You don't even need to take tests to get into AP classes. You just need to qualify for them, then tell your councilor that you want to take them(at least at my school)

AP Tests are in May. They are tests you take for college credit, not for admission into a class.

I had to take tests to get into all of my AP classes except Calculus and Spanish 5 because there is no such thing as non-AP of those classes, or there weren't at my high school.

I only took a couple or so AP classes at High School... I flunked my AP Politics test by getting the lowest grade possible. What a waste of time.

Speaking of personal experiences, mine is: don't take AP classes if you don't have to. Just take the equivalent community college class, get a decent grade and make sure those credits transfer to whatever school you want to go to. It doesn't look bad on your application, you get the same credits, and you don't have to take a random bull**** test to determine whether you actually get the credits or not.

on the other hand, you can take the classes during regular school hours, have it count towards your GPA, and not have to deal with the random people who are actually in community college taking world history classes

in my experience: may as well take AP. the tests are incredibly easy anyway

yea in (WA) at least its considered unethical and is illegal to do anything to discourage any student for taking AP classes such as tests or assignments for entry requirements as long as the proper course prerequisites have been met.

I don't think you need to even meet the "prerequisites" in public school. I'm pretty sure its federal law.
