combos. Taken from Airan and Brad's sword duel in S&P.
  • Normals - Laser-Blade and Kicks: Normals consist of sword attacks and a few kicks. Kicks serve as combo tools. Sword attacks serve a variety of purposes (neutral tool, combo tool, finisher, etc.), but all deal poor damage/knockback unless sweetspotted at the inner half of the blade. In other words, Saki's sword is like Roy's in Melee, but longer. Not as long as the Saki assist trophy's sword, though, 'cause that would be ridiculous.
  • Final Smash - Call Airan: If Saki ends up in Project M, it would make sense to replace his assist trophy with Airan. This FS calls the Airan assist trophy for backup. As cool as Saki's transformation would be as a Final Smash, it'd likely require an extra character slot, so it's a no-go.
  • Other Stuff: Saki and Airan have a lot of voice clips from S&P that could be used (everything but the epilogue is fully voiced in English), but they're low quality, so they'd need some mastering to sound okay. Potential clone bases are restricted to characters with articles due to the gun special. ZSS seems like a good candidate.

I.. Guess we're all just gonna basically hibernate until Nintendo finishes up with the Smash Fighter Ballot to start voting on new PM characters?

no.

the PMDT have stated several times that if a character they add winds up also being Smash wii U DLC, that's not going to make them scrap their version of said character. Roy and Mewtwo are still here after all, i guess it's all dependent on who gets there first. remember to maintain their legal grey area, they are still only sticking to characters that are on the brawl disk in some form already.

thread is dead because we got some very interesting details leaked about some of the future plans for the roster, and it was unanimously agreed that the thread would be done over again once we get a new character release.

and with that said,

Dear PMDT,

I argue What Project M's roster needs is a character who uses nothing but a rocket launcher for everything. everything.
Incidentally, I have been playing Devil May Cry 4 - Special Edition since it's release.

Was that leak related to people expecting Knuckles or something

Okay, I know that it said "semi-clones/clones", but I'm still posting this.

Villager for Project M.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "You can't already, he's in Sm4sh already."

Well, he was in Brawl, too. If you play in Smashville at the right time, guess who will be watching you fight. A Villager with... A weird head.

"As P:M cannot use the Villager because of SSB4" Wrong. He was in Brawl first, so the PMBR can use him, right?

As for the clone thing... Think about it. Villager can be made based off Ness' model. He just needs some tweaking.

His move set... The Sm4sh one.

Alt costume.. TOM NOOK!

Hey, guys! I'm finally back to talk some stuff, even though no one cares about me or thinks I'm popular in any way. :D

Anyway, I thought of two semi-clone Specials for Ninten that are surprisingly fresh and unique.

Side B: PK Paralysis - You can already imagine the projectile looking like a PK Fire, except this one obviously has the advantage of stunning the foe.

Down B: PSI Shield - After looking at how large Ness' Magnet looks in Smash 4, I had the idea of replicating that size in the form of a reflector shield that allies can hide behind! I'm conflicted on whether or not I should give a limmit to how long the shield can stay up, or if it is breakable.

The rest is up to the other fans.

Trying to make Ninten the Wolf o' Donell of Ness. ^^

:p

Why not? Dr. Mario and Mario are different characters, so why can't the alt thing happen, eh?

And BTW, there are BrawlEx mods, and you don't see Nintendo complaining about those.
Those aren't popular and in the spotlight like PM and Mario and Dr. Mario being different characters was stupid, that's why Dr. Mario is just an alt costume in PM

No, they aren't.

P:M is a complete package freely available online that people can literally make money off of as it's featured in global events that distribute funds to participants. Back-porting characters would directly cause the game to compete with smash 4 sales.
BrawlEX mods are not sponsored or featured anywhere and are in no way competing with Nintendo and Smash 4.

Stop rebutting. Smash 4 characters aren't getting in.

That's what happens when you argue for a character that simply can't be put in. I used to be an avid Bowser Jr. supporter, but as soon as his trailer was revealed for S4, all his votes within this thread became null in void since the PMDT refuse to back-port S4 characters. That's just how it is.

Now you can support Tom Nook by himself no problem though, just not Villager. In fact he already has quite a bit of support based on our results.

I can NOT believe that Takamaru was considered. When I read that little note about how he was the most likely candidate for Sm4sh, I was in shock. I thought he was one of the more unique assist trophies myself and was just thinking that he had character potential when I first saw him.

Really irks me to find out that he was considered, because now I will remember that Duck Hunt beat him as the replacement for Ice Climbers since a new 8-bit rep was needed. So upset that he was canned now, but it is an honor to actually be considered at all. Either way, this will fill me with disappointment for a while.
