People don't host stuff in Chicago. Only people who live in Chicago who are active are myself, Arty/Quik, Scythe, Sago, and Kain. We're all too lazy to get a tournament venue.

Bsticking is so weird for Ness. Do you think it's worth giving up part Ness' amazing aerial game (retreating fairs are the ultimate defensive move) for stuff crazy PKF tricks?

You can do retreating f-airs while bsticking just fine if your hands are fast enough. I played this game for about the first 8 months without using cstick for aerials and never had any trouble retreating f-airs. Also I need to meet EB360 so we can play TvC. No one plays around here and my Zero/Casshern practice is going to waste ><

I'm not giving it up though. I can retreat fairs with the stick and A button totally fine. It's the bounce on PKF that I'd be giving up otherwise.

****, son. I feel like a bad mod if you don't notice me haha.
You two should wrestle in chocolate pudding/some other food product/water wearing white shirts in order to make up for your differences for this horrible insult.

So many TvCers from Canadia. Move here to MD. The active TvC scene here is part of the reason I got back into Brawl :p

Pshaw! You forget. I'm old skool Ness, too! ;) But maybe not as old skool as EB360 here.
*hugs*

EB360 didn't even notice me.

I am disappoint.
Of course I noticed you
*hugs also*

Set one of your shield buttons to jump; problem solved. You never need to have 2 shield buttons.
I use R to attack

We used to have a very dedicated group of TvC players in Windsor, but we were all also SSFIV players, and since some people didn't play TvC but everyone played SSFIV we kinda stopped playing TvC. TvC is still my favorite fighting game right now though, I just have no one to play with : (

I will never understand this control setup :/. Y/R Jump, X Grab, Tap Jump Off (optional really), the rest defaults allows you to perform just about any AT in this game comfortably with the possible exception of pivot walking (or w/e the actual name for it is). To each their own I guess...

You should totally play me ^_^

This thing follows me through every fighting game I noticed. If theres something advanced, I WILL use it to the fullest. In TvC, I'm always doing much harder things than most in a combo and such.

But anyhoo, thats not exactly right. It's:

Y: Grab
R: Attack
C: Special
Z: Jump

:3

Real men use X for specials.

HAI EB360!
Hai :D

Set one of your shield buttons to jump; problem solved. You never need to have 2 shield buttons.
Holding both R and L makes your shield 10% larger and you take 50% less chip damage and with less blockstun you can DP out and kill stuff with shotgun + melee

@dajay: should I ask my bosses if I can use a part of their restaurant for a smash tournament one of these days? I doubt they'll ever have room, because all saturdays are busy... But literally there aren't any tourneys I can go to without driving 2hrs.

@eb360: I use these controls:
L = jump,
Tapjump off,
Y = special,
All else normal.

I never use the Y though... It's just habit to use B.

I have really quick fingers to input things that wavebounce/breverse... I just lost my ability to do pkjump wavebounce in the course of time (it involves sooooo much precision).

my hands are too big for any of the aforementioned control schemes to seem comfortable

default with tap jump off on a classic controller is my deal

I guess nobody is man enough here to use default controls and tap jump on. I need my usmash oos and running upbs on characters and tap jump makes it too easy to perform while tap jump never hinders me in anyway.

BISH. I use default controls and tap jump on. I feel like I'm cheating if I ever change the controls. I play the game the way it's supposed to be played! :3
